At present, the smart city offers the most desired state of urban development, encompassing, as it does, the concept of sustainable development. The creation of a smart city is closely associated with upgrading the construction industry to encompass many emerging concepts and technologies, such as Construction 4.0, with its roots in Industry 4.0, and the deployment of building information modeling (BIM) as an essential tool for the construction industry. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the current state of the art and development trajectory of the multidisciplinary integration of Construction 4.0, Industry 4.0, BIM, and sustainable construction in the context of the smart city. It is the first attempt in the literature to use both macro-quantitative analysis and micro-qualitative analysis methods to investigate this multidisciplinary research topic. By using the visual bibliometric tool, VOSviewer, and based on macro keyword co-occurrence, this paper is the first to reveal the five keyword-constructed schemes, research hotspots, and development trends of the smart city, Construction 4.0, Industry 4.0, BIM, and sustainable construction, from 2014 to 2021 (a period of eight years). Additionally, the top 11 productive subject areas have been identified with the help of VOSviewer software keyword-clustering analysis and application. Furthermore, the whole-building life cycle is considered as an aid to identifying research gaps and trends, providing suggestions for future research with the assistance of an upgraded version of BIM, namely, city information modeling (CIM) and the future integration of Industry 5.0 and Construction 5.0, or even of Industry Metaverse with Construction Metaverse.</p

Highly Enantioselective Synthesis of Dihydroquinazolinones Catalyzed by SPINOL-Phosphoric Acids

    No full text
The asymmetric condensation/amine addition cascade sequence of 2-aminobenzamides and aldehydes catalyzed by chiral spirocyclic SPINOL-phosphoric acids was realized. SPINOL-phosphoric acid <b>1j</b> was found to be a general, highly enantioselective organocatalyst for such cascade reactions at room temperature, affording 2,3-dihydroquinazolinones in excellent yields (up to 99%) with good to excellent ee’s (up to 98%). The best level of stereocontrol was obtained for aromatic aldehydes with an ortho substituent

Generation and Characterization of Recombinant Antibody-like ADP-Ribose Binding Proteins

    No full text
ADP-ribosylation is an enzyme-catalyzed post-translational modification of proteins in which the ADP-ribose (ADPR) moiety of NAD+ is transferred to a specific amino acid in a substrate protein. The biological functions of ADP-ribosylation are numerous and diverse, ranging from normal physiology to pathological conditions. Biochemical and cellular studies of the diverse forms and functions of ADPR require immunological reagents that can be used for detection and enrichment. The lack of a complete set of tools that recognize all forms of ADPR [i.e., mono-, oligo-, and poly(ADP-ribose)] has hampered progress. Herein, we describe the generation and characterization of a set of recombinant antibody-like ADP-ribose binding proteins, in which naturally occurring ADPR binding domains, including macrodomains and WWE domains, have been functionalized by fusion to the Fc region of rabbit immunoglobulin. These reagents, which collectively recognize all forms of ADPR with different specificities, are useful in a broad array of antibody-based assays, such as immunoblotting, immunofluorescent staining of cells, and immunoprecipitation. Observations from these assays suggest that the biology of ADPR is more diverse, rich, and complex than previously thought. The ARBD–Fc fusion proteins described herein will be useful tools for future exploration of the chemistry, biochemistry, and biology of ADP-ribose

Data_Sheet_1_Consumers' knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial use in food production in China.PDF

BackgroundAntimicrobial resistance (AMR) can be induced by overuse or misuse of antimicrobials. Few researches were involved in consumers' knowledge and attitude toward antimicrobial use (AMU) in food production. This study was designed to investigate the knowledge and awareness, perception, and attitude of Chinese consumers toward AMU in food production. Their behavior, purchase intention of antimicrobial-free food products, and confidence in information sources were also investigated.MethodsAs a descriptive cross-sectional study, an online electronic survey questionnaire was conducted between February 25 and March 8, 2022, involving 1,065 consumers in China. Factor analysis was conducted to identify underlying patterns of the attitudes and information sources. Spearman correlations were employed to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and the intention to pay extra. The differences in knowledge and attitudes were performed by independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, and the difference in intention was performed by Chi-square test, when compared with demographic factors.ResultsThe findings showed that even though 75.0% of them heard of AMR, and 48.2% knew the definition of AMR, the level of consumers' knowledge of AMU in farming production and food regulations in China was not high (48.9% of participants replied correctly). About half viewed AMU and AMR as a potential risk to their health. Of these participants, 61.3% claimed that they were more likely looking for specific information about AMU on food packaging, and 58.3% changed their eating or cooking habits due to the concern. In addition, 79.8% were willing to pay extra for antimicrobial-free food products. Information sources from professionals and authorities were considered more accurate than those from media, the internet, word of mouth, and others.ConclusionsChinese consumers had insufficient knowledge and neutral attitudes about AMU in farming production and food regulations in China. A large proportion of the participants were willing to purchase antimicrobial-free food products. Most of them obtained related information from the media. This study highlighted the importance of updated education and effective communication with consumers in China. It helps to develop the reliable foodborne AMR surveillance system along food chain and improve government communication and consumer awareness.</p

Analysis of the effect of 60Co irradiation sterilization on the chemical composition of volatile organic compounds in Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii using GC-IMS

    No full text
The volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii were extracted via steam distillation and then irradiated with 60Co-γ rays, in which doses of 60Co-γ 0, 5, and 10 kGy were selected to irradiate the VOCs. Finally, gas chromatography–ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) was used to compare the differences between the VOCs, and then qualitatively analyse the components and contents of each part of the VOCs The results showed that under the three irradiation doses of 60Co-γ 0, 5 and 10 kGy, the VOCs of unirradiated and 5 kGy-irradiated samples were closer, and the samples irradiated at a 10 kGy dose were quite different from the other two components, meaning that when the calamus medicinal materials were sterilised by means of 60Co irradiation, the dose of 5 kGy was closer to the original compound content of the medicinal materials.</p
