It was found that stable few-body spin-structures, pairs and triplexes, may
exist as basic constituents in small spin-3 condensates, and they will play the
role as building blocks when the parameters of interaction are appropriate.

Metric of a tidally distorted, nonrotating black hole
The metric of a tidally distorted, nonrotating black hole is presented in a
light-cone coordinate system that penetrates the event horizon and possesses a
clear geometrical meaning. The metric is expressed as an expansion in powers of
r/R << 1, where r is a measure of distance from the black hole and R is the
local radius of curvature of the external spacetime; this is assumed to be much
larger than M, the mass of the black hole. The metric is calculated up to a
remainder of order (r/R)^4, and it depends on a family of tidal gravitational
fields which characterize the hole's local environment. The coordinate system
allows an easy identification of the event horizon, and expressions are derived
for its surface gravity and the rates at which the tidal interaction transfers

Fragmentation of Nuclei at Intermediate and High Energies in Modified Cascade Model
The process of nuclear multifragmentation has been implemented, together with
evaporation and fission channels of the disintegration of excited remnants in
nucleus-nucleus collisions using percolation theory and the intranuclear
cascade model. Colliding nuclei are treated as face--centered--cubic lattices
with nucleons occupying the nodes of the lattice. The site--bond percolation
model is used. The code can be applied for calculation of the fragmentation of
nuclei in spallation and multifragmentation reactions.Comment: 19 pages, 10 figure
Gravitational waves from nonspinning black hole-neutron star binaries: dependence on equations of state
We report results of a numerical-relativity simulation for the merger of a
black hole-neutron star binary with a variety of equations of state (EOSs)
modeled by piecewise polytropes. We focus in particular on the dependence of
the gravitational waveform at the merger stage on the EOSs. The initial
conditions are computed in the moving-puncture framework, assuming that the
black hole is nonspinning and the neutron star has an irrotational velocity
field. For a small mass ratio of the binaries (e.g., MBH/MNS = 2 where MBH and
MNS are the masses of the black hole and neutron star, respectively), the
neutron star is tidally disrupted before it is swallowed by the black hole
irrespective of the EOS. Especially for less-compact neutron stars, the tidal
disruption occurs at a more distant orbit. The tidal disruption is reflected in
a cutoff frequency of the gravitational-wave spectrum, above which the spectrum
amplitude exponentially decreases. A clear relation is found between the cutoff
frequency of the gravitational-wave spectrum and the compactness of the neutron
star. This relation also depends weakly on the stiffness of the EOS in the core
region of the neutron star, suggesting that not only the compactness but also
the EOS at high density is reflected in gravitational waveforms. The mass of
the disk formed after the merger shows a similar correlation with the EOS,
whereas the spin of the remnant black hole depends primarily on the mass ratio
of the binary, and only weakly on the EOS. Properties of the remnant disks are

Collision of spinning black holes in the close limit
In this paper we consider the collision of spinning holes using first order
perturbation theory of black holes (Teukolsky formalism). With these results
(along with ones, we published in the past) one can predict the properties of
the gravitational waves radiated from the late stage inspiral of two spinning,
equal mass black holes. Also we note that the energy radiated by the head-on
collision of two spinning holes with spins (that are equal and opposite)
aligned along the common axis is more than the case in which the spins are

New atlas of IR solar spectra
Over 4500 absorption lines have been marked on the spectra and the corresponding line positions tabulated. The associated absorbing telluric or solar species for more than 90% of these lines have been identified and only a fraction of the unidentified lines have peak absorptions greater than a few percent. The high resolution and the low Sun spectra greatly enhance the sensitivity limits for identification of trace constituents
Clustering of solutions in the random satisfiability problem
Using elementary rigorous methods we prove the existence of a clustered phase
in the random -SAT problem, for . In this phase the solutions are
grouped into clusters which are far away from each other. The results are in
agreement with previous predictions of the cavity method and give a rigorous
confirmation to one of its main building blocks. It can be generalized to other
