A fost realizat examenul clinic la 17 pacienţi şi 12 dinţi trataţi cu carie aproximală cu aplicarea unor măsuri de prevenţie care au micşorat necesitatea unor intervenţii repetate şi excluderea unor complicaţii.Summary. A clinical examination was performed in 17 patients and 12 teeth treated with the cavity approximated by applying preventive measures which have reduced the need for repeated interventions and exclude complications

Moldova şi consultaţia a 150 pacienţi mucoparodontopaţi cu scopul de a determina locul şi atitudinea medicilor şi pacienţilor faţă de starea componentului mucoparodontal, evidenţierea şi constatarea paradoxurilor stomatologice în acest domeniu.Summary We accomplished a survey of 250 dentists from different localities of the R. Moldova and consulted 150 patients with muco‑parodontal diseases in order to determine their place and attitude towards the muco‑parodontal component, to emphasize and to establish the stomatological paradoxes in this area

Evaluation of the biochemical composition and antioxidant activity of preparation based on pigments extracted from the remaining biomass of <i>Arthrospira platensis</i>

Biotechnological research is currently focused on obtaining preparations based on natural pigments due to their properties and positive impact on human and animal health. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the biochemical composition and antioxidant activity of the preparation based on pigments obtained from the remaining biomass of Arthrospira platensis. The obtained results established that the preparation is characterized by a high content of β-carotene, lutein, chlorophyll pigments, and sulfated polysaccharides. Due to its composition, the preparation also possesses high antioxidant activity and the catalase and superoxide dismutase enzymes. These findings highlight the high biological value of the new preparation and the enormous potential for implementation in medicine, the animal husbandry sector, and the food and cosmetic industry

BioR the treatment of deep majuscule caries and some forms of pulpits

Rezumat. Cercetările clinice realizate prin tratamentul a 196 dinţi afectaţi de carie şi pulpită acută focară la 155 pacienţi (grupa martor a fost medicată cu Calcium Hydroxide, iar cea de experienţă cu BioR) au apreciat Bior-ul ca biopreparat net superior cu capacităţi de menţinere a vitalităţii şi integrităţii organului pulpar.Summary. Clinical studies in the treatment of 196 cases of caries and acute focal pulpits (135 patients of which the witness group treated with Calcium Hydroxide and the trial groups with BioR) showed BioR to be definitely superior and capable of maintaining the vitality and integrity of the pulpal organ

Some results of preventive endodontic treatment performed by practising dentists

Catedra Stomatologie Terapeutică FPM USMF „Nicolae Testemiţanu”The analysis of endodontic treatment results of 186 teeth (46 monoradicular and 140 pluriradicular) performed by practising dentists have shown a lot of errors followed by severe local and general complications are still made: roof undermining – 48.3%, step development in the canal – 23.35%, endodontic instruments fractures in the apical and middle third of canal – 9.7%, periodontal mechanical and chemical lesions – 16.5%, periapical endodontic accidents – 5.9%, 2 cases of neuropathy of the lower alveolar nerve and vertical root fractures – 3.2%. Analiza rezultatelor tratamentului endodontic a 186 de dinţi (46 monoradiculari şi 140 pluriradiculari) efectuat de medicii stomatologi practici a demonstrat că sunt comise încă multe erori сu consecinţe grave locale şi generale: subminări de tavan- 48,3%; apariţie de trepte pe canal – 23,35%; 9,7% de fracturi de instrumente endodontice în treimea medie şi apicală de canal; 16,5% de traumatizme mecanice şi chimice periodontale; 5,9% de accidente endodontice periapicale şi 2 cazuri de neuropatie a nervului alveolar inferior; 3,2% de fracturări verticale de rădăcină etc

Rezumat. Unul din cele mai mari progrese în stomatologia modernă a fost atins în endodonţie, care manifestă simptomul de bază — doloritatea. O organizare corectă a urgenţelor stomatologice în bolile pulpei şi ţesutului periapical vor include obligatoriu un şir de măsuri. Diagnosticarea cu stabilirea an amnesticului general şi stomatologic, evoluţia clinică şi manifestările temporale, intensitatea durerii, investigaţiile clinice şi fizice (palparea, percuţia, testele diagnostice: de temperatură, încălzire, răcire, electrometric) vor fi obligatorii. Unicul simptom în regiunea maxilo-faciala poate fi edemul. Tratamentul de urgenţă în endodonţie va urma trei regulii: 1.Tratamentul va fi efectuat doar după confirmarea diagnosticului. 2.Mai bine nu se va trata, decât să se trateze incorect. 3. La apariţia dubiilor diagnostice, va fi obligatorie consultaţia altor stomatologi. În urgenţa endodontică principala procedură de tratament va fi cea simptomatică.Summary. One of the greatest advances in modern stomatology was reached in endodontics, which present the pain like basic symptom. A proper organization of dental emergencies in the dental pulp and periapical tissue diseases will obligatory include a number of actions. The diagnosis which will establish the general and stomatological anamnesis, the clinical evolution and the temporal manifestations, the pain intensity, the physical and clinical investigations (palpation, percussion, diagnostic tests: temperature, heating, cooling, electrometric) will be compulsory. The only possible symptom in maxillofacial region may be the swelling. Endodontics emergency treatment will follow three rules: 1.Treatment will be performed only after confirming the diagnosis. 2. Better not to treat than to treat incorrectly. 3.In case of diagnostic doubt, the consultation of other stomatologists will be mandatory. In case of endodontic emergency the main treatment procedure will be the symptomatic one

Aspects biomechanical of therapeutic in direct restoration with composites and glassionomer cements

Rezumat. Este făcută analiza a 450 cazuri clinice de terapie restaurativă directă cu compozite şi cementuri glasionomere, enumerându‑se principiile de bază ale conduitei terapeutice. Marele Leonardo da Vinci menţionează „…Cei ce preferă practica fără ştiinţă sunt asemănător celor ce mânuiesc corabia fără compas. Ei nici odată nu ştiu unde se duc…“. Este cunoscut faptul, că pentru a selecta un material de refacere va fi necesar de luat în evidenţa câteva momente cheie: 1.Situaţia clinică concretă; 2.Prezenţa materialului de refacere în instituţia curativă; 3.Calificativul profesional al medicului stomatolog în terapia de refacere; 4.Cerinţele estetice şi posibilităţile financiare ale pacientului.
