OPTIMAL AREA AND PERFORMANCE MAPPING OF K-LUT BASED FPGAS

    Get PDF
FPGA circuits are increasingly used in many fields: for rapid prototyping of new products (including fast ASIC implementation), for logic emulation, for producing a small number of a device, or if a device should be reconfigurable in use (reconfigurable computing). Determining if an arbitrary, given wide, function can be implemented by a programmable logic block, unfortunately, it is generally, a very difficult problem. This problem is called the Boolean matching problem. This paper introduces a new implemented algorithm able to map, both for area and performance, combinational networks using k-LUT based FPGAs.k-LUT based FPGAs, combinational circuits, performance-driven mapping.

DSmT Decision-Making Algorithms for Finding Grasping Configurations of Robot Dexterous Hands

    Get PDF
In this paper, we present a deciding technique for robotic dexterous hand configurations. This algorithm can be used to decide on how to configure a robotic hand so it can grasp objects in different scenarios. Receiving as input, several sensor signals that provide information on the object’s shape, the DSmT decision-making algorithm passes the information through several steps before deciding what hand configuration should be used for a certain object and task

OPTIMIZING LARGE COMBINATIONAL NETWORKS FOR K-LUT BASED FPGA MAPPING

    Get PDF
Optimizing by partitioning is a central problem in VLSI design automation, addressing circuit’s manufacturability. Circuit partitioning has multiple applications in VLSI design. One of the most common is that of dividing combinational circuits (usually large ones) that will not fit on a single package among a number of packages. Partitioning is of practical importance for k-LUT based FPGA circuit implementation. In this work is presented multilevel a multi-resource partitioning algorithm for partitioning large combinational circuits in order to efficiently use existing and commercially available FPGAs packagestwo-way partitioning, multi-way partitioning, recursive partitioning, flat partitioning, critical path, cutting cones, bottom-up clusters, top-down min-cut

New Media E-marketing Campaign. Case Study for a Romanian Press Trust

    Get PDF
AbstractThe impact of new media on the organization of the companies has increased a lot in the recent years. This was achieved either through the implementation of new media tools for the business management, or by opening up to clients or other companies using social media. Attracting new customers and communicate with them by using social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter that have become a necessity. In this work we have done a case study applied to press trust in Romania. For a period of 2 years will be done a total of 5 marketing campaigns on the social network platform Facebook. In this paper we will present the results of the first three campaigns, the other two still being in progress. We will see the link between campaigns and various specific metrics, such as the number of users, the number of likes on the company's Facebook page or revenues from online advertising

Deciphering voids in Dasycladales, the case of Dragastanella transylvanica, a new Lower Cretaceous triploporellacean genus and species from Romania

AbstractDragastanella transylvanica n. gen. n. sp. is described. Its calcified skeleton contains numerous voids, partly related to the molds of soft parts of the alga, but also related to lack of calcification. Interpretation of these voids, especially their attribution to original structures (e.g., primary lateral versus reproductive organ), has important implications for the taxonomic position of the alga, even at the family level. Examination of key sections that include the boundary between sterile and fertile parts of the alga excludes the occurrence of external reproductive organs. Unusual, paired pores in the outer part of the mineralized skeleton reflect an asymmetry within the whorl, excluding the presence of secondary laterals. The alga is characterized by a cylindrical to club-shaped thallus bearing only phloiophorous primary laterals arranged in whorls and flaring outwards, forming a cortex. Mineralized lenticular reproductive organs containing cysts set in the equatorial plane (Russoella-type gametophores) occur inside primary laterals (cladosporous arrangement of the reproductive organs). These characters support establishment of the new genus Dragastanella. Dragastanella transylvanica n. gen. n. sp. resembles species previously referred to Zittelina (Zittelina hispanica and Zittelina massei) and Triploporella (Triploporella matesina and Triploporella carpatica). Except for Triploporella carpatica, whose mineralized skeleton does not permit confident attribution to either Triploporella or Dragastanella n. gen., the other species must be ascribed to Dragastanella n. gen. Therefore, the following new combinations are proposed: Dragastanella hispanica n. comb., Dragastanella massei n. comb., and Dragastanella matesina n. comb. Despite widely overlapping biometrical measurements, these species can be differentiated by the size and location of their reproductive organs, the pattern of calcification around the primary laterals, and relationships among structural parameters such as the size of laterals, number of laterals per whorl, and distance between whorls

    SUN TRACKING PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

    Get PDF
The purpose of this paper is the design and realization of a prototype system for tracking the position of the sun, with two axes of rotation. The operating principle of the device is based on changing the position of the photovoltaic modules in the direction of the sun's rays, which maximizes the production of electricity. Solar panels with automatic adjustment according to the position of the sun are an innovative solution for optimizing the use of the solar energy. The promotion and use of solar energy is essential in our efforts to protect the planet and ensure a sustainable future

Studies on green areas design in Belin commune, Covasna county

This article presents a practical study realized when preparing the technical project for landscaping, by realizing green areas in Belin commune, Covasna County. The project involves the arrangement of new green areas which are currently not arranged and the increase of the green areas surface in Belin locality, the endowment with street furniture of such arrangements in order to improve and rehabilitate the urban public infrastructure and the execution of a playground. By complex and appropriate interventions, thus land of over two hectares shall be arranged as Public Park, with endowments addressing persons of all ages, an opportunity for meetings and relaxation in the said area (HG 321/2005). Such aims shall be achieved by means of rest areas in a planted space, appropriate for walks and relaxation and for the execution for children playgrounds

On the vortex parameter estimation using wide band signals in active acoustic system

International audienceThis paper proposes a new method for detection of the vortex presence in fluid flow based on an active acoustic system. The experiment that validates the theory was done on a reduced scale facility using ultrasonic transceivers. The main objective was to highlight the effect of a cavitation vortex on an applied wide band signal. In order to accomplish that, the Recurrence Plot Analysis (RPA) was investigated which emhasizes similar states of a dynamic process. The Tests were done from no vortex cavitation flow to vortex cavitation flow and backward
