Constraints on charged Higgs bosons from D(s)+- -> mu+- nu and D(s)+- -> tau+- nu
The decays D(s)+- -> mu+- nu and D(s)+- -> tau+- nu have traditionally been
used to measure the D(s)+- meson decay constant f_D(s). Recent measurements at
CLEO-c and the B factories suggest a branching ratio for both decays somewhat
higher than the Standard Model prediction using f_D(s) from unquenched lattice
calculations. The charged Higgs boson (H+-) in the Two Higgs Doublet Model
(Type II) would also mediate these decays, but any sizeable contribution from
H+- can only suppress the branching ratios and consequently is now slightly
disfavoured. It is shown that constraints on the parameters tan(beta) and m_H+-
from such decays can be competitive with and complementary to analogous
constraints derived from the leptonic meson decays B+- -> tau+- nu_tau and K+-
-> mu+- nu_mu, especially if lattice calculations eventually prefer f_D(s) <
250 MeV.Comment: 18 pages, 4 figure
Video-based Simulations: Considerations for Teaching Students with Developmental Disabilities
The use of video-based multimedia simulations for teaching functional skills to persons with developmental disabilities remains an unexplored application of technology for this group. This article examines the historical literature in this area, and discusses future considerations, design issues, and implications of using multimedia simulations. Implementation issues are presented, and suggestions regarding design, development, and application of multimedia simulations are offered. Considerations address the importance of appropriate role modeling and the combination of video-based simulation and in vivo training to foster generalization and maintenance in the context of transition to the real world.Yeshttps://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/manuscript-submission-guideline
Observation of the Charmed Baryon Decays to , , and
We have observed two new decay modes of the charmed baryon into
and using data collected with the
CLEO II detector. We also present the first measurement of the branching
fraction for the previously observed decay mode . The branching fractions for these three modes relative to
are measured to be , , and , respectively.Comment: 12 page uuencoded postscript file, postscript file also available

Study of the B^0 Semileptonic Decay Spectrum at the Upsilon(4S) Resonance
We have made a first measurement of the lepton momentum spectrum in a sample
of events enriched in neutral B's through a partial reconstruction of B0 -->
D*- l+ nu. This spectrum, measured with 2.38 fb**-1 of data collected at the
Upsilon(4S) resonance by the CLEO II detector, is compared directly to the
inclusive lepton spectrum from all Upsilon(4S) events in the same data set.
These two spectra are consistent with having the same shape above 1.5 GeV/c.
From the two spectra and two other CLEO measurements, we obtain the B0 and B+
semileptonic branching fractions, b0 and b+, their ratio, and the production
ratio f+-/f00 of B+ and B0 pairs at the Upsilon(4S). We report b+/b0=0.950
(+0.117-0.080) +- 0.091, b0 = (10.78 +- 0.60 +- 0.69)%, and b+ = (10.25 +- 0.57
+- 0.65)%. b+/b0 is equivalent to the ratio of charged to neutral B lifetimes,
tau+/tau0.Comment: 14 page, postscript file also available at

Production and Decay of D_1(2420)^0 and D_2^*(2460)^0
We have investigated and final states and
observed the two established charmed mesons, the with mass
MeV/c and width MeV/c and
the with mass MeV/c and width
MeV/c. Properties of these final states, including
their decay angular distributions and spin-parity assignments, have been
studied. We identify these two mesons as the doublet predicted
by HQET. We also obtain constraints on {\footnotesize } as a function of the cosine of the relative phase of the two
amplitudes in the decay.Comment: 15 pages in REVTEX format. hardcopies with figures can be obtained by

Measurement of the branching fraction for
We have studied the leptonic decay of the resonance into tau
pairs using the CLEO II detector. A clean sample of tau pair events is
identified via events containing two charged particles where exactly one of the
particles is an identified electron. We find . The result is consistent with
expectations from lepton universality.Comment: 9 pages, RevTeX, two Postscript figures available upon request, CLNS

Study of B meson decays to three-body charmless hadronic final states
We report results of a study of charmless B meson decays to three-body KPiPi,
KKPi and KKK final states. Measurements of branching fractions for B decays to
K+0Pi+Pi-, K+K+K-, K0K+K-, KsKsK+ and KsKsKs final states are presented. The
decays B0=>K0K+K-, B+=>KsKsK+ and B0=>KsKsKs are observed for the first time.
We also report evidence for B+=>K+K-Pi+ decay. For the three-body final states
K0K+K-, KsKsPi+, K+K+Pi- and K-Pi+Pi+ 90% confidence level upper limits are
reported. Finally, we discuss the possibility of using the three-body
B0=>KsK+K- decay for CP violation studies. The results are obtained with a 78
fb^-1 data sample collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the Belle detector
operating at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+e- collider.Comment: 15 pages, 6 figures. To be submitted to PR
Measurement of the Decay Asymmetry Parameters in and
We have measured the weak decay asymmetry parameters (\aLC ) for two \LC\
decay modes. Our measurements are \aLC = -0.94^{+0.21+0.12}_{-0.06-0.06} for
the decay mode and \aLC = -0.45\pm 0.31 \pm
0.06 for the decay mode . By combining these
measurements with the previously measured decay rates, we have extracted the
parity-violating and parity-conserving amplitudes. These amplitudes are used to
test models of nonleptonic charmed baryon decay.Comment: 11 pages including the figures. Uses REVTEX and psfig macros. Figures

Charmless Hadronic Two-Body B Meson Decays
We report the results of a study of two-body B meson decays to the complete
set of K pi, pi pi, and K K final states. The study is performed on a data
sample of 31.7 +/- 0.3 million B B-bar events recorded on the Upsilon(4S)
resonance by the Belle experiment at KEKB. We observe significant signals in
all K pi final states and in the pi+ pi- and pi+ pi0 final states. We set
limits on the pi0 pi0 and K K final states. A search is performed for
partial-rate asymmetries between conjugate states for flavor-specific final
states.Comment: Submitted to PR
A Measurement of the Decay Asymmetry Parameters in \Xi_{c}^{0}\to \X^{-}\pi^{+}
Using the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring we have
measured the decay asymmetry parameter in the decay . We find , using the world average value of
we obtain . The physically allowed range of a decay
asymmetry parameter is . Our result prefers a negative value:
is at the 90% CL. The central value occupies the
middle of the theoretically expected range but is not yet precise enough to
choose between models.Comment: 10 pages postscript, also available through
