    This study aims to: (1) Describe the strategy of Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta high school principals in improving school quality, (2) Describe teacher performance at Surakarta Muhammadiyah 2 High School in improving school quality. This type of research is qualitative. Research design is case study. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation. Data analysis techniques with interactive models include data collection, reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is done by data source triangulation and method triangulation.The results of the study show that: (1) the principal's strategy is to make a four-year plan containing short, medium and long-term programs which are then delegated to the vice principal, homeroom teacher, teaching teacher and staff staff (2) Teacher performance in improving school quality through assignments given by the principal. Teachers are also given trainings such as seminars, training and workshops to become competent teachers. Competent teachers can support the improvement of school quality both in academic and non-academic terms

    This study was conducted to determine how the application of teams game tournaments as learning model to improve the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction fractions in class V-A MI Bustanul Ulum. This research is a research with a qualitative approach and uses a type of classroom action research. This research was conducted using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, tests and documentation. In this study, researchers used research instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview guidelines, test and documentation check lists. At this time, it can be seen that many students experience difficulties in math subjects, especially material about addition and subtraction of fractions. Learning outcomes are influenced by several factors such as learning activities that are still conservative and the assumption of students that mathematics is a difficult subject. To overcome this problem, it can be done by selecting the right learning model, which further stimulates students' curiosity optimally and makes students interested in learning mathematics subjects, so that an active and conducive learning atmosphere is created and can arouse the spirit of student learning activities. One of the cooperative learning models that can involve students actively is the type of teams game tournament. This study found that the application of learning model teams game tournament can improve the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction fractions in class V-A MI Bustanul Ulum with a percentage of completeness of 86.11%. This research has implications for teacher educators to improve the ability of teacher educators in teaching and learning activities to achieve good student learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Model, Game Tournament Teams, Student Learning Outcomes, Addition and Subtraction Fractions.
