In this article basic results of theoretical and experimental research and monitoring data are given, which make it possible to demonstrate the need of woodland conservancy construction on recreational and sports facilities. The undertaken study demonstrated the effectiveness of the usage of geo-compositional systems, allowing to achieve topsoil stability on the surface of a slope, to establish favorable conditions for development of plant root system and to slow down overland flow. The usage of such systems is directed to achieve sustainable development of recreational and sports complexes as natural-industrial systems. The photographs of the objects are presented

Tubing facilities in the system of recreational urban territories

The study was conducted in the field of temporary monofunctional recreational tubing facilities. Using the example of artificial structures in Moscow, city-forming and technological features as promising centers of activity of urban parks in large cities were studied. The phenomenon of continuity of modern temporary recreational facilities to the traditions of the historic “Roller slides” as a part of park spaces and independent small architectural forms was studied. The life cycle of facilities (from design and installation to dismantling) was tracked. The structural scheme of tubing facilities on the basis of rod building structures and their engineering and technological support were studied. The statistics of attendance was analyzed, and the target audience of the complexes was identified. Energy efficiency, reliability, and environmental friendliness of facilities were proved. The paper proposes a proprietary methodology for assessing the adaptability of tubing facilities to the environment. It is presented as an object matrix

Results of screening for antibodies to varicella-zoster virus in healthcare workers of a multidisciplinary hospital in Moscow

Introduction. Given the unfavorable epidemic situation with chickenpox and shingles in Russia, there is a high risk of virus introduction and spread in healthcare settings, including among medical staff who are not immune to varicella zoster virus (VZV). The objective of this study is to assess the immunity of employees of a multidisciplinary hospital in Moscow to VZV. Materials and methods. A selective screening study was carried out. Venous blood serum samples were taken from 1546 hospital employees as material for detection of IgG antibodies to VZV antigens using a commercial solid-phase enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) test system "Vecto VZV-IgG". All employees were questioned to obtain information about their infectious and vaccine history in relation to VZV. Results and discussion. Screening for antibodies to VZV in the hospital workers revealed that 6.3% of those workers are not immune to VZV. The proportion of seronegative individuals was the highest (12.6 ± 2.4%) in the age group of 29 years and younger. VZV seronegative healthcare workers were found in various departments, but the presence of non-immune individuals among the staff of the obstetrics and gynecology departments (6.5%) is of epidemiologic concern. The results of the survey showed that documented data on infection and vaccination history cannot be used to assess the protection of healthcare workers against VZV infection. Conclusion. The results of serologic screening for antibodies to VZV made it possible to identify a significant number of susceptible employees of the multidisciplinary hospital. In order to prevent the formation of multiple epidemic foci of varicella in medical organizations, it is advisable to include anti-VZV testing of medical staff in the state prevention programs with subsequent vaccination of non-immune individuals

The development of “Smart Cities” is associated with a comprehensive study of the General system of settlement. The aim of the study is to use the system of indicators for the objective assessment of territories, as well as determining the effect of each part in the overall assessment of the functioning of the «Smart City». The leading method of research is a comparative analysis of international rankings, surveys of experts and a comprehensive study of indicators. The article analyzes the papers of specialists working in the field of research «Smart Cities» and technologies: Mueller, Battarra, Srivastava, Dolgikh etc. The basis for this work were the studies by authoritative rating organizations such as IESE Business School University of Navarra, Vienna University of Technology and Research Institute of technology and communications (NIITC, Russia) which allowed to generalize the available research from the perspective of sustainable development and use them on a concrete example. The authors have adapted the existing groups of indicators in relation to the SKOLKOVO innovation city, Russia. The applied system is represented by 7 groups and 23 indicators, which allow to present the planning aspect of the current urban planning structure with its impact on human capital, transport infrastructure, social cohesion, the state of the environment, etc. The work lets confirm the influence of the selected indicators on the development of SKOLKOVO (Russia) and use the obtained data for the rating of “Smart Cities” adapted for Russia. The materials of the article can be extremely useful in the designing of concepts for the development of territories focused on the use of smart solutions in order to minimize costs in the implementation of new solutions

Anti-erosion protection for recreational and sports facilities

    No full text
Development of natural lands for recreational purposes generates an increasing human impact. The monitoring results show development of slope erosion processes on the surface of slopes, which can generate gullies and landslides, impeding a sustainable land development and requiring additional operational costs at recreational and sports facilities. The article contains the basic results of a theoretical and experimental research and the monitoring data, which will allow us to justify the design of anti-erosion protection at recreational and sports facilities. The research has shown the efficiency of the use of geocomposite systems represented by a combination of structural elements and a biotic constituent. The efficiency of such approach is proven by the geotechnical monitoring data on specific facilities situated in Moscow Region

Engineering-seismometric monitoring of urban territories with railway transport

    No full text
The paper addresses the geotechnical monitoring of the railway ground bed using seismometric monitoring of vibrations caused by the passage of trains, which makes it possible to detect changes in soils at the depth of several meters at an early stage. The identification of processes, which are hazardous for urban territories with a railway network, is important for safety in cities
