The aim of this paper is to examine service quality of zakat institutions in Malaysia using an enhanced model appropriate for zakat institution. We use a new and enhanced model (combination of SERVQUAL and CARTER) to examine the extent of service quality of zakat institutions from the perspective of zakat stakeholders.Data were collected from 799 respondents including both zakat payers and zakat recipients. The paper utilizes the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in examining the extent of service quality given by zakat institution and further develops Service Quality Index (SQI) for both Zakat Payers and Zakat Recipients using a Customer Satisfaction Index. The results reveal that Responsiveness & Compliance was found to be the strongest indicator to influence satisfaction of the zakat payers while Reliability was found to be the strongest indicator to influence satisfaction of the zakat recipients. The SQI for zakat payers and zakat recipients of Malaysian zakat institutions are 76.3 and 76.4 respectively. This study is one of the first to examine the service quality of zakat institutions using an extended SERVQUAL and CARTER models with both zakat payers and zakat recipients as respondents. The model is not only relevant and applicable to Malaysia but also to other Muslim countries

The purpose of this study is to identify the multiple intelligence of students at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Perak and Melaka Campuses. Two faculties are involved in this study which are Business Management (FPP) and Computer & Mathematical Sciences (FSKM). 81 FPP students and 43 FSKM students were respondents of this study which employed the multiple intelligences test identified by Howard Gardner. The survey consisted of nine intelligence areas which are linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic and existential. The surveys were conducted online throughout the semester. Descriptive analysis via frequency was performed using horizontal bar-chart to describe the data collected. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used in the data analysis process to test the differences on multiple intelligences between the two faculties. Overall, FPP scores were higher than FSKM in all multiple intelligences. This research is supported by previous research done by Salehi and Germai (2012). Traditionally, Social Science students would typically be perceived to have more Linguistics Intelligence while Science Technology students would be perceived to have more Mathematical Intelligence. The findings can be used by educators to translate it into approaches in learning strategies and to incorporate it into the curriculum

Data were collected from 799 respondents amongst zakat payers and recipients. The paper utilizes the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in examining the impact of service quality towards satisfactions. The result show that Responsiveness & Compliance are the strongest indicators influencing the satisfaction of the payers while Reliability is the strongest indicator influencing the satisfactions of the zakat recipients. The result of this study will be useful for zakat authority responsible for ensuring service delivery by the institutions

This paper aims to share the findings of outcome-based education (OBE) analysis done on Human Resource Development (HRM549) course from the Faculty of Business Management that was conducted in one of the public universities. Generally, the curriculum documentation of an academic program includes written program educational objectives (PEOs) at the program level together with the course information for all courses in the program. Course information is a document that provides the details of the course outcomes, teaching methodology, assessment, details of students learning time (SLT), program outcomes-course outcomes (POs-COs) matrix, taxonomy and soft skills matrix that serve as an official guideline to a lecturer to conduct the course, deliver the learning activities and assessment of the students. This OBE course analysis was done as a part of an assignment for the Certificate of Education program conducted by Institute of Leadership and Quality Management (ILQAM) in 2014. Findings of the analysis on this HRM549 course showed that there were several items were not mapped to the course learning outcomes. Henceforth, it was recommended that the lecturer should identify the key important elements in the course analysis that will guide them to map the course learning outcomes with program educational objectives. In conclusion, doing OBE course analysis provides an insight of how the curriculum of a course is being designed (or formulated) using OBE approach

The purpose of this paper is to review the application and the development of blended learning from the student perspective. Blended learning combines both the classroom and technology to engage learners in meaningful learning experiences, has led to new teaching models and learning styles that embraces the latest technology. As the number of the student intake are growing, it is important to the university to identify the level of saticfaction on Blended learning. The paper use quantitative research methodology to answer the three research questions of this study. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Data collected was sorted, classified, coded and tabulated for an ease of analysis by using student statistical package SPSS 20.The result shows only two variable are significant to the blended learning. The conclusion shows the topic on blended learning was good because in the developmental stage and it needs effective improvement from the organization in terms of infrastructure and training of instructors and learners with efficient skills in teaching and learning online

This paper describes the comparison of multiple intelligence indexes between science technology students and social science students at Universiti Teknologi MARA. The multiple intelligence indexes were based on Howard Gardner's MI Model and Walter Mackenzie's Questionnaires. It was found that science social students attained higher MI index as compared to science technology students. The multiple intelligence profiling represents a significant departure from the traditional view of intelligence between these two groups. It is hoped that the indexes could offer a key consideration to match the learning strategies approaches by giving some insights about students' strength and weakness

Technology and its continuous advancement facilitate human beings to get rid of their criticality and limitation. Applied artificial intelligence (AAI) is one of the latest forms that delimited the limitation of human beings. Smartwatch acts as an applied artificial intelligence to assist various patients to check medical care without going to hospital and physicians. This (three) multiple-study research focused on the intention to use, purchase, and their satisfaction and spread positive word of mouth among others in the Ghanaian. To investigate these issues two renowned theories were underpinned- TAM theory and the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S–O-R). Total 550, 320, and 170 respondents were interviewed with Google forms due to COVID-19 using social media. AI-enabled smartwatch considering Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Credibility (PC), Perceived Self-Efficacy (PSE), and Perceived Financial Cost (PFC) were significant on intention to adoption and adoption intention on actual purchase. The final study showed device quality, its service level, their usage experience, perceived value, and the extent to which the satisfied customers made positive word of mouth to their friends and family, colleagues and followers. This research is significant in understanding the usage of AI-enabled smartwatches as a device doctor or electronic doctor (e-doctor)
