Of air pollution compound, Particulate matter (PM) is known to have adverse health effects on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease. Also, several studies has been made about relationship between air pollution and cognitive decline, dementia. However, the actual impact of air pollution on Alzheimers disease (AD) in Korea has not been studied yet. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the association with air pollution and the risk of newly diagnosed Alzheimers disease. Method: We used Elderly Cohort data and the study periods were from 1 January, 2008 to 31 December, 2015 in this study. The Elderly Cohort participants composed of 558,147 individuals aged over 60 years were included at the baseline in 2002. The first diagnosed date was defined as newly diagnosed AD and selected as our outcome of interest. We regarded the annual average concentration (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years) before event as exposure. Cox proportional hazard model was mainly implemented to investigate the association between air pollution and newly diagnosed AD. The effect of air pollution on the risk of newly diagnosed AD was estimated as the hazard ratio (HR) per 1 ใŽ/ใŽฅ increase in PM10(aerodynamic diameter equal to or less than 10ใŽ›) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Result: The increased risk of newly diagnosed AD in relation to average 1 year concentration of PM10 was 1.15(95% CI: 1.05, 1.27), and 1.14(1.03, 1.25), 1.16(1.05, 1.28), 1.20(1.09, 1.32), 1.19(1.08, 1.30) for each 2, 3, 4, 5 years. After adjusting regional variables additionally from model 1, the risk of newly diagnosed AD was increased from 1.15 to 1.29 (95% CI: 1.14, 1.46) for average 1 year concentration, and increased from 1.14 to 1.34(95% CI: 1.17, 1.53), 1.16 to 1.41(1.23, 1.62), 1.20 to 1.50(1.31, 1.73), 1.19 to 1.49(1.30 1.71) for each average 2, 3, 4, 5 years concentration change of PM10. Conclusion: Air pollution exposure increased the risk of newly diagnosed AD in the elderly in Korea.Chapter 1. Introduction 1 1.1 Background 1 1.2 Objectives 3 Chapter 2. In order to overcome its challenges, Time Out Magazine invested abroad through foreign direct investment and turned around its profits. Thus, as an empirical case study on Moon and Roehls (2001) imbalance theory, this paper illustrates how a media company invested abroad to complement its disadvantages. Also, it identifies success factors behind the FDI using first elements of ABCD model as suggested by Moon (2016): speed, learning, mixing and diligence. Also, it demonstrates the media companys new competitiveness acquired from the process using the second elements of ABCD model: precision, best practice, synergy and goal-orientation.INTRODUCTION ----------------------------------------------------- 1 LITERATURE REVIEW -------------------------------------------- 3 FDI THEORIES ------------------------------------------------------ 3 ABOUT TIME OUT GROUP -------------------------------------- 6 ABCD MODEL ANALYSIS -------------------------------------- 12 RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT --------------------------------------- 27 IMPLICATIONS ---------------------------------------------------- 28 CONCLUSION ------------------------------------------------------ 30 REFERENCES ------------------------------------------------------ 31 ๊ตญ๋ฌธ์ดˆ๋ก --------------------------------------------------------------- 34Maste

Nine beagle dogs (18 eyes) were used and randomly assigned to three groups of various dosage: 100, 500, and 1,000 ยตg. Aqueoucentesis was followed by an intravitreal injection of cidofovir. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured twice a week and electroretinography (ERG) and ophthalmoscopic examination were performed every week during the study. At the end of the study, all eyes were enucleated for histopathologic evaluation after euthanasia. The lowest IOP was observed 10 days after the injection in all groups. Irreversible reductions in IOP and reduced amplitudes of ERG recordings were identified in the eyes injected with higher dose groups than the 100 ยตg group. Histopathologic examination revealed that there were dose-related toxicities to the ciliary body and the retina. These results suggest that intravitreal cidofovir had dose-dependent IOP lowering effects associated with ciliary body destruction, but had the potential to cause retinal toxicity in beagle dogs.INTRODUCTIONโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข1 MATERIALS AND METHODSโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข3 1. [์˜๋ฌธ]The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument that could measure the social cognition of schizophrenia. The construction of this instrument was drawn from the extensive literary review of theoretical evidence of social cognition. The domains of social cognition were categorizedas follows; emotional characteristics and social cues. Emotional characteristics were broken into two factors; the arousal factor and the pleasantness factor. The social cues were divided into two factors; concrete cue and abstract cue.We chose 21 scenes describing the real interpersonal relationships from domestic TV dramas and movies, which represented the four drawn domains well. 252 items were developed from the scenes and 6 experts assessed our preliminary instrument for clinical validity. The preliminary instrument was then revised to eighteen scenes and 214 items; after which, the instrument passed through a standardization process by being applied to 76 normal controls. 12 scenes and 144 items were selected after this stage. After item analysis for the results from 196 schizophrenics in twice, Finally, our instrument was to be composed of 8 scenes and 80 items. The verification of test-retest reliability resulted in r=0.523 (p<0.01) and the internal consistency Cronbach''s ฮฑ was 0.89. These figures supported the consistent reliability of our instrument. The significant correlation between the scores of each domain and the total score proved the construct validity of our instrument. The developed instrument showed positive correlations with Nurse''s Observation Scale for in-patient evaluation(r=0.346, p<0.01). The results also support the validity of our instrument. The concrete cue scores and the abstract cue scores in schizophrenia showed a statistically significant difference(t=6.880, p<0.000). There was also a significant difference (t=-12.344, p<0.001) between the controls. Because the scores of social cognition in the schizophrenia proved the discriminating power of our instrument; and as a result, our instrument can distinguish the ability difference between the normal and the schizophrenic''s partiality,In conclusion, our instrument demonstrated consistent reliability and validity; hence, we believe our instrument will contribute to the social cognitive research of schizophrenia and the development of nursing intervention with schizophrenic patients in the future.ope
