In particular, the Chinese students become a large part of them. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Chinese students social emotional competence on the college life adaptation in Korea. For this we conducted a survey on 205 students of four universities in a metropolitan city, Korea. This survey consisted of two parts: The Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form (TELQue-SF) and The Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ). Correlation and regression analysis were conducted. The findings are as follows: First, results showed that there was a positive correlation between Chinese students social emotional competence and the college life adaptation in Korea. Second, the Well-being and Self-awareness have influence on the college life adaptation. Third, the Self-management and the Well-being have an impact on the Academic Adjustment. Fourth, the Well being and Relationship management have an impact on the Social Adjustment. Fifth, the Self-awareness and the Social-awareness have an impact on the Personal-Adjustment. Sixth, the Well being and the Self-awareness and Self-management have an impact on the University-satisfaction. Therefore in order to boost the better development of Chinese students college life. The social emotional competence related programs need to be provided
