Study on the Supported Nickel-based Catalysts and Kinetics for Aromatics Hydrogenation

The Tengchong Migrants in Burma before World War Ⅱ:An Empirical Study on the Republican Archival Record

本文以云南省档案馆92-2-97号民国档案为中心,结合口述历史笔记及相关文献资料,对二战前赴缅腾冲人的人口学特征、职业特点、文化认同进行了分析,得出结论,二战前腾冲人赴缅多系“少小离家“,宗亲、乡亲网络促进了其外迁行为;二战前夕,缅甸腾冲人多贩卖杂货谋生,其商号规模相对有限,但仍具备较强经济实力;旅居缅甸时间越久,腾冲人家庭涵化于当地社会的程度越深,即便如此,缅甸腾冲人群体仍保有一定文化异质性。Many Tengchong residents emigrated to Burma prior to World War Ⅱ.Based on a piece of Republican archival record numbered 92-2-97 kept in the Yunnan Provincial Archives and relevant oral history records and local gazetteers,this article examines the demographical characteristics,occupational features and cultural identity of Tengchong migrants who moved to Burma before the Second World War.The author concludes by emphasizing that most of the Tengchong migrants were quite young when emigrating to Burma,and such an emigration was facilitated by the networks of clansmen and fellow villagers.Majority of Tengchong migrants were grocery retailers.They were economically influential in local host society though their businesses were relatively small in size.The longer they settled down in Burma,the deeper they would be acculturated into local society.Nevertheless,to some extent the Tengchong migrant group persistently maintained their cultural heterogeneity
