Body image mean is the picture of our bodies and formed throught our thoughts. Althought people don’t have a clear picture of body image, but they alrady have a shadows to used in body shaping and behaviour. It means that body image is already in their thinked. This study aims to examine how the communications process that occurs between girls with their mothers. The type of research is qualitative with qualitative content analysis approach. Informant were determined using the snowball sampling technique. Reaserchers of 3 pairs of mother and daughter. Technique of collecting data of this research use in-depth interview technique to get deep data. In addition to the interview also uses documentation. Data analysis use qualitative content analysis techniques and data validity using member check techniques. The result of this research are several proceses: 1). Early communications between girls with their mother. Girls express their concern about her body image to their mother; 2). Giving support frome mothers to thire daughters. Mothers provide support in the form of motivational words and constructive suggestions to their children; 3). Determination 2 of the rules of provide rules to girls. Mothers provide rules to girls how girls should look, rules are adapted to norms of decency and religion; 4). The formatin of beautiful concept. The beautiful concept is formed based on the urgent communication between the girls and their mothers. Educations in family spahre becomes one of the factors that can influence a child’s view of body image. Mothers can serves as models that can be imitate and follow by their doughter. The doughter perspective about positive and negative body image is depends on how education provide within family

Representasi Tubuh Perempuan dalam Film Imperfect

The film “Imperfect” (2019) is an Indonesian film that tells the story of the pressure in women's lives related to their body shape. The female body that is not in accordance with the developed standards will get pressure to adjust the existing standards.The purpose of this study is to determine the contents of the film and how the film represents women's bodies. This research uses descriptive qualitative research and analysis technique in this research is by using content analysis. The unit of analysis in this research is in the form of dialogue and pictures in the film. Samples studied were every scene in the film that involved the main character. The results of this study indicate that the film "Imperfect" shows the body of a woman who is regulated by the environment, thus posing a challenge to reach the standard that has been previously formed. Women who have attractive appearance are considered as someone who deserves to be in the public sphere to represent an institution. However, women who have the opposite appearance are presented as unworthy and unfit to be in the public sphere or to be the face of an institution

Analisis Framing Majalah Daring Magdalene.Co Mengenai Kekerasan Perempuan

Nowadays, it can be calculated that cases of violence that occur in Indonesia are increasing every year. As a consequence, it becomes the subject of mass media coverage in Indonesia. However, most of the mass media often publish the news disproportionately and women are frequently marginalized in the reporting. This phenomenon has made one party look bad or negative in the existing reality. This research aims to discuss the framing analysis related to violence against women in Magdalene.co Online Magazine from February to September 2019 edition. This research uses Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model with qualitative research method. Nine articles on social and political rubric contained in Magdalene.co indicate that Magdalene.com has created four categories in framing the news namely Problem Identification, Casual Interpretation, Moral Evaluation, and Treatment Recommendation. Problem Identification defines that violence against women is a problem that arises as a result of weak legal protection. According to Casual Interpretation, Magdalene.co sees the problem is caused by many factors. One of them is the protection of female victims of violence when they often experience confusion. According to Moral Evaluation, Magdalene.co tries to write down moral choices in this case that the protection of female victims is not yet firm. The last is Treatment Recommendation. According to it, Magdalene.co strengthens the protection for victims of violence and the issue of violence against women is considered a serious problem

REPRESENTASI FEMINITAS MELALUI KARAKTER UTAMA SA GEUM-RAN DALAM SERIAL DRAMA BIRTH OF A BEAUTY

The development of Hallayu which spreads to the products of the South Korean entertainment industry is increasing in various countries. One of the products of the entertainment industry that is favored by the wider community is Korean drama. Birth of Beauty is one of the Korean dramas that presents a Confucian tradition and a strong patriarchal system. So that the practice of femininity in women is highlighted in the main character Sa Geum-ran. The purpose of this research is to know how the representation of femininity through the main character Sa Geum-ran in the drama series Birth of a beauty. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to explain the images and dialogues obtained. The data source of this research is the drama Birth of a Beauty which is obtained and downloaded through the Viu application. The population of this study were all 21 episodes of scenes using purposive sampling technique related to femininity of the main character Sa Geum-ran through visual and textual. Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting and concluding from the data found. The findings obtained in this study identified the existence of femininity practices characterized by discipline on body shape. The role and appearance of women to achieve the ideal body in accordance with prevailing norms

Pengaruh Keterbukaan Diri Anak Kepada Orang Tua dan Gaya Mendidik Orang Tua Terhadap Kenakalan Anak di Sekolah Pada Siswa Kelas X SMAN 2 Karanganyar

Peran orang tua sangat penting dalam memantau perkembangan anak di rumah maupun di sekolah sehingga dapat mencegah tindak kenakalan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua dan gaya mendidik orang tua dengan kenakalan anak di sekolah. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar yang berjumlah 178 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian dari siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar sebanyak 64 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Random Samping, yaitu pengambilan secara acak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Uji instrumen penelitian menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Ada korelasi positif antara keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua dengan penurunan tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Semakin tinggi keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua, maka semakin rendah tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah. Sebaliknya semakin rendah keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua, maka semakin tinggi tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah; 2) Ada korelasi positif antara gaya mendidik orang tua dengan penurunan tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Semakin baik gaya mendidik orang tua, maka semakin rendah tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah. Sebaliknya semakin kurang baik gaya mendidik orang tua, maka semakin tinggi tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah; 3) Ada korelasi positif antara keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua dan gaya mendidik orang tua dengan penurunan tingkat kenakalan anak pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Semakin tinggi keterbukaan diri anak kepada orang tua dan semakin baik gaya mendidik orang tua, maka semakin rendah tingkat kenakalan anak di sekolah

Case of Domestic Violance in Indonesia still be an interesting phenomena to be discussed. As A mirror of situatipn social life, media often to shows the impressions that tell abaut daily live. Film Television (FTV) is one the product of the mass media that they are often showing of domestic violence scanes. That is consist of negative educations. The porpuse of this research is to calculate culate the frequency of trend domestic violence scane. That used the sistem of camera, and the comparison between the perpetrator with the victim in the conduct of domestic violence in Indoisar Cinemas period on May 27 to June 2, 2014. Use the content analyze method, dismethod technique is to difine the content of real communications in objective, systematic, and kuantitatif. The result is the scane of domestic violence is which often arises is psychological violence amounted 85.1% or as much as 97 variables. In this case, the most frequent of violence arises is a growl or snarl that is equal to 31.6% . In broadcast, the use of camera system most frequently arises is a Close Up, amounting to 34.2% or as much as 39 variables

Poligami dalam Film (Resepsi Audience Terhadap Alasan Poligami dalam Film Indonesia Tahun 2006-2009)

Film Berbagi Suami (2006), Ayat-Ayat Cinta (2008) dan Perempuan Berkalung Sorban (2009) merupakan tiga film Indonesia yang menceritakan kehidupan poligami dengan alasan yang berbeda-beda. Ketiga film ini menceritakan bagaimana perempuan dan laki-laki memutuskan poligami karena alasan-alasan tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana resepsi audience terhadap alasan poligami dalam ketiga film Indonesia tahun 2006-2009. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis resepsi. Analisis resepsi merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk mengkaji khalayak. Metode ini membandingkan antara wacana apa yang muncul di media dan di khalayak. Sehingga interpretasinya merujuk pada konteks kultural yang dimiliki khalayak dengan latar belakang yang berbeda-beda seperti agama, tingkat pendidikan dan status sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga informan dengan afiliasi agama Islam berada dalam posisi pembacaan dominant- hegemonic. Sedangkan tiga informan berlatar belakang agama Katolik pada posisi Oppositional. Meskipun keenam penonton berada pada posisi dominant- hegemonic dan Oppositional, namun di beberapa adegan juga ada informan yang berada pada posisi Negotiated

Analisis Isi Kecenderungan Agenda Media Pemberitaan Jokowi Sebagai Calon Pemimpin Autentik di Harian Umum Solopos Edisi 10 Mei-8 Juli 2014

Media massa memiliki kemampuan untuk menyeleksi peristiwa-peristiwa yang dianggap penting dan kemudian akan ditonjolkan dengan cara memberitakannya secara terus-menerus sehingga dapat mengarahkan pemikiran atau pendapat publik. Hal inilah yang disebut dengan agenda media yang merupakan bagian dari agenda setting. Salah satunya adalah pemberitaan tentang Jokowi yang mencalonkan diri sebagai presiden di pemilu 2014. Untuk menganalisisnya digunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, karena ingin mempelajari gambaran isi dan karakter pesan dari media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kecenderungan agenda media terhadap pemberitaan Jokowi sebagai calon pemimpin autentik di harian umum Solopos edisi 10 Mei–8 Juli 2014. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator “kesadaran diri pemimpin” paling banyak muncul dengan jumlah 119 kalimat (42,81%), terutama dari aspek kognisi (76 kalimat). Kemudian disusul indikator “kinerja” dengan jumlah 55 kalimat (19,77%), “kesadaran diri pengikut” dengan jumlah 49 kalimat (17,63%), “proses perilaku kepemimpinan” dengan jumlah 24 kalimat (8,63%), “perspektif moral positif’ dengan jumlah 14 kalimat (5,04%), “kapital psikologi positif” dengan jumlah 11 kalimat (3,96%), “perkembangan pengikut” berjumlah 4 kalimat (1,44%), dan yang terakhir “pengaturan diri sendiri pemimpin” dengan jumlah 2 kalimat (0,72%)

Aktivitas Menonton Televisi Sebagai Aktivitas Sosial Di Antara Penghuni Kos

Television-viewing is a complex media which influences human´s habits in everyday life. This research is aimed at understanding, how television-viewing habits can create social interactions within the comunity of a dormitory, and how it shapes intimacy through the activity of watching television together at. Content analysis method was used, through text collecting which consists cultural aspect by observing the case and doing an interview. Samples were collected by using purposive sampling method and iangulation as data validation. The research has shown that through watching television together, people can easily create interpersonal relations, however the viewers may be distracted by another activities, such as multitasking while in between. This research could be used as a further reference for research about television-viewing habits in the future

Peran Roleplayer dalam Membentuk Identitas Virtual di Sosial Media Line

This study aims to find out how roleplayers form a virtual identity and how they can portray these characters on social media by covering up their real identities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with descriptive analysis. The sample selection technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 3 roleplayers as informants in this study. The technique of collecting data is by using interview techniques with roleplayer players and documentation by doing screenshots of roleplay player accounts and their activities. The validity of the data using data triangulation analysis. This research was conducted on the social media Line, which is a place for Roleplayer players to use in doing roleplaying activities. The result of this research is that roleplayers form their virtual identities by borrowing faces, occupations, backgrounds and birthdays to form their new identities in the world of roleplaying
