    Get PDF
This survey paper provides a performance evaluation of cell selection technique s proposed for Pico cells in the Long Term Evolution - Advance d (LTE - A) networks. Pico cell is the focus of this study because i t can be deployed in areas with high volume of traffic so as to improve the system capacity. Cell selection which plays a important role in improving cell spectrum efficiency especially in heterogeneous systems is the process that allows the user equipments ( USEd) t o select a suitable cell in order to access available services. This paper analysis the new interference environment and the limitations of traditional cell selection method which caused by low power nodes, and propose anew cell selectio n strategy to resolve these problems in order to improve efficiency in L TE - A heterogeneous systems

Efficient procedure with new fused pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives as potent antimicrobial agents

    Get PDF
502-508A four-step preparation of compounds containing a pyrimidine moiety is presented. This synthesis involves especially a Vilsmeier–Haack reaction and the synthesized compounds screened for their antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, as well as for antifungal activities. Structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by their FTIR, 1H NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis data. Some of the newly synthesized compounds show excellent antimicrobial activity and appear to be the most proficient members of the series

An Approach to Devise Towards Developing Monitoring System for An Organization Level Security in FORCE.COM Platform

Today, Business is of all sizes across all industries, even though they are regulated most are stored in Salesforce. These data’s may be accessed by thousands of Salesforce employee, chances that company data get misused. Previously salesforce user monitoring was impossible. So, by creating an object and saving all users data at one place and plotting those data on map in order to get location. The objective of the research work is to maintain authentication, validation and access control of users who have log into salesforce org. As a result the saved data will be available to Salesforce org Admin and it will be helpful for Admin to take action against the Users like Blocking and warning him by Email Alert

Imbibition in Double Phase Flow Through Porous Media

Objective: To develop and validate robust, accurate and precise UV spectrophotometric method for determination of Ketorolac Tromethamine and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride. Methods: Ratio spectra derivative method was developed using water as solvent. The developed method was validated as per International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines. Results: Linearity of the developed method was 0.9958 and 0.9987 in the range of 4-20 ppm and 12-60 ppm for Ketorolac Tromethamine and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride respectively. % Relative standard deviation (RSD) was found to be less than 2 for Intraday precision and Intermediate precision. % recovery was found to be 98.5–100.27 % and 98.38–101.99 % for Ketorolac Tromethamine and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride respectively. Conclusion: A robust, accurate and precise UV spectrophotometric method was developed and validated as per ICH guidelines.Â

A NOVEL REVERSE-PHASE HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF ALOE-EMODIN AND PIPERINE IN AYURVEDIC FORMULATION

    Get PDF
Objective: The objective of this study was to develop and validate a novel, simple, rapid, accurate, and precise reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method for simultaneous estimation of aloe-emodin and piperine in the ayurvedic formulation as per the International Conference on Harmonization guidelines. Methods: Chromatographic separation was achieved using a Prontosil C18 (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 μ), with a mobile phase consisting of 0.05% orthophosphoric acid and acetonitrile in the ratio of 50:50, at a flow rate of 1 ml/min and column temperature maintained at 28°C and ultraviolet (UV) detection at 225 nm. Results: The retention time of aloe-emodin and piperine was found to be 9.38±0.2 min and 13.45±0.2 min, respectively. The linearity of aloe-emodin and piperine was tested in the range of 1–20 μg/ml. The correlation coefficient for aloe-emodin and piperine was found to be 0.998 and 0.997, respectively. The recovery values (98–102%) indicate a satisfactory accuracy. The percentage relative standard deviation for precision was found to be <2% which indicates that the method is precise. Conclusion: A precise method for the simultaneous quantification of aloe-emodin and piperine was developed using high-performance liquid chromatography. Hence, the developed method can be used for quantitative and quality control analysis of formulations containing these phytoconstituents

Breeding of Climbing Perch (Anabas testudineus Bloch, 1792) Induced with Ovatide

    Get PDF
Climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) is a much demanded fish in the northeastern part of India, yet the absence of a standardized method to induce breeding remains a major constraint in the development of aquaculture of this species. In this study, breeding was induced using 0.1, 0.2, or 0.3 ml/kg body weight of the synthetic hormone Ovatide and compared with fish injected with 30 mg carp pituitary extract (CPE) per kg body weight or 0.5 ml saline (control). Male and female brooders were injected once with an identical dose and left to spawn in tubs at a ratio of 2:1. No breeding occurred in the saline-injected control fish. There was partial spawning in the 0.1 and 0.2 Ovatide treatments and complete spawning in fish injected with 0.3 Ovatide. Spawning and number of eggs in fish injected with 0.3 Ovatide did not statistically differ from results in fish injected with CPE (p≥0.05). The present experiment suggests that Ovatide at 0.3 ml/kg body weight is optimal for seed production of climbing perch held in captivity and can be used for species restoration

Laboratory Model Tests on Stone Column and Pervious Concrete Columns: A Comparative Study

    Get PDF
This study aims to perform laboratory model tests to investigate the load-deformation behavior of stone columns (SCs), pervious concrete columns (PCCs), and composite columns (CCs). Here, CC refers to the column which has the upper portion made of PCC and the lower portion made of SC. The parameters investigated in this study include column diameters, column lengths, and installation methods (pre-cast and cast-in-situ methods). The results of the model tests reveal that the axial load-carrying capacity of PCC is nearly 8 times more than that of SC with the same diameter. Moreover, it is also observed that at the top portion of SC, with the PCC length which is about 3.75 to 5 times the column diameter, the load-carrying capacity can significantly increase. It is concluded that the installation methods have marginal influence on the load-deformation behavior of PCC

Enhanced recovery protocols in total hip and knee arthroplasty: what are the recent trends

    Get PDF
Perioperative management of hip and knee arthroplasty patients has evolved significantly over the past few years, almost hand in hand with the advancement of the surgical technique itself. The notion of enhanced recovery protocol is rapidly being accepted by various establishments to reduce the hospital stay and perioperative morbidity. It consists of application of aggressive perioperative interventions aiming for a speedy recovery with least complications, while maintaining good patient care. We reviewed various published articles to understand the importance of each of these interventions. Components that showed improvement in the outcomes were patient education and counselling, pre-operative supplementation to improve wound healing and reduce length of hospital stay. Intra-operative use tranexamic acid and avoidance of drains reduce operative blood loss and subsequent transfusion. Multimodal analgesia, early mobilization with pharmacological and mechanical prophylaxis to reduce venous thromboembolism showed a positive correlation with rapid recovery
