Composition of Permutation Representations of Triangle Groups

    Get PDF
A triangle group is denoted by Δ(p,q,r)\Delta(p,q,r) and has finite presentation Δ(p,q,r)=x,yxp=yq=(xy)r=1. \Delta(p,q,r)=\langle x,y | x^p=y^q=(xy)^r=1 \rangle . We examine a method for composition of permutation representations of a triangle group Δ(p,q,r)\Delta(p,q,r) that was used in Everitt's proof of Higman's 1968 conjecture that every Fuchsian group has amongst its homomorphic images all but finitely many alternating groups. We see that some of these compositions must give imprimitive representations, and in particular situations, where the representations being composed are all equivalent copies of an alternating group in the same degree, we can give a complete description of the structure of the composition of the representations. Structural Polymorphism in Tau Filaments: An Implication for Neurodegenerative Diseases

    Get PDF
Tau filaments are the pathological hallmark of \u3e20 neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer\u27s disease, Pick\u27s disease, and progressive supranuclear palsy. In the adult human brain, six isoforms of tau are expressed that differ by presence or absence of the second of the four semiconserved repeats. As a consequence, half of the tau isoforms have three repeats (3R tau), whereas the other half has four repeats (4R tau). Site-directed spin labeling of recombinant tau in conjunction with electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to obtain structural insights into tau filaments. The studies showed that the filaments of 4R tau and 3R tau share a highly ordered core structure in the third repeat with parallel, in-register arrangement of beta-strands. This structure in 3R and 4R is conserved regardless of whether full-length isoforms (htau40 and htau23) or truncated constructs (K18 and K19) are used. When mixed, 3R tau and 4R tau coassembled into heterogeneous filaments. Hence, these findings indicate that there are at least three compositionally distinct types of filaments: homogeneous 3R tau, homogeneous 4R tau, and heterogeneous 3R/4R tau. In vitro experiments show that the seeded filament growth, a prerequisite for tau spreading in tissue culture and brain, is crucially dependent on the isoform composition of individual seeds. Seeds of 3R tau and 3R/4R tau recruit both types of isoforms whereas seeds of 4R tau can recruit 4R tau, but not 3R tau, establishing an asymmetric barrier. Conformational templating of 4R tau onto 3R tau seeds eliminates this barrier, giving rise to a new type of tau filament. Conformational studies at the molecular level of tau filaments were done using Double electron-electron resonance spectroscopy, which allows the determination of distances between pairs of spin labels. These studies revealed structural differences between filaments of 3R tau and 4R tau. Furthermore, they indicated that 4R tau assumed the conformation of 3R tau when templated on 3R tau seeds. Our measurements have also provided insights into the heterogeneity of tau filament structure. Conformational differences due to variation in filament composition and seeding properties of tau filaments have shown that they are structurally polymorphic in nature. This structural polymorphism of tau filaments has widespread implications in understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases

The commitment of employees is an integral component of corporate survival. Studies have found that determination has a significant influence on the effective overall performance of a company. An overly optimistic worker may consider that the company's dreams and ideals may have a more powerful option to belong to the employer and show more commitment to the organization. If human assets are said to be the most outstanding property of an organization, dedicated human assets should function as an entity's strategic advantage. The commitment of workers complements overall process efficiency. Motivation, motivating employees to expend time and electricity leading to the major corporation's performance, is a crucial indicator of this dedication. Because of this reality, the relationship between encouragement and commitment is a growing hobby in knowledge. Several studies carried out on inspiration and dedication; however, studies on relations between distinct motivation and remarkable commitment focus are hardly investigated-factor evaluation, SEM, which means structural equation modeling techniques used for knowledge assessment. The impacts have demonstrated that all extrinsic components have significant and widespread employee influences. This looks at the correct amount of knowledge on the importance of extrinsic influences in enhancing employee involvement within Bangladesh's non-public commercial banks. This study is typically descriptive in nature that has been analyses through different componential data of the Chinse and U.S.A economy about the bilateral trade issues. The objective of the paper is to analyze and find the friction areas of Chinese and USA trade and implications. U.S.A-China change friction is dampening the Chinese financial system, particularly through a decline in the call for. Over the medium to a long time, the alternate row should depress China's capability economic growth price via supply-aspect elements., the united states are strengthening regulations on acquisitions of U.S. excessive-tech companies by means of Chinese businesses. This, mixed with strengthened capital manage in China, has brought about a steep decline in Chinese direct investments inside America, from 46 billion bucks in 2016 to 29 billion dollars in 2017 and to 4.8 billion dollars in appearing time will make it more and more tough for China to acquire technology and others from the U.S.A. China and America have discovered bilateral treaties and multilateral regulations which includes the WTO guidelines,  economic and trade family members have grown deeper and wider. comparative strengths and the picks of the market, the two international locations have constructed up a jointly useful courting proposing structural synergy and convergence of interests., a few stages of change friction are handiest herbal. the key, however, lies in a way to beautify mutual trust, promote cooperation, and manage variations. principle of resolving disputes thru talk and session, and answering U.S issues with the best stage of staying power and true religion. It has triumphed over many problems and made giant efforts to stabilize China-US economic and change family members via preserving rounds of discussions with the facet of the united states and providing sensible solutions. however, the USA aspect has been contradicting itself and constantly hard in China. As a result, change and economic friction among the two aspects has escalated quick over a short period of time, causing critical damage to the economic and alternate family members that have developed over time thru the collective work of the two  governments and the two peoples, and posing a grave risk to the multilateral buying and selling system and the principle of unfastened trade and economics. Balancing soft error coverage with lifetime reliability in redundantly multithreaded processors

    Get PDF
Silicon reliability is a key challenge facing the microprocessor industry. Processors need to be designed such that they are resilient against both soft errors and lifetime reliability phenomena. However, techniques developed to address one class of reliability problems may impact other aspects of silicon reliability. In this paper, we show that Redundant Multi-Threading (RMT), which provides soft error protection, exacerbates lifetime reliability. We then explore two different architectural approaches to tackle this problem, namely, Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS) and partial RMT. We show that each approach has certain strengths and weaknesses with respect to performance, soft error coverage, and lifetime reliability. We then propose and evaluate a hybrid approach that combines DVS and partial RMT. We show that this approach provides better improvement in lifetime reliability than DVS or partial RMT alone, buys back a significant amount of performance that is lost due to DVS, and provides nearly complete soft error coverage. Refugees have become one of the most debatable issue in this decade. Worldwide 22.5 million are count as refugees, where 84% were from developing countries. In 2017 near 1 million rohingya refugees have crossed the Myanmar border to save from crime against humanity. Different dimensions of refugee crisis now being studied by scholar on their victimization and needs. In international basis refugees creating major threat issue as terrorism, violent crime to petty crimes. This study has focused on exploring possible security threats that been created by the rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Integrated Threat Theory (ITT) has been used from the criminological perspective to explain threat. Purely quantitative method used and primary data has been collected from local residents in Cox’s Bazar where refugees present. The main objective was to find the prevalence of threat within those areas. This study has tried to explore the different forms of security threat like threat to life and property, police secrecy, hostile & violent environment, crime involvement and residents victimized by rohingyas. Different types of crime threat as violent, petty, public order, drugs & arms and border security have been studied and compared crime of rohingya refugees with general police data. Additionally, association found in some socio demographic characteristics e.g. gender, place of living, religion, education with threat. Police capabilities to prevent crime related refugees has also linked. Finally, some recommendations are drawn from public and academic perspective. Small Industries are more vulnerable ones as it dealt a body blow because of Covid-19 and the resultant lockdown. It is difficult for them to survive without assistance. This is because, they are unable to cope up with the difficulties that are forced on them as their survival is difficult even in normal times but now they are dealing with something so unexpected. The significance of MSMEs sector in boosting Indian economy cannot be ignored. Unless we strengthen the MSME sector, it is very little that the economy will have to look forward to. They are reaching out to the government asking the rescue. The lockdown due to COVID-19 has brought MSME sector to its knees by halting the business which dried up the revenue. COVID-19 is of the giant disasters in the history which is devastatingly impacting on the global economy. It has taken the whole world into its grip, resulting tough times to global economy and people’s life. As India is a developing country, the lockdown majorly affected the manufacturing activities and the supply chain, because of the shutdown of airports and seaports and restrictions on imports and exports. This paper aims at studying the Impact of COVID-19 on Indian economy, especially on Indian MSMEs which are the life blood of Indian Economy and revival strategies for the impacted MSMEs
