In the above mentioned letter by Wang et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett, 95, 247002 (2005)], magnetization measurements on two Bi_2Sr_2caCu_2O_8+delta samples are reported. They claim that these experimental results support the vortex scenario for the loss of phase coherence at Tc. On the contrary, we show in this comment that they can be explained by means of the Ginzburg Landau theory (under a total-enery cutoff) for the superconducting fluctuations above Tc.Comment: Final versio

Cholesterol modulates acetylcholine receptor diffusion by tuning confinement sojourns and nanocluster stability

Translational motion of neurotransmitter receptors is key for determining receptor number at the synapse and hence, synaptic efficacy. We combine live-cell STORM superresolution microscopy of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) with single-particle tracking, mean-squared displacement (MSD), turning angle, ergodicity, and clustering analyses to characterize the lateral motion of individual molecules and their collective behaviour. nAChR diffusion is highly heterogeneous: subdiffusive, Brownian and, less frequently, superdiffusive. At the single-track level, free walks are transiently interrupted by ms-long confinement sojourns occurring in nanodomains of ~36 nm radius. Cholesterol modulates the time and the area spent in confinement. Turning angle analysis reveals anticorrelated steps with time-lag dependence, in good agreement with the permeable fence model. At the ensemble level, nanocluster assembly occurs in second-long bursts separated by periods of cluster disassembly. Thus, millisecond-long confinement sojourns and second-long reversible nanoclustering with similar cholesterol sensitivities affect all trajectories; the proportion of the two regimes determines the resulting macroscopic motional mode and breadth of heterogeneity in the ensemble population.Fil: Mosqueira, Alejo. Fluctuation diamagnetism around the superconducting transition in a cuprate crystal with a reduced Meissner fraction

The magnetization around the superconducting transition was measured in a Tl$_{0.5}$Pb$_{0.5}$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_7$ crystal affected by a considerable reduction ($\sim$55%) of its effective superconducting volume fraction but still with a relatively sharp low-field Meissner transition, a behaviour that may be attributed to the presence of structural inhomogeneities. By taking into account these inhomogeneities just through the Meissner fraction, the observed diamagnetism may still be explained, consistently above and below the superconducting transition, in terms of the conventional Ginzburg-Landau approach with fluctuations of Cooper pairs and vortices.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

Forgiving seventy times seven: formation and transformation processes of youth subjectivities in a Pentecostal church of Buenos Aires metropolitan area

Este trabajo presenta una aproximación a los procesos de conformación y transformación de subjetividades juveniles al interior de comunidades pentecostales. En particular, se vincularán, a través de una experiencia etnográfica, las dimensiones analíticas consideradas para el estudio de la subjetividad: habitus, sensibilidades (corporalidades, embodiment, emociones), procesos de socialización como prácticas rituales y relaciones sociales/intersubjetividad.Este artigo apresenta uma abordagem dos processos de formação e transformação das subjetividades de jovens em comunidades evangélicas pentecostais. Serão particularmente relacionadas, através de uma experiência etnográfica, as dimensões analíticas utilizadas para o estudo da subjetividade, habitus, sensibilidades (corpo, embodiment, emoções), processos de socialização como práticas rituais e relações sociais/intersubjetividade.This paper presents an approach to the processes of formation and transformation of youth subjectivities within Pentecostal-Evangelical communities. "La política requiere de leones, no de ovejas": Participación política en jóvenes cristiano-evangélicos

La propuesta de este trabajo será trazar algunas reflexiones en torno a la articulación de las categorías juventud(es), religión y política. Para abordar este objetivo, partiendo desde una perspectiva etnográfica, el artículo se centrará en el análisis de la participación política llevada a cabo por jóvenes cristiano-evangélicos al interior del espacio político “Valores para mi país”, liderado por Cynthia Hotton, diputada nacional (Propuesta Republicana) y ferviente evangélica. En especial, se abrirá una batería de interrogaciones, acerca del sentido, las trayectorias y los anclajes identitarios de los sujetos juveniles que participan al interior de dicho espacio político. Asimismo, se analizarán los discursos y representaciones acerca de la participación política y el rol de “la juventud”, emergentes desde el sector dirigencial de “Valores para mi país”, intentando visualizar las múltiples relaciones y dinámicas que se establecen entre la cúpula y la militancia juvenil. A partir de este estudio de caso, la presente comunicación intentará traer al debate la potencialidad de incorporar la dimensión religiosa a los estudios sobre la participación política y social de los/as jóvenes en las sociedades contemporáneas.Fil: Mosqueira, Mariela Analía. "About minors and consumers”: A socio-historical construction of youth(s) in Argentina

Mi propuesta en este artículo es trazar algunas líneas de análisis, acerca de la construcción histórica, social y cultural de la categoría juventud en la sociedad argentina. Para llevar a cabo dicho objetivo, en principio, sentaré las bases teóricas sobre las cuales desarrollaré el análisis, y luego realizaré un breve recorrido sobre las condiciones de emergencia de lo juvenil en las sociedades occidentales. En un tercer momento, sobre las coordenadas delineadas anteriormente, analizaré diversos trabajos historiográficos locales con la finalidad de realizar una aproximación al proceso de construcción de la categoría joven en la trayectoria argentina. Especialmente, haré foco en dos imágenes culturales del sujeto juvenil emergentes del escenario vernáculo: los sujetos menores y los sujetos consumidores.Minha proposta neste artigo é traçar algumas linhas de análise sobre a construção histórica, social e cultural da categoria “juventude” na sociedade Argentina. Em primeiro lugar, para atingir este objetivo, estabelecerei a base teórica sobre a qual desenvolverei a análise. Posteriormente, farei uma breve descrição das condições de emergência da juventude nas sociedades ocidentais. Em uma terceira fase, sobre as coordenadas descritas acima, analisarei as diversas pesquisas históricas, com a finalidade de abordar o processo de construção da categoria “juventude” na Argentina. Em especial, estudarei duas imagens culturais da juventude: os “sujeitos menores” e os “sujeitos consumidores.My proposal in this article is to trace some lines of analysis on the historical, social and cultural construction of the category “youth” in the Argentinean society. To achieve this goal, first, I will establish the theoretical basis on which the analysis will be developed and then, I will briefly review the conditions of the emergence of “youth” in western societies. In a third stage, after the theoretical development and analysis described above, I will review a variety of local historical research papers in order to establish an approximation of the construction process within the category “youth” in Argentina.
