    Precision radiative corrections to the Dalitz plot of baryon semileptonic decays including the spin-momentum correlation of the decaying baryon and the emitted charged lepton

    We calculate the radiative corrections to the angular correlation between the polarization of the decaying baryon and the direction of the emitted charged lepton in the semileptonic decays of spin one-half baryons to order (\alpha/\pi)(q/M_1). The final results are presented, first, with the triple integration of the bremsstrahlung photon ready to be performed numerically and, second, in an analytical form. A third presentation of our results in the form of numerical arrays of coefficients to be multiplied on the quadratic products of form factors is discussed. This latter may be the most practical one to use in Monte Carlo simulations. A series of crosschecks is performed. The results are useful in the analysis of the Dalitz plot of precision experiments involving light and heavy quarks and is not compromised to fixing the form factors at predetermined values. It is assumed that the real photons are kinematically discriminated. Otherwise, our results have a general model-independent applicability.Comment: 8 pages, RevTex4, 5 tables, no figures.     Analytical radiative corrections of order (\alpha/\pi)(q/M_1) are calculated for the four-body region of the Dalitz plot of baryon semileptonic decays when the s_1 \cdot p_2 correlation is present. Once the final result is available, it is possible to exhibit it in terms of the corresponding final result of the three-body region following a set of simple changes in the latter.     ABSTRACT : After a brain injury, raised temperature may be due to a regulated readjustment in the hypothalamic ‘set-point’ in response to inflammation. The purpose of this report is to mention possible implications related to temperature and homeostasis of morphine treatment in a patient with brain injury. During the month previous to her hospitalization in our city she was treated for fever with paracetamol and metamizol without results. After 31 days with similar results, we changed to morphine IV considering the possibility of treating pain and fever. This option was successful and afterwards we changed to fentanyl patches, keeping fever absent. After 100 days of hospitalization, the patient was discharged to her home

    Dinuclear Co(II)‑Muconate Complex Displaying Distorted‑TrigonalPrismatic Geometry, 2D Supramolecular Array and Weak Antiferromagnetism

    Influence of the 2D supramolecular array in the distorted trigonal prismatic geometry of a dinuclear Co(II)-muconate complex exhibiting weak antiferromagnetic exchange.Dinuclear complex [ Co2(H2O)4(dmb)2(muc)][muc] (1) (muc = muconate; dmb = 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), was obtained by self-assembly solution reaction, under ambient conditions, and it was structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system in the C2/c space group. Noticeably, the six-coordinated Co(II) centers display a distorted-trigonal prismatic configuration. This uncommon coordination geometry is attained due to the hydrogen bonding interactions of the crystalline structure of 1, yielding thus a 2D supramolecular array. Magnetic properties measurements reveal that metaprism 1 exhibits weak antiferromagnetic ordering with θ(C-W) = -14.4 K and an E2 = 0.032 cm− 1 accordingly to Curie–Weiss model and Rueff phenomenological approach, respectively.Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Méxic

    In the physiological state a multitude of gut hormones are released into the circulation at the same time depending on the quality and quantity of the diet. These hormones interact with receptors at various points in the “gut-brain axis” to affect short-term and intermediate-term feelings of hunger and satiety. The combined effects of macronutrients on the predominant gut hormone secretion are still poorly understood. Besides, adipokines form an important part of an “adipoinsular axis” dysregulation which may contribute to -cell failure and hence to type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Even more, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and T2DM seem to share a genetic basis. In susceptible individuals, chronic exaggerated stimulation of the proximal gut with fat and carbohydrates may induce overproduction of an unknown factor that causes impairment of incretin production and/or action, leading to insufficient or untimely production of insulin, so that glucose intolerance develops.The bypass of the duodenum and jejunum might avoid a putative hormone overproduction in the proximal foregut in diabetic patients that might counteract the action of insulin, while the early presentation of undigested or incompletely digested food to the ileum may anticipate the production of hormones such as GLP1, further improving insulin action
