Networking in the food sector of regional economy

Purpose: The article aims to study the features and the directions of development of network interaction of subjects of the food sector in different regions of the economy. Design/Methodology/Approach: The use of different methodological approaches allowed us to formulate a holistic management concept for the development of a network of competences in the food sector of the regional economy. Findings: The study identified the subjects of such interaction, as well as features that allow them to unite into groups that form networks of competencies. Considering the food sector of the region's economy as a socio-economic system, noted its extreme structural complexity, which necessitates the development of special approaches to its management, or rather the need for structural management is presented. The format of such interaction is a network of competencies, representing a spatially localized socio-economic structure formed on the initiative of active subjects of the regional economy. Practical Implications: The results obtained can be used as a basis for designing a network form of development of the food sector of the region's economy, taking into account the nature of placement and interaction of participants, as well as allowing for effective use of their resource capabilities, experience and knowledge. Originality/Value: In order to overcome the problems associated with the formation of network identity, network management competence is proposed to use a structured approach allowing them to make targeted decisions based on objective conditions and institutional nature.peer-reviewe

How Sexualised Images in Advertisements Influence the Attention and Preference of Consumers with a Modern View

This paper aims to determine how using sexualised images in advertisements influences the attention and preference of consumers with a modern attitude towards gender stereotypes. This research used a methodological approach based on eye tracking of the perception of advertising images – an eye-tracking study measured how the general attitudes towards gender roles mediate attention. A control question for attitudes towards gender stereotypes was used. The degree of preference for advertising was also examined in the study. The results show that sexual stimuli are not more eye-catching than non-sexual, as sexual advertisements do not capture attention faster and are not viewed for a longer time than non-sexual advertisements. The originality and value of the study lies in the fact that the article supports the right marketing decisions to overcome gender stereotypes in advertising, to avoid advertising errors associated with unjustified sexualisation and eroticisation of visual advertising images and models. It also suggests directions for future research on various aspects of gender stereotypes in advertising

Signification of traditional architecture in terms of preserving identity of modern architectural space in Ukraine

In modern conditions the preservation of individual peculiarities and national identity of architectural environment is becoming a necessity. Nowadays, architectural environment turned into a permanent state for a great number of people living in big cities. This cities have to provide residents with opportunities to identify themselves with their place of residence, the presence of such individual features of habitant that form an image of a “small homeland”. Traditionally, this opportunity was provided by the natural surroundings of a town or a settlement – with their original topography, water spaces, trees. However, under the circumstances when the development, which is the place of the residents’ permanent stay, occupies large areas a visual link with the surroundings is deteriorated or even completely lost. Then a natural landscape cannot any longer provide the individuality of the urban image independently (with a few exceptions, when it has a very showy elements – lake, as in Chicago or a large river with steep banks, as in Kyiv) and this task remains with the architectural environment
