Entendre les espaces et les temps du torrent : contextualisation de l’écoute

Cette relation, aussi frontale et saisissante soit-elle, peut être vécue au quotidien selon des modalités diverses et solliciter différentes échelles. Ainsi, nous pouvons relever deux modes d’engagement principaux dans le rapport à la vallée et, plus spécifiquement, dans la relation au torrent qui la parcourt : le premier se caractérise par une forme de fixité et de distance, le second tient du mouvement et de l’immersion. Ces différents rapports à l’environnement ainsi que les deux échelles associées, semblent intéressants lorsqu’on considère l’écoute. Questionnant l'écoute habitante (dans le cadre d'une recherche intitulée "Ausculter l'Environnement"), nous verrons ici que celle-ci apparaît à la fois spatialisante et temporalisante

Since 1979, state pharmacy practice laws have begun to allow pharmacists to provide advanced levels of care in collaboration with prescribers. These might be termed medication therapy management, collaborative practice, comprehensive medication management and other variations. Invariably, pharmacists working closely with prescribers and patients in care of chronic disease have achieved dramatic results including improvement in surrogate markers, decreased rates of secondary large organ disease, decreased mortality, decreased hospitalizations, and as a result decreased spending.1-28 This paper will discuss the profound impact of advanced practice models on patient care and the health care system, the current status of New York’s collaborative drug therapy management law, the comprehensive medication management proposal in Governor Cuomo’s fiscal year 2018 Budget bill, and its potential impact on morbidity and mortality when applied to chronic disease

Quest for survival: What comprises and effective team

The journey to thrive competitively in the millenium will demand teamwork. Historically, corporate America has had difficulty implementing teams to drive performance. In theory building effective teams seems easy but in reality putting this knowledge into practice that changes behavior and fosters learning is a difficult challenge for corporations today. Through a series of 13 interviews this study benchmarks both the service and manufacturing industry to identify the characteristics about what comprises an effective team in organizations today, how their organizational design impacts team development and the different ways that people learn, think about and understand teams in organizations. Developing a team-based learning organization requires implementing a systems approach that focuses on its leadership, cultural environment, process management, change management and knowledge management. This article traces the role of Roger Nash Baldwin as a leading figure in the American civil liberties movement in the early twentieth century. In particular, the article highlights the central role of St. Louis in this history. At the advice of family friend Louis Brandeis, Baldwin moved to St. Louis to become a sociology professor at Washington University. At the time, St. Louis was a center of migration for African Americans escaping oppression in the South. The article traces a variety of geographical locations throughout St. Louis that were important to Baldwin’s development as a leader in the civil liberties movement
