    Get PDF
The authors consider the communicative aspect of training the specialists of the Civil Protection Service of Ukraine. The authors are convinced that rescuing people is a communication-related profession and, therefore, a specialist of the Civil Protection Service of Ukraine must be able to communicate and be competent in this communication. It is proven that professional communication greatly facilitates the learning process, helps the trained specialists to improve theircompetence, improves the process of mutual understanding with coworkers, and promotes creative solution of working tasks

School Policy in Russia and the Challenges of A Multicultural Society

AbstractThe paper analyses major importance factors of multicultural education in Russia aimed at the cultural dialogue, reviews answers of the official school policy to challenges of multiculturalism, points to a need to balance interests of the Federal Center and the regions, as an instrument to develop common Russian identity, the Russian “super-ethnos”. The ideas of ethno-cultural (ethno-pedagogy) and multicultural (poly-cultural) education, as being developed by Russian experts, the practices of international education and the threats to international dialogue in the Russian-society education are presented also

Transient fluctuation of the prosperity of firms in a network economy

The transient fluctuation of the prosperity of firms in a network economy is investigated with an abstract stochastic model. The model describes the profit which firms make when they sell materials to a firm which produces a product and the fixed cost expense to the firms to produce those materials and product. The formulae for this model are parallel to those for population dynamics. The swinging changes in the fluctuation in the transient state from the initial growth to the final steady state are the consequence of a topology-dependent time trial competition between the profitable interactions and expense. The firm in a sparse random network economy is more likely to go bankrupt than expected from the value of the limit of the fluctuation in the steady state, and there is a risk of failing to reach by far the less fluctuating steady state

    Rearranging Edgeworth-Cornish-Fisher Expansions

This paper applies a regularization procedure called increasing rearrangement to monotonize Edgeworth and Cornish-Fisher expansions and any other related approximations of distribution and quantile functions of sample statistics. Besides satisfying the logical monotonicity, required of distribution and quantile functions, the procedure often delivers strikingly better approximations to the distribution and quantile functions of the sample mean than the original Edgeworth-Cornish-Fisher expansions.Comment: 17 pages, 3 figure

The aim of the study is to determine the motives of students to fitness classes at technical university. The results of the survey of students I - II courses motivation for fitness classes in physical education. The survey involved 182 students (173 girls and 9 boys) of technical faculties. Found that most of the students have been studying fitness for entry the university. The main motivation for fitness training is to increase the level of physical fitness and self-confidence, as well as the development of special vocational important physical qualities, which in the future will contribute to the professional activities of the students. It is shown that universities are engaged in fitness in 13.82% of the students. Swimming is the clear leader - 18.37% and athletic gymnastics - 17.19%. Also popular are sports games - 26.77% (football, basketball, volleyball, tennis). Also are visited sections in gymnastics, wrestling, boxing, and tourism

Growing of Six_{x}Ge1-x_{{\bf1}\hbox{\scriptsize-}x}O2_{\bf2} single crystals with α\alpha-quartz structure and their characterization

Crystals of α\alpha -Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} solid solution is a new material with relatively high piezoelectric coefficients and temperature stability. Theoretical and experimental study on the development of reliable and reproducible method of α\alpha -Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} crystal growth under hydrothermal conditions will be proposed in the report. Influence of the composition of solutions, T-P parameters, growth rates of different faces, capture and distribution of Si and Ge on morphology and internal structure of the crystals, and the basic crystallochemical characteristics and properties of the crystals have been investigated.
The most important result of the performed investigations is an experimental proof of the growth of α\alpha -Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} single crystals with α\alpha -quartz structure under conditions of the stable existence of trigonal quartz and tetragonal germanium oxide phases. The maximum GeO2_{2 } content (38,78 mass%) has been attained while crystal growth in aqueous solutions of ammonium fluoride at temperature of 700∘^{\circ}C and pressure of the order of 180MPa. Crystals grown in alkaline solutions at similar T-P parameters are characterized by the maximum GeO2_{2} content of 25 mass%. A temperature of the α-ÎČ\alpha\hbox{\scriptsize-}\beta polymorphous transition of α\alpha-Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} with GeO2_{2} content of 38 mass% has reached 840∘^{\circ}C (instead 573∘^{\circ}C of α\alpha-quartz).
GeO2_{2} portion increases in α\alpha -Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} crystals at temperature and growth rates rise. The highest GeO2_{2} content belongs to the growth sectors of positive and negative rhombohedra; the minimum - belongs to the growth sectors of hexagonal prism. A regular rise of the unit cell parameters and refraction indices are observed at GeO2_{2} portion increase in α\alpha-Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} crystals. An appearance of new absorption bands was found in IR-spectra, caused by a formation of Si-O-Ge bridge bonds. A shifting of practically all bands in the IR-spectra of the combinational scattering for a distance of 10-15 cm-1^{\hbox{\scriptsize-}1} into the region of short-wave vibrations seems to be related to this very fact. The basic piezoelectric constants d11_{11} and d14_{14} of α\alpha-Six_{\rm x}Ge1-x_{1\hbox{\scriptsize-}{\rm x}}O2_{2} crystals have increased as compared to quartz by approximately two times.
