Sigma-models having supermanifolds as target spaces

We study a topological sigma-model ($A$-model) in the case when the target space is an ($m_0|m_1$)-dimensional supermanifold. We prove under certain conditions that such a model is equivalent to an $A$-model having an ($m_0-m_1$)-dimensional manifold as a target space. We use this result to prove that in the case when the target space of $A$-model is a complete intersection in a toric manifold, this $A$-model is equivalent to an $A$-model having a toric supermanifold as a target space.Comment: 6 pages,late

Obstacles conceptuels et disciplines scolaires : l'exemple d'un modèle didactique intégré, anglais-français-mathématiques en collège

Les résultats de recherches conduites à l'INRP depuis près de 20 ans ont permis d'identifier des obstacles cognitifs récurrents qui se traduisent pour bon nombre d'élèves par des difficultés d'apprentissage non seulement en anglais et en français mais aussi en mathématiques. Comment les résoudre dans un cadre strictement disciplinaire si leur origine se situe bien en amont, dans la construction des relations complexes entre langue et réalité ? Ces constats nous ont amenés à réfléchir aux points de convergence entre disciplines scolaires de façon à proposer des contenus d'enseignement transversaux en prise sur les programmes de français, d'anglais et de mathématiques (fin de cycle 3 et 6e). À partir de concepts empruntés à la théorie de l'énonciation, il s'agit de fournir aux élèves des procédures stables pour aborder la variabilité linguistique des formes dans un système linguistique donné (français, langue étrangère ou langage mathématique) ou d'un système linguistique à un autre (français / anglais). Depuis six ans, ces contenus innovants sont mis en œuvre dans le cadre de dispositifs expérimentaux dans plusieurs collèges en France. La communication abordera quelques aspects de la démarche didactique en insistant sur la façon dont les concepts sont traités et comment ils sont réinvestis en cours d'anglais, de français et de mathématiques. Altérité et invariants, une autre façon d'aborder l'apprentissage des langues au collège

The paper presents an innovative didactical framework aiming at overcoming a variety of inevitable unexpected obstacles that hinder school language learning. Located at the heart of language activity, these obstacles need a specific didactic treatment. The research showed that whatever the subject, be it French (the pupils' school language), English as a foreign language or even mathematics, pupils are confused when it comes to dealing with language and reality mainly because they pick up wrong clues and use unstable irrelevant strategies. In order to help them grasp the complex links between language and reality, we set up crosscut teaching concepts directly inspired from Antoine Culioli's Theory of Enunciative Operations. Such didactic tools as the " World-In-Between " and the " ARB " are used to develop new simple language learning procedures. These innovative contents have been implemented for five years in a few French schools with pupils aged 11 to 14. The regular assessments prove successful both from the learner's and teacher's points of view.Le travail présenté ici s'appuie sur des concepts empruntés à la théorie de l'énonciation pour interroger les points de convergence entre disciplines scolaires au collège en France. Les résultats de recherches conduites à l'INRP depuis près de 20 ans ont permis d'identifier des obstacles cognitifs récurrents, à l'origine d'une partie des difficultés rencontrées par les élèves en anglais, français et mathématiques. Ces obstacles, situés au cœur de l'activité langagière dans les relations complexes qu'entretiennent langue et réalité, ne trouvent pas de solution strictement disciplinaire. Partant de ces constats, notre équipe travaille à concevoir des contenus d'enseignement transversaux destinés à munir les élèves de repères stables pour aborder la variabilité linguistique des formes dans un système linguistique donné (français, langue étrangère ou langage mathématique) ou d'un système linguistique à un autre (français / anglais). La notion de Monde Intermédiaire et le ARB sont les éléments-clés de ce modèle didactique innovant. Un dispositif expérimental existe en collège depuis cinq ans qui permet d'en vérifier la faisabilité et d'en évaluer l'efficacité du point de vue de l'apprentissage et des stratégies d'enseignement

Civic Duty, Moral Responsibility, and Reciprocity

This paper, which is based on ethnographic field research, analyses the system of resident-volunteers in the neighbourhoods of Beijing. Between co-optation networks, surveillance missions, ritualised practices, and ordinary exchanges of sociability amongst neighbours, volunteering is an interesting form of citizen participation in urban China. The volunteer networks are made up of inhabitants who are selected and involved through the norms of civic duty, personal acquaintance, moral obligation, or persuasion, in order to contribute to the production of local public order. Finally, this specific form of voluntarism reveals, from the perspective of retired people, how shared socio-political practices are created and perpetuated within an institutional volunteering system
