Proactive detection of DDOS attacks in Publish-Subscribe networks

Information centric networking (ICN) using architectures such as Publish-Subscribe Internet Routing Paradigm (PSIRP) or Publish-Subscribe Internet Technology (PURSUIT) has been proposed as an important candidate for the Internet of the future. ICN is an emerging research area that proposes a transformation of the current host centric Internet architecture into an architecture where information items are of primary importance. This change allows network functions such as routing and locating to be optimized based on the information items themselves. The Bloom filter based content delivery is a source routing scheme that is used in the PSIRP/PURSUIT architectures. Although this mechanism solves many issues of today’s Internet such as the growth of the routing table and the scalability problems, it is vulnerable to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. In this paper, we present a new content delivery scheme that has the advantages of Bloom filter based approach while at the same time being able to prevent DDoS attacks on the forwarding mechanism. Our security analysis suggests that with the proposed approach, the forwarding plane is able to resist attacks such as DDoS with very high probabilit

Three-position Dimensional Synthesis of Four-Bar Mechanism for Function Generation Using Fuzzy Logic Mathematics

    Get PDF
Dimensional synthesis of the four-bar mechanism could not be determined precisely due to many constraints such as manufacturing tolerance, joint clearance, thermal deformation, the deflection and so on. All of these constraints are included in the uncertainty of the dimensions of the four-bar mechanism. In this research, this uncertainty will be modeled based on the fuzziness one of the precision points of Freudenstein\u27s equation that builds intervals of link’s dimensions with membership functions. They represents the probability of the dimensions value depending on the uncertainty of the positions of the precision point itself rather than uncertainty of the external information about the mechanism dimensions. The results of the fuzzy synthesis will be defuzzified using the centroid defuzzification method to get the dimensions of the mechanism. Then, the resultant function from the fuzzy synthesis is comparing with the crisp one to study the range and limits of the fuzziness operation in the generated function

Web-Base Point Of Sale Application For Segarmart

    Get PDF
With Web-base and point of sale application services can be easily in any way. Consumer point-of-sale (POS) applications include those applications that consumers encounter directly or indirectly at the point of sale. Examples include terminals used by cashiers, ATM machines, and in-store kiosks. This research introduces a prototype "Web-base Point of sale selection application prototype" that provides the cashier inside the Segarmart, to use the system for make calculate for fruits, so the system can save the time and effort

MOEA/D with Tabu Search for multiobjective permutation flow shop scheduling problems

    Get PDF
Multiobjective Evolutionary Algorithm based on Decomposition (MOEA/D) decomposes a multiobjective optimisation problem into a number of single-objective problems and optimises them in a collaborative manner. This paper investigates how to use Tabu Search (TS), a well-studied single objective heuristic to enhance MOEA/D performance. In our proposed approach, the TS is applied to these subproblems with the aim to escape from local optimal solutions. The experimental studies have shown that MOEA/D with TS outperforms the classical MOEA/D on multiobjective permutation flow shop scheduling problems. It also have demonstrated that use of problem specific knowledge can significantly improve the algorithm performance

Homotopy Continuation Method of Arbitrary Order of Convergence for Solving Differenced Hyperbolic Kepler's Equation

    Get PDF
In this paper, an efficient iterative method of arbitrary integer order of >=2 will be established for the solution of differenced hyperbolic convergent Kepler's equation. The method is of dynamic nature in the sense that, on going from one iterative scheme to the subsequent one, only additional instruction is needed. Moreover, which is the most important, the method does not need any priori knowledge of the initial guess. Aproperty which avoids the critical situations between divergent to very slow convergent solutios, that may exist in other numberical methods which depend on initial guess. Computeational package for digital implementation of the method is given
