C. G. de Moen, president and D. J. van der Werp, secretary, of the Board of Curators at the Theological School of the Christian Seceded Church at Kampen send a letter to the Classis of Holland because the board has received a letter from the Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte, secretary of the Classis. They declare that a close relationship exists between the Classis and the theological school. The school was organized in 1854 and now had four instructors and 46 students. The school would welcome young men from the Colony for theological study although they recognize that distance is a problem. Rising serum values of beta-subunit human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in patients with progressive vulvar carcinomas.

Elevated serum levels of the beta-subunit of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) were measured in 50% of patients with locoregional recurrences or progressive vulvar carcinoma (n = 14). At diagnosis of vulvar cancer, however, the incidence of elevated serum levels was low (5%) in 104 patients. The rising serum levels during progression of disease indicate that the synthesis of the beta-subunit hCG can be increased in vulvar carcinoma

A brief poem is addressed to Dear Pastor (Leraar). There is no indication who the Pastor is, but the document is found in the Van Raalte Collection at Calvin College. Apparently the signers are students in a class which Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte or someone close to the family taught. The names of the students are appended as well as the date. The students are: J. Wakker, J. Kroes, N. Kanters, A. Phanstiehl, L. Binnekant, R. Struik, G. Wakker, and K.
