DEUS NO DINHEIRO: UMA ANÁLISE DO ENUNCIADO “DEUS SEJA LOUVADO” NAS CÉDULAS DE REAL

This paper is a discursive analysis of the sentence "God be praised", present in banknotes in circulation in Brazil. Based on the Discourse Analysis of Michel Pêcheux, we seek to understand the conditions of discourse production that entered and that supports the permanence of this statement in cash as well as the controversy around it. The paper is structured as follows: first we introduce the topic, specifying the object of analysis and showing historically how was the placement of this statement in the money. Then we quickly expose the controversy surrounding the civil action (2012), that intended to remove this statement from the money. After that, we passed the examination itself and show how religious ideology works on the statement in question once printed on a support such as paper money. In conclusion, we make some comments about the materiality of religious discourse and its implications in the public sphere.En este artículo se hace un análisis discursivo del enunciado “Deus seja louvado”, presente en los billetes de dinero actualmente en Brasil. Basado en el Análisis del Discurso de Michel Pêcheux, buscamos comprender las condiciones de producción del discurso que introdujo y que sostiene el mantenimiento de este enunciado en el dinero, y también la controversia acerca de él. Este artículo está estructurado de la siguiente manera: primeramente introducimos el tema, especificando el objeto de análisis y indicando históricamente cómo ocurrió la colocación de ese enunciado en los billetes. Luego exponemos rápidamente la polémica acerca de la acción civil pública del 2012, que intentó retirar dicho enunciado del dinero. En seguida pasamos al análisis própriamente dicho y mostramos cómo la ideología religiosa funciona en este enunciado luego de haber sido imprimido en un soporte como los billetes de dinero. Como conclusión, hacemos algunos comentários sobre la materialidad del discurso religioso y sus implicaciones en la esfera pública.  Este artigo faz uma análise discursiva do enunciado “Deus seja louvado”, presente nas cédulas do dinheiro em circulação no Brasil. A partir da Análise de Discurso de Michel Pêcheux, procuramos entender as condições de produção do discurso que inseriu e que sustenta a permanência de tal enunciado no dinheiro, bem como a polêmica em torno de tal dizer. O artigo está estruturado do seguinte modo: primeiramente introduzimos o assunto, especificando o objeto de análise e mostrando historicamente como se deu a colocação desse enunciado no dinheiro. Em seguida expomos rapidamente a polêmica em torno da ação civil pública de 2012, que pretendeu retirar o enunciado do dinheiro. Logo depois passamos à análise propriamente dita e mostramos como a ideologia religiosa funciona no enunciado em questão uma vez impresso num suporte como as cédulas de dinheiro. À guisa de conclusão, fazemos alguns comentários acerca da materialidade do discurso religioso e suas implicações na esfera pública

CARACTERISTICAS FÍSICAS E VIDA ÚTIL DE TOMATES ‘DEBORA’, HIGIENIZADOS OU NÃO, DURANTE ARMAZENAMENTO.

Os tomates apresentam alto teor de umidade, cuja perda ocasiona perda de massa fresca e  murchamento e enrugamento. Logo, o objetivo deste estudo é o de verificar o efeito de baixa temperatura (12± 1ºC) e temperatura ambiente (19-25ºC, com 47,7-66,48% UR) na perda de massa fresca, aparência e coloração de tomate ‘Debora’, higienizados ou não. Através dos resultados obtidos neste estudo, pode-se verificar que ocorreu parte de perda de massa fresca, independente do tratamento e da temperatura de armazenamento; a vida útil foi maior em frutos armazenados à temperatura de refrigeração, independente da higienização ou não; o uso de higienização, manteve a coloração e aparência dos frutos. No geral, pode-se concluir que, o uso de baixa temperatura foi eficaz no retardamento da perda de massa fresca e no prolongamento da vida útil

Water deficit on germination and vigour in seeds of the Jambu

Water availability influences plant metabolism during the various stages of development, especially in the period between germination and seedling emergence. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of water deficit during the germination process on seeds of A. oleracea. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomised design, with four replications of 50 seeds. The treatments were arranged in a 5 x 2 factorial scheme, with the first factor consisting of the osmotic potentials (-0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8 and distilled water for the potential 0.0 MPa) and the second factor consisting of two lots of seed. The germination test was carried out on substrates moistened with solutions of mannitol and polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) at the various potentials, in a Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) germinator at a temperature of 30°C and under constant light. The test was evaluated daily for 14 days, considering the seeds that had a root length equal to or greater than two millimetres as having germinated. The variables under analysis were germination, germination speed index, seedling length and seedling dry weight. The germination process of A. oleracea is compromised at water potentials of -0.2 MPa and -0.4 MPa when submitted to PEG and mannitol respectively. Seeds from Lot 1 were more tolerant to the water deficit than were those from Lot 2

Transformação dos resíduos lignocelulósicos da cafeicultura em pellets para geração de energia térmica

Among the numerous biomass sources possible to be used for energy purposes, lignocellulosic residues of coffee plantations are highlighted. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the potential of waste processing of coffee beans in pellet production for the generation of thermal energy, and classify them regarding marketability, using Standard DIN EN 14961-6. The pellets were produced considering the following composition (based on weight): 100% coffee hulls; 100% silver skin; 50% coffee hulls and 50% silver skin; 70% coffee hulls and 30% eucalyptus sawdust and 70% silver skin and 30% eucalyptus sawdust. Fresh biomass moisture was quantified, as well as bulk density and energy densities. For the pellets, physical and energetic properties (moisture, unit density, bulk density, heating values and energy densities) were evaluated, as well as chemical properties (volatile materials, ash and fixed carbon) and mechanical properties (resistance to diametral compression, fines content and durability). Waste processing of coffee beans can be transformed into granulated solid biofuels for the generation of heat energy. Coffee hull pellets, silver skin, coffee hulls with silver film and coffee hulls with wood can be marketed and exported to the European Union, following the requirements of Standard DIN EN 14961-6.Dentre as inúmeras fontes de biomassa possíveis de serem utilizadas para fins energéticos, destacam-se os resíduos lignocelulósicos oriundos da cafeicultura. Objetivou-se, neste trabalho, avaliar o potencial dos resíduos do processamento dos grãos de café na produção de pellets, para a geração de energia térmica e classificá-los quanto à possibilidade de comercialização, utilizando-se a norma DIN EN 14961-6. Os pellets foram produzidos, considerando-se a seguinte composição (base à massa): 100% de casca de café; 100% de película prateada; 50% de casca de café e 50% de película prateada; 70% de casca de café e 30% de serragem de eucalipto e 70% de película prateada e 30% de serragem de eucalipto. Foi quantificada a umidade da biomassa in natura, bem como a densidade a granel e as densidades energéticas. Já nos pellets, foram avaliadas as propriedades físicas e energéticas (umidade, densidade unitária, densidade a granel, poderes caloríficos e densidades energéticas); propriedades químicas (materiais voláteis, cinzas e carbono fixo) e propriedades mecânicas (resistência à compressão diametral, teor de finos e durabilidade). Os resíduos do processamento dos grãos de café podem ser transformados em biocombustíveis sólidos granulados, para a geração de energia calorífica. Os pellets de casca de café, película prateada, casca de café com película prateada e casca de café com madeira podem ser comercializados e exportados para a União Europeia, seguindo as exigências da norma DIN EN 14961-6

Seroprevalence and Seroconversion of Dengue and Implications for Clinical Diagnosis in Amazonian Children

This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of serum IgG dengue in children in an Amazonian population, to assess the seroconversion rate in 12 months, and to estimate how many seropositive children had a prior clinical diagnosis of dengue. We conducted a population-based study between 2010 and 2011, with children aged 6 months to 12 years that were living in the urban area of a small town in the Brazilian Amazon. The prevalence of IgG antibodies against dengue antigens was determined by indirect ELISA technique, and seronegative children were reexamined after 12 months to determine seroconversion rates. Results showed seroprevalence of IgG antibodies against dengue type of 2.9%, with no significant association between age, race, and sex. In seropositive children, only 8.4% had received a clinical diagnosis of dengue, and the ratio of clinically diagnosed cases and subclinical cases was 1 : 11. The seroconversion rate between 2010 and 2011 was 1.4% (CI 3.8% to 35.1%). The seroprevalence of dengue in this pediatric population was low, and the vast majority of cases were not clinically detected, suggesting a difficulty in making the clinical diagnosis in children and a high frequency of asymptomatic infections

"VEM PRA RUA": THE POLITICAL AND THE POLITICS ON THE WEB

Considering the political and the social division of senses, this paper seeks to check how is the process of signification in a society increasingly challenged by electronic discourse and the ways in which political and policy find themselves affected by it. In order do that, we make the analysis of discursive statements “vem pra rua” and “somos a rede social” that were present in banners and posters in street protests in Brazil in 2013, which were organized and delivered, in large part, by virtual means. We observed that such utterances go through a process of appropriation and re-signification, with shifting meanings that run of market logic, go to the social politics and go back to the market logic. We had also observed how the urban environment is affected by the electronic discourse that now constitutes the ways it makes sense
