The relationship between parental report about their children’s obsessive- compulsive disorder symptoms and thought fusion with parent-child relationship structure in adolescents with obsessive-compulsive disorder

The present study was aimed to examine the relationship between parental report about their children’s obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and thought fusion with the parent-child relationship structure among the adolescents with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The research method was correlational descriptive and the statistical population included all the adolescents affected by obsessive compulsive disorder in the City of Ardabil during the 2015-2016 year. The sampling method was available sampling so that 83 patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder were selected from and the questionnaires were implemented on them. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression method. The results showed a significant relationship between the parental report about their children’s obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms and the parent-child relationship structure, but no significant relationship was observed between the thought fusion of the adolescents with obsessive compulsive disorder and the parent-child relationship structure. Therefore, this research showed that using the parental report for detecting OCD in adolescents can be an effective strategy and can be used as a clinical assessment for additional assurance. Also, another important finding highlights the relationship between parent-child relationship structure and parent’s ability to predict their children abnormalities, so investigating family relationships also can be used for better understanding of patient’s problem and needs

«The effectiveness of premarital skills training on the personal growth of the single girls»

The aim of this study was to explain the effectiveness of premarital skills training on the personal growth of the single girls. The aim and the method of this study were respectively the patterns of applied and semi experimental along with pre and post-test, and control group. The purposeful or available sampling method was utilized in the current study. The tools of gathering the information included personal growth initiative scale (PGIS). The statistical cummunity was marriage applicants referring to BaharNekoo counseling Center from August to November in 2014. Relationship of Cognitive Emotion Regulation and Meaning in Life With Health Anxiety Among Emergency Nurses

Background: The current study aimed to investigate the relationship of cognitive emotion regulation and meaning in life with health anxiety in nurses working in emergency department. Materials and Methods: It was a descriptive research in the form of correlation and prediction. The sample included 100 emergency nurses in Sari City, Iran selected by randomized method of sampling. The participants completed items of the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) and health anxiety questionnaire. The research data were analyzed by descriptive statistics indices, Pearson correlation analysis, Partition coefficient, and multivariate regression, using SPSS. Results: The results suggested a significant relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and health anxiety, especially in the subscale of rumination in terms of negative cognitive emotion regulation. Also, there was a significant relationship between meaning in life and health anxiety. Conclusion: Generally, findings of this research can be useful in future studies regarding the effect of meaning in life and cognitive emotion regulation on health anxiety

Genomewide Clonal Analysis of Lethal Mutations in the Drosophila melanogaster Eye: Comparison of the X Chromosome and Autosomes

Using a large consortium of undergraduate students in an organized program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), we have undertaken a functional genomic screen in the Drosophila eye. In addition to the educational value of discovery-based learning, this article presents the first comprehensive genomewide analysis of essential genes involved in eye development.
