    Effects of row spacing and seeding rate on some agronomic characteristics of rapeseed

    Em dois experimentos conduzidos em campo, no Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Trigo (CNPT), em Passo Fundo, RS, foram estudados os efeitos de três densidades de semeadura (3, 6 e 9 kg/ha em 1980 e 3, 4,5 e 6 kg/ha em 1982) combinadas com três espaçamentes (18, 36 e 54 cm em 1980 e 20, 40 e 60 cm em 1982) e a lanço, sobre o rendimento e componentes deste parâmetro de uma cultivar de colza (Brassica napus L. var. oleifera Metzg.) (CTC 4). As densidades de semeadura usadas em 1982 e a interação densidades x espaçamentos (1980 e 1982) não afetaram o rendimento de grãos e as demais características agronômicas da colza. Houve significância entre as médias para alguns caracteres, em função dos espaçamentos nos dois anos; e para densidades, somente no primeiro. A semeadura a lanço foi a que apresentou maior rendimento de grãos.In two field trials conducted at National Wheat Research Center (CNPT) in Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil, the effects of three seeding rates, in combination with three row spacing and broadcast seeding, on yield and components of rape seed (Brassica napus L. var. oleifera Metzg.), cultivar CTC4, were studied. Seeding rates used in 1982 and its interaction with row spacing (1980 and 1982) did not affect grain yield and some agronomic characteristics of rape seed and other agronomic characteristics. There was significance between means for some characters on row spacing in both years of experimentation, and for sceding rates only in 1980. It was concluded that the highest grain yield was obtained by broadcasting the seeds

The potential of biotechnology for developing novel or well-known products at more competitive costs meets the need of this industrial segment in expanding their goals. In this work some technical aspects, problems and perspectives related to the production of oil and fat derivatives using biotransformation techniques are discussed.
