    The aim of this research is to describe the correlation between comprehension reading ability with writing ability a narrative essay in Indonesian learning at grade VA SDN 39 Sungai Kakap. This research used descriptive method and the type of the research is interrelationship studies. The sample of the research is 27 students. Based on statistical calculations comprehension reading ability include the sufficient category is 1676.32 or the average is 62.09. Writing ability a narrative essays include the sufficient category is 1783.35 or the average is 66.05. Correlation between comprehension reading ability whit writing ability a narrative essay is 0.67 and r xy > r table (0.67 > 0.396) is high category. That means occur a correlation between comprehension reading ability and writing ability a narrative essay in Indonesian learning at grade VA SDN 39 Sungai Kakap
