Some Examples and Counterexamples about Continuity on Equilibrium Problems

This paper attempts to underline how the Diagonal Transfer Continuity hypothesis (Baye, Tian and Zhou, 1993) and Better-Reply Security (Reny, 1999) are unconnected between themselves as sucient conditions for stating the existence of Nash equilibria. Besides, various examples and counterexamples regarding Nash equilibria existence Theorem (Baye, Tian and Zhou, 1993) and extensions of maximum existence results for bifunctions established for a function of one variable (Baye and and Zhou,1995). We present, also, a sucient conditions for Diagonal Transfer Continuity. Moreover, an example of quasi-concave game having multiple Nash equilibria, in which the aforesaid hypotheses and other improvements (Lignola, 1997) fall, is presented.Nash Equilibria Existence; Generalized Convexity; 2 Person Game; Generalized Continuity; Diagonal Transfer Quasi Concavity; Diagonal Transfer Continuity.

A note on pentavalent s-transitive graphs

AbstractA graph, with a group G of its automorphisms, is said to be (G,s)-transitive if G is transitive on s-arcs but not on (s+1)-arcs of the graph. Let X be a connected (G,s)-transitive graph for some s≥1, and let Gv be the stabilizer of a vertex v∈V(X) in G. In this paper, we determine the structure of Gv when X has valency 5 and Gv is non-solvable. Together with the results of Zhou and Feng [J.-X. Zhou, Y.-Q. Feng, On symmetric graphs of valency five, Discrete Math. 310 (2010) 1725–1732], the structure of Gv is completely determined when X has valency 5. For valency 3 or 4, the structure of Gv is known

Six new species of the caddisfly genus Orthotrichia are described and illustrated from China, namely Or. apophysis Zhou & Yang, sp. nov.; Or. latiramifera Zhou & Yang, sp. nov.; Or. cornuta Zhou &Yang, sp. nov.; Or. discedata Zhou & Morse, sp. nov.; Or. cuspidigera Zhou & Yang, sp. nov.; and Or. subrhomba Zhou & Morse, sp. nov.. One species, Or. terpsichore Malicky & Chantaramongkol, 2007, is recorded for the first time from China, bringing the number of species of the genus known from China to 14. Of these, 10 species are distributed among 3 species groups of Marshall (1979), with 4 species unassigned. The known distributions for all the Chinese Orthotrichia species are provided
