    Tighter weighted polygamy inequalities of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary-dimensional quantum systems

    We investigate polygamy relations of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary-dimensional quantum systems. By improving an inequality and using the β\betath (0β10\leq\beta\leq1) power of entanglement of assistance, we provide a new class of weighted polygamy inequalities of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary-dimensional quantum systems. We show that these new polygamy relations are tighter than the ones given in [Phys. Rev. A 97, 042332 (2018)]

    Ordering states with various coherence measures

    Quantum coherence is one of the most significant theories in quantum physics. Ordering states with various coherence measures is an intriguing task in quantification theory of coherence. In this paper, we study this problem by use of four important coherence measures -- the l1l_1 norm of coherence, the relative entropy of coherence, the geometric measure of coherence and the modified trace distance measure of coherence. We show that each pair of these measures give a different ordering of qudit states when d3d\geq 3. However, for single-qubit states, the l1l_1 norm of coherence and the geometric coherence provide the same ordering. We also show that the relative entropy of coherence and the geometric coherence give a different ordering for single-qubit states. Then we partially answer the open question proposed in [Quantum Inf. Process. 15, 4189 (2016)] whether all the coherence measures give a different ordering of states.Comment: 12 page

    A WENO Algorithm of the Temperature and Ionization Profiles around a Point Source

    We develop a numerical solver for radiative transfer problems based on the weighted essentially nonoscillatory (WENO) scheme modified with anti-diffusive flux corrections, in order to solve the temperature and ionization profiles around a point source of photons in the reionization epoch. Algorithms for such simulation must be able to handle the following two features: 1. the sharp profiles of ionization and temperature at the ionizing front (I-front) and the heating front (T-front), and 2. the fraction of neutral hydrogen within the ionized sphere is extremely small due to the stiffness of the rate equations of atom processes. The WENO scheme can properly handle these two features, as it has been shown to have high order of accuracy and good convergence in capturing discontinuities and complicated structures in fluid as well as to be significantly superior over piecewise smooth solutions containing discontinuities. With this algorithm, we show the time-dependence of the preheated shell around a UV photon source. In the first stage the I-front and T-front are coincident, and propagate with almost the speed of light. In later stage, when the frequency spectrum of UV photons is hardened, the speeds of propagation of the ionizing and heating fronts are both significantly less than the speed of light, and the heating front is always beyond the ionizing front. In the spherical shell between the I- and T-fronts, the IGM is heated, while atoms keep almost neutral. The time scale of the preheated shell evolution is dependent on the intensity of the photon source. We also find that the details of the pre-heated shell and the distribution of neutral hydrogen remained in the ionized sphere are actually sensitive to the parameters used.     Anomalous pressure behavior of tangential modes in single-wall carbon nanotubes

    Using the molecular dynamics simulations and the force constant model we have studied the Raman-active tangential modes (TMs) of a (10, 0) single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) under hydrostatic pressure. With increasing pressure, the atomic motions in the three TMs present obvious diversities. The pressure derivative of E1g, A1g, and E2g mode frequency shows an increased value (), a constant value (), and a negative value () above 5.3 GPa, respectively. The intrinsic characteristics of TMs consumedly help to understand the essence of the experimental T band of CNT. The anomalous pressure behavior of the TMs frequencies may be originated from the tube symmetry alteration from D10h to D2h then to C2h.Comment: 15 pages, 3 pages, submitted to Phys. Rev.

    Amending coherence-breaking channels via unitary operations

    The coherence-breaking channels play a significant role in quantum information theory. We study the coherence-breaking channels and give a method to amend the coherence-breaking channels by applying unitary operations. For given incoherent channel Φ\Phi, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the channel to be a coherence-breaking channel and amend it via unitary operations. For qubit incoherent channels Φ\Phi that are not coherence-breaking ones, we consider the mapping ΦΦ\Phi\circ\Phi and present the conditions for coherence-breaking and channel amendment as well.Comment: 8 page

    Full-length enriched multistage cDNA library construction covering floral bud development in Populus tomentosa

    Flowering involves expression of a suite of genes associated with floral development. The genome of the Chinese white poplar (Populus trichocarpa) was sequenced because of its importance as a model tree for genetic studies as well as being an economically important woody plant. However, information on expressed genes involved in poplar floral bud development is insufficient to allow annotation of genes and use of the genomic information. To isolate and characterize genes involved in flowering of Populus tomentosa, floral bud samples were collected at different developmental stages from floral bud initiation to flower maturity, and full-length enriched cDNA libraries from both male and female floral buds were constructed. The results of titer analysis showed that the titer of the female and male primary libraries were 8.00 × 105 and 7.20 × 105 pfu/ml, respectively, and the titer of the amplified libraries were 2.60 × 108 and 2.56 × 108 pfu/ml, respectively. The combination ratio reached 90% and the insert size was 400 to 2000 bp.
