    Simulation test of transformer short-circuit impedance based on equivalent model at different frequencies

    A distribution transformer is one of the most important equipments in the power grid, and its operational status is directly related to the security and stability of the entire power system. The performance of transformer windings determines the service life of the transformer. It is of great significance to evaluate the performance of transformer windings accurately, reliably, and effectively after the short-circuit test of the transformer. Aiming at the problem that the natural vibration frequency of the transformer measured before and after the short circuit may not be the same under the impact of the short circuit of the transformer, this paper puts forward the evaluation method for the performance evaluation of the winding of the transformer after the short circuit test and adopts the method of combining the analytic hierarchy process with the fuzzy evaluation method to quantitatively obtain the score for the performance evaluation of the winding. And that evaluation language is given according to the score. Finally, the evaluation of the transformer winding performance after the short-circuit test is realized. The evaluation results show that this method can effectively get the performance index of the transformer winding, without the need for hanging cover inspection, and solve the subjectivity of human eye observation to objectively, accurately, and quantitatively describe the performance state of the transformer winding. The method is favorable for power grid monitoring and maintenance personnel to accurately evaluate the operation stability of the transformer and has very positive significance for improving the short-circuit impact resistance of the transformer and ensuring the safety and stability of the operation of a power system

    The association between FGF21 and diabetic erectile dysfunction: Evidence from clinical and animal studies

    Erectile dysfunction (ED), a complication of diabetes mellitus (DM), affects 50–75% of men with diabetes. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a liver-derived metabolic regulator which plays a role in insulin-independent glucose uptake in adipocytes. We designed a clinical study and an animal experiment to investigate the relationship between FGF21 and DM-induced ED. The clinical study enrolled 93 participants aged \u3e 18 years (61 patients with type 2 DM and 32 healthy controls) from Taian City Central Hospital (TCCH) in Shandong Province, China, amongst whom the association between serum FGF21 and diabetic ED was analyzed. To further validate this association, we developed animal model of diabetic ED using Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Serum FGF21 concentration and FGF21 mRNA expression in penile samples of the rats were determined with Western blotting and quantitative real-time PCR. Among the 93 participants, the level of serum FGF21 was negatively correlated with the IIEF-5 score (r = -0.74, P \u3c 0.001). The analysis on the performance of FGF21 for ED diagnosis showed that the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was 0.875 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.803 to 0.946). In the animal experiment, the levels of serum FGF21, 2-Δ Δ Ct values of FGF21 mRNA expression, and relative levels of FGF21 in penile samples were higher in the ED group compared to the DM and control groups. Our findings demonstrated an association between the FGF21 level and diabetic ED, indicating the potential of this cytokine in predicting diabetic ED

    Perioperative dynamic alterations in peripheral regulatory T and B cells in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Intratumoral and circulating regulatory T cells (Tregs) have been shown to be critical in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However there is limited knowledge on the alterations of regulatory B cells (Bregs). We here investigated perioperative dynamic alterations of peripheral circulating Tregs and Bregs in HCC patients to reveal the relationship between regulatory lymphocytes and its clinical implications.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>36 patients with HCC, 6 with chronic hepatitis B infection and 10 healthy donors were enrolled for this study. Frequencies of peripheral Tregs and Bregs were measured by flow cytometry with antibodies against CD4, CD25, CD127, CD19 and IL-10 before, and after radical surgery. Then, clinical informatics of HCC patients was achieved through Digital Evaluation Score System (DESS) for the assessment of disease severity. Finally, we analysed correlations between digitalized clinical features and kinetics of circulating regulatory lymphocytes.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Level of circulating CD4<sup>+</sup>CD25<sup>+</sup>CD127<sup>- </sup>Tregs in HCC patients was significantly lower than that in healthy donors and patients with chronic hepatitis B infection before surgery, but was increased after surgery. Preoperative level of CD19<sup>+ </sup>IL-10<sup>+ </sup>Bregs in HCC patients was also significantly lower than the other groups. However it dramatically was elevated right after surgery and remained elevated compared to controls (about 7 days after surgery, <it>P </it>= 0.04). Frequency of circulating Tregs was correlated with circulating leukocytes, ferritin, and clinical features suggesting tumor aggressiveness including portal vein thrombosis, hepatic vein involvement and advanced clinical stages. Frequency of circulating Bregs was associated with Hepatitis B e Antigen (HBeAg) and Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA copy number. In addition, DESS was significantly and positively correlated with other staging systems.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Frequencies of peripheral Tregs and Bregs in HCC patients increased after surgery. These results suggest that a postoperative combination of therapies against Tregs and Bregs may be beneficial for better outcome of HCC patients after resection.</p
