Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control for a Class of Nonlinear System

    Get PDF
For a class of nonlinear system with parameter perturbation and external disturbance, adaptive fuzzy control can be used to approach the system unknown functions to reduce the control input and the steady-state error. And an adaptive switch control gain whose adaptive law is decreasing function is designed to weaken the system chattering, the switch gain of estimate will increase on the basis of the original without decreasing with the elimination of interference. If system is interferenced many times. Against the shortcomings, this paper proposes an improved adaptive law that can weaken the system chattering effectively while maintaining the strong robustness. The simulation results by tests show that this method is correct and effective

Supramolecular assembly of cucurbit[6]uril and N-butyl-4-pyrrolidinopyridine

    Get PDF
The nature of the supramolecular host-guest complex involving 4-pyrrolidinopyridine (BuPC4) and cucurbit[6]uril (Q[6]) has been investigated by NMR and UV spectroscopy, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallography and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC). The results revealed that the alkyl chain of the guest BuPC4 is located inside the cavity of the Q[6] host, whereas the other section of the BuPC4 guest remains outside of the portal

Quantum electrodynamics in a whispering-gallery microcavity coated with a polymer nanolayer

Quasi-transverse-electric and -transverse-magnetic fundamental whispering gallery modes in a polymer-coated silica microtoroid are theoretically investigated and demonstrated to possess very high-quality factors. The existence of a nanometer-thickness layer not only evidently reduces the cavity mode volume but also draws the maximal electric field's position of the mode to the outside of the silica toroid, where single quantum dots or nanocrystals are located. Both effects result in a strongly enhanced coherent interaction between a single dipole (for example, a single defect center in a diamond crystal) and the quantized cavity mode. Since the coated microtoroid is highly feasible and robust in experiments, it may offer an excellent platform to study strong-coupling cavity quantum electrodynamics, quantum information, and quantum computation

Thermoelectric effect in an Aharonov-Bohm ring with an embedded quantum dot

    Get PDF
Thermoelectric effect is studied in an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer with an embedded quantum dot (QD) in the Coulomb blockade regime. The electrical conductance, electron thermal conductance, thermopower, and thermoelectric figure-of-merit are calculated by using the Keldysh Green's function method. It is found that the figure-of-merit ZT of the QD ring may be quite high due to the Fano effect originated from the quantum interference effect. Moreover, the thermoelectric efficiency is sensitive to the magnitude of the dot-lead and inter-lead coupling strengthes. The effect of intradot Coulomb repulsion on ZT is significant in the weak-coupling regime, and then large ZT values can be obtained at rather high temperature

The Application of Resonance Light Scattering Technique for the Determination of Tinidazole in Drugs

    Get PDF
A resonance light scattering technique to determine tinidazole in drugs was developed by tetraphenylboron sodium (TPB). Tinidazole was found to bind B(C6H5)−4 anion and transformed to tinidazole-TPB aggregate which displayed intense resonance scattering light. Effects of factors such as wavelength, acidity, stabilizers, and interferents on the RLS of tinidazole TPB were investigated in detail. The RLS intensity of the tinidazole-TPB suspension was obtained in sulfuric acid solution (pH = 1.44). The resonance scattering light intensity at the maximum RLS peak of 569.5 nm was linear to the concentration of tinidazole in the range of 10.0–30.0 μg mL−1 with a detection limit of 5.0 μg mL−1. Good results were also obtained with the recovery range of 95.13–106.76%. The method was applied to determine tinidazole in injections and tablets, showing high sensitivity and accuracy compared with the high performance liquid chromatography method (HPLC) according to Chinese Pharmacopoeia
