The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C12H10N4O2, contains three half-molecules. Each half-molecule is completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The title compound, (I), is a polymorph of the structure, (II), reported by Hsu & Chen [Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. (2004), 1488–1493]. In the original report, the compound crystallized in the tetragonal space group P 21c (Z = 8), whereas the structure reported here is triclinic (P , Z = 3). In both forms, each oxamide molecule is almost planar (with maximum deviations are 0.266 and 0.166 Å) and the O atoms are trans oriented. The principal difference between the two forms lies in the different hydrogen-bonding patterns. In (I), two N—H⋯O and one N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming a two-dimensional network, whereas in (II) there are no classical hydrogen bonds to O atoms and only weak C—H⋯O interactions are found along with rings of N—H⋯N bonds

A revision of the genus Eurymesosa Breuning, 1938 (Cerambycidae, Lamiinae, Mesosini)

A taxonomic revision and redescription of the genus Eurymesosa Breuning, 1938 are presented, including a key to species. Three of the five currently accepted species are considered valid: Eurymesosa ventralis (Pascoe, 1865), Eurymesosa allapsa (Pascoe, 1866) and Eurymesosa ziranzhiyi Yamasako & Lin, 2016. Three junior synonyms are proposed for E. ventralis: Eurymesosa albostictica Breuning, 1962, syn. nov., Eurymesosa affinis Breuning, 1970, syn. nov., and Eurymesosa multinigromaculata Breuning, 1974, syn. nov. Additionally, E. allapsa (Pascoe, 1866) is resurrected from synonyms of E. ventralis. Females of E. allapsa and E. ziranzhiyi Yamasako & Lin, 2016 are described for the first time

Purpose: To identify the metabolites of gardenin A (GA) in rat liver microsomes (RLMs) using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with linear ion-trap Orbitrap mass spectrometry (UHPLCLTQ- Orbitrap). Methods: The sample was prepared by incubating GA (100 μg/mL) with RLMs (0.5 mg/mL) for 8 h. Then 5 μL of the sample was injected into UHPLC-LTQ- orbitrap mass spectrometer. The metabolites of GA were tentatively identified based on accurate mass measurements, fragmentation patterns, chromatographic retention times, and bibliography data. Results: A total of 12 metabolites were detected and identified. Based on their  structures, the main reactions in the metabolism of GA are de-methoxylation and de-methylation.Conclusion: This is the first report on in vitro metabolites of GA. These results are considered very helpful for better comprehension of the metabolism of GA and its pharmacological effects. Keywords: Gardenin A, Metabolites, UHPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap, Rat Liver microsome

Investigation on Microstructure and Optical Property of Nanocrystalline Silicon Thin Film

    Get PDF
Nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H) thin films were deposited by capacitive coupled radio-frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (RF-PECVD) system with direct current (DC) bias applied. Raman, XRD and ultraviolet-visible transmission spectra were employed to investigate their microstructure and optical properties, respectively. Both the crystalline volume fraction and the average crystalline size increase with the substrate temperature. With the increase of silane concentration, the crystalline volume fraction increases, while the average crystalline size decreases. With the increase of the radio frequency (RF) power or the DC negative bias voltage, the crystalline volume fraction and the average crystalline size increase firstly, then decreases. Finally, the optical band gaps were discussed in detail

Objective: To investigate the status of human parasites in children who have been evacuated here from Yushu after earthquake. Methods: Detect the eggs from smear feces samples. Results: 512 stool samples were collected and examined by microscope. The total infection rate was 6.05%, where the infection rate for entamoeba coli Grassi was 3.91%, Giardia lamblia stile was 1.56%, Ascaris Lumbricoides was 0.59%. Conclusion: Our results suggest that the infection rate of human parasites is not higher than normal rate in China

Changes and Relationship of PAF and TNF in Rats with Myocardial Ischaemia and Reperfusion Injury

In this study it is reported that: (1) the levels of blood platelet-activating factor and serum tumour necrosis factor significantly increased after coronary ligation and reperfusion, compared with sham-ligated controls, in an anaesthetized rat model; (2) compared with vehicle controls, pretreatment with the PAF antagonist BN 50739 (10 mg/kg, i.v.) produced significant decreases in infarct size (from 29.6 ± 4.0% to 22.4 ± 2.1%, p < 0.05 after 3 h ligation, and from 28.5 ± 9.5% to 10.5 ± 4.5%, p < 0.01 after 4 h reperfusion) and the level of serum TNF (from 10.4 ± 7.7 U/ml to 3.9 ± 4.8 U/ml, p < 0.05); and (3) a significan positive correlation was found between the level of blood PAF or serum TNF and infarct size. The present results indicate that PAF and TNF may be important mediators involved in myocardial ischaemia and reperfusion injury, and that PAF antagonists may exert a protective effect on ischaemic or reperfused myocardium by inhibiting the interaction of PAF and TNF

In the title compound, C14H11FN2O2, an intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond influences the molecular conformation; the two benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 18.4 (3)°. The F atom is disordered over two positions in a 0.717 (5):0.283 (5) ratio. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains extending along the c axis
