The author developed the model of subject teaching using a foreign language at high school on the basis of an integrated subject-linguistic approach, aimed at the development of a subject foreign language competence of a student. An integrated subject-linguistic approach in learning (CLIL - Contentand Language Integrated Learning) is recommended by European Commission for the use at high schools, because, first of all, it provides students with the opportunity to study a discipline and a foreign language simultaneously; secondly, the study of a foreign language does not require additional hours in a curriculum, which contributes to the intensification of professional training at a high school. Theoretical foundations of CLIL are based on L.S. Vygotsky theory of thought and speech relationship, BICS/CALP J. Cummins theory and the taxonomy of Bloom skills, covering the cognitive area of learning activities. The model was implemented on the basis of the discipline "The fundamentals of data mathematical processing", lasting 72 hours (2 credits). To test the model effectiveness on the basis of the Kazan Federal University during 2011-2014 a pedagogical experiment was performed. The paper presents and analyzes its results

The communication between Ryukyu・Okinawa and China has a long history. It has been said that the history has begun even at Ming Dynasty Ryukyu Dynasty were canonized by Chinese king even after Satsuma clan (now Kagoshima Prefecture)\u27s invasion in the beginning of 17 century. The tributary relations between Ryukyu and China had last for 5 centuries until Ryukyu became Okinawa Prefecture by Meiji Japanese government in 1872. The relationship between China and Ryukyu basic were tributary relations. However, the main transportation mean in Ryukyu were by ship, and lots of ship encountered typhoon, lost control of their ship, and finally were drifted to China continent. You can refer to these historical documentation in the book「Selected documentation of China-Ryukyurelations in Qing Dynasty」which was public by China First Historical Archives. Lots of ship-drift cases are written in this book from Qianlong era to Guangxu era of Qing Dynasty. Various forms of transportation can be found form those cases. This paper will not focus on tributary ships from Ryukyu, but on the part of rescue and aid from Qing government to those who were drifted from Ryukyu.文部科学省グローバルCOEプログラム 関西大学文化交渉学教育研究拠点東アジアの歴史と動

Purpose of the study: The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally verify the psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of a positive self-concept for adolescents from a foster family as the foundation for their effective social adaptation and harmonious personal development. Methodology: Pedagogical experiment (stating, forming and control stages of the experiment) was chosen as the leading method of the study. It allowed to implement a set of developed psychological and pedagogical measures. The study featured 26 adolescents and 18 parents. Results: As part of the efforts invested, there was experimentally verified the effectiveness of the developed psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of a positive self-concept of adolescents from a foster family. There were also defined statistically significant positive changes in the indicators of self-concept components (cognitive, emotional-evaluative, and behavioural). Teenagers began to set more realistic goals, to adequately relate to their personal qualities, to their status among peers and in the family. There has been a positive tendency to accepting oneself as a holistic and consistent self-image, aligned with the ideal-self modality. Applications of this study: The results of the study can become an additional source for specifying modern theories of the formation of a positive self-concept, the developed programs can be used in the practice of social educators, educators-psychologists working with foster children. Novelty/Originality of this study: The development of a methodological basis and effective psychological and pedagogical measures to form a positive self-concept for adolescents brought up in foster families is the scientific novelty of the study

EBSD characterization of cryogenically rolled type 321 austenitic stainless steel

Electron backscatter diffraction was applied to investigate microstructure evolution during cryogenic rolling of type 321 metastable austenitic stainless steel. As expected, rolling promoted deformation-induced martensitic transformation which developed preferentially in deformation bands. Because a large fraction of the imposed strain was accommodated by deformation banding, grain refinement in the parent austenite phase was minima

In the situation of the continuously developing and changeable world the science fiction that gained widespread appreciation in the 20th century gains new meanings and the authors attract more and more attention. Isaac Asimov is one of the most prominent representatives of this genre. His novels are distinguished by the stories representing the concepts of robototronics and social-philosophical future and the language of his works features specific terminology. The paper represents the specifics of terminology and its structural-linguistic, semantic and functional features within the determining context. The units being considered feature topical variety: Isaac Asimov uses the terms of robototronics, cosmology, physics, chemistry. The authors of the paper describe terms as specific literary elements of fantastic works. Appearing in the unusual context of a literary work the terminological units fulfill stylistic functions creating the unique images, atmosphere of events, being seamlessly intertwined with the narrative text. The study of the specifics of the term use in the literary texts is of interest from the perspective of the set of philological areas: terminology studies, stylistics, and literary studies. Interpretation of such kind makes contribution to identification of the author's word and phrase usage, supplements the academic idea of the individual style of a writer

Modern classification and molecular-genetic aspects of osteogenesis imperfecta

    Get PDF
Osteogenesis imperfecta (imperfect osteogenesis in the Russian literature) is the most common hereditary form of bone fragility, it is a genetically and clinically heterogeneous disease with a wide range of clinical severity, often leading to disability from early childhood. It is based on genetic disorders leading to a violation of the structure of bone tissue, which leads to frequent fractures, impaired growth and posture, with the development of characteristic disabling bone deformities and associated problems, including respiratory, neurological, cardiac, renal impairment, hearing loss. Osteogenesis imperfecta occurs in both men and women, the disease is inherited in both autosomal dominant and autosomal recessive types, there are sporadic cases of the disease due to de novomutations, as well as X-linked forms. The term “osteogenesis imperfecta” was coined by W. Vrolick in the 1840s. The first classification of the disease was made in 1979 and has been repeatedly reviewed due to the identification of the molecular cause of the disease and the discovery of new mechanisms for the development of osteogenesis imperfecta. In the early 1980s, mutations in two genes of collagen type I (COL1A1and COL1A2) were first associated with an autosomal dominant inheritance type of osteogenesis imperfecta. Since then, 18 more genes have been identified whose products are involved in the formation and mineralization of bone tissue.  The degree of genetic heterogeneity of the disease has not yet been determined, researchers continue to identify new genes involved in its pathogenesis, the number of which has reached 20. In the last decade, it has become  known that autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant and X-linked mutations in a wide range of genes, encoding  proteins that are involved in the synthesis of type I collagen, its processing, secretion and post-translational modification, as well as in proteins that regulate the differentiation and activity of bone-forming cells, cause imperfect  osteogenesis. A large number of causative genes complicated the classical classification of the disease and, due to new advances in the molecular basis of the disease, the classification of the disease is constantly being improved.  In this review, we systematized and summarized information on the results of studies in the field of clinical and genetic aspects of osteogenesis imperfecta and reflected the current state of the classification criteria for diagnosing the disease

In modern world, teachers and educators have to work in the linguistically inhomogeneous audience of pupils and students, most of whom are bilinguals. Various models of bilingual education have their own specifics related to the peculiarities of the country, its history, culture, economic status, language status and mentality of the nation. In the past 20 years the technology of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has become widespread in the European Union, which is used for teaching bilinguals. In the Republic of Tatarstan high school graduates with the Tatar language of education, after having entered higher education institutions, are faced with cognitive and linguistic difficulties, so the use of the technology of CLIL for bilingual education in universities of the Republic of Tatarstan is actual. Studying the experience of the application of CLIL in European universities of technology led to the conclusion that the most difficult in its realization is the development of teaching materials. The aim of the study was to develop teaching materials for use in the process of learning the Tatar-speaking students with the help of educational technology CLIL at university. We have developed the educational materials in computing based on Wikia and conducted educational experiment how to use them. The students of the Department of Tatar philology and culture of the Kazan Federal University took part in the experimental and control groups. The educational experiment was attended by 50 students, the experimental group - 25, control group -25 learners. The educational experiment was carried out for one semester of the academic year 2015/16. In teaching of the subject "Informatics" (36 hours) in the experimental group there were used the technology of CLIL and Web 2.0-based teaching materials. Informatics teaching in the control group was realized in Russian by means of traditional methods. The students were tested at the final stage of educational experiment. Processing of the results with the help of statistical methods led to the conclusion that the positive changes in the experimental group are due to CLIL-assisted training using teaching materials developed on the basis of Web 2.0 technologies

Effect of NO Synthase Blockade on NO Production in Rat Heart under Conditions of Hypokinesia

    Get PDF
© 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York. Electron paramagnetic (EPR) spectroscopy study showed that 90-day hypokinesia in rats is accompanied by an increase in NO production in the heart. A nonselective NO synthase inhibitor L-NAME decreased the content of NO in the heart atria and ventricles of hypokinetic rats by 67-70%. A selective inhibitor of inducible NO synthase, aminoguanidine, also decreased the level of NO in the heart atria and ventricles of hypokinetic rats by 60-65%. Our results indicate that the increase in NO production during hypokinesia is associated with activation of NO synthases
