HOW MULTICULTURALISM IMPACTS MANAGEMENT PROCESS WITHIN INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONS

    Get PDF
International business conflicts take place when one part sends a message in accordance with a specific culture, while the other part decodes the message considering another set of values, corresponding to their own culture. This situation is present because the particularities of other cultures are not known. Very often, the fact that people belonging to other cultures are different is ignored, through their religion, statute, decisions they take, attitude towards time and nonverbal language. Therefore, the essential element in taking decisions in the international business environment for the corporations that are involved in a global competition is the adjustment of management methods and techniques into the specific cultural space where they operate.international corporations; multicultural communication; multicultural behavior; management process; multicultural approach

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUBJECT-SUBJECT MODEL IN THE CONDITIONS OF MIXED LEARNING

Purpose: The article conducts the study implementation of the subject-subject model in the conditions of mixed learning. The article deals with the development of the subject-subject model in the conditions of blended learning. Methodology: We have shown the important role of blended learning in the maintenance and development of the subject-subject model of interaction between students and teachers. The implementation of subject-subject interaction was considered on the example of the discipline "General and professional pedagogy", the electronic course of which is presented on the Moodle platform. Result: To comply with the subject-subject model of interaction between the teacher and students, it is important to periodically monitor the developed electronic courses within the framework of blended learning. Therefore, the authors propose the criteria by which it should be carried out and the main stages of preparation of the course. Applications: This research can be used for the universities, teachers and education students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of the subject-subject model in the conditions of mixed learning is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner

Structured 3D Features for Reconstructing Controllable Avatars

We introduce Structured 3D Features, a model based on a novel implicit 3D representation that pools pixel-aligned image features onto dense 3D points sampled from a parametric, statistical human mesh surface. The 3D points have associated semantics and can move freely in 3D space. This allows for optimal coverage of the person of interest, beyond just the body shape, which in turn, additionally helps modeling accessories, hair, and loose clothing. Owing to this, we present a complete 3D transformer-based attention framework which, given a single image of a person in an unconstrained pose, generates an animatable 3D reconstruction with albedo and illumination decomposition, as a result of a single end-to-end model, trained semi-supervised, and with no additional postprocessing. We show that our S3F model surpasses the previous state-of-the-art on various tasks, including monocular 3D reconstruction, as well as albedo and shading estimation. Moreover, we show that the proposed methodology allows novel view synthesis, relighting, and re-posing the reconstruction, and can naturally be extended to handle multiple input images (e.g. different views of a person, or the same view, in different poses, in video). Finally, we demonstrate the editing capabilities of our model for 3D virtual try-on applications.Comment: Accepted at CVPR 2023. PLUM GRAFTING WITH INTERMEDIARY INSIDE PROTECTED SPACES

    Get PDF
This research study was focused on observing the grafting behaviour of two plum varieties, ”Andreea” and ”Tuleu gras”,  grafted in the chip budding and whip and tongue grafting, on Cherry plum T163 and Adaptabil, by using the variants with and without intermediary. The experiment was conducted inside protected spaces (greenhouses). After the period of callusing stimulation at the grafting point the biological material was removed and prepared for planting in the first field of the fruit nursery. At the end of the vegetation period  in the first field of the fruit nursery, the determinations indicated that the grafting success rate in the case of Andreea variety grafted without intermediary on Cherry plum T163 by using the whip and tongue method was identical with the one identified after the callusing stimulation at the grafting point (100%), with high biological material increase

PhoMoH: Implicit Photorealistic 3D Models of Human Heads

We present PhoMoH, a neural network methodology to construct generative models of photo-realistic 3D geometry and appearance of human heads including hair, beards, an oral cavity, and clothing. In contrast to prior work, PhoMoH models the human head using neural fields, thus supporting complex topology. Instead of learning a head model from scratch, we propose to augment an existing expressive head model with new features. Concretely, we learn a highly detailed geometry network layered on top of a mid-resolution head model together with a detailed, local geometry-aware, and disentangled color field. Our proposed architecture allows us to learn photo-realistic human head models from relatively little data. The learned generative geometry and appearance networks can be sampled individually and enable the creation of diverse and realistic human heads. Extensive experiments validate our method qualitatively and across different metrics.Comment: To be published at the International Conference on 3D Vision 202

Prediction and analysis of electricity prices in Spain

    Get PDF
This project it is focused on the analysis of electricity prices in the Spanish market. Firstly, the main characteristics of the Spanish electricity sector will be explained; that includes the market and the different agents involved in it, i.e., energy trading and producer companies, government, etc. Secondly, we will discuss the model that best fit the electricity prices series using the Box-Jenkins analysis; to do so we also take into account other factors that may affect electricity prices, i.e., electricity demand, wind energy production, solar energy production, among others. Thirdly, predictions can be made using the fitted model. The dataset was build using information from the Spanish market operator, also known as OMIE, where we obtain the series of daily electricity prices from 2014 to 2021. On the other hand, we obtain data on inputs that are used to generate electricity from the Red Eléctrica de España (REE).Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresa
