Pendampingan Penggunaan Software Komputasi bagi Guru MGMP Kimia Kota Ternate
Pemanfaatan perangkat lunak kimia komputasi bagi siswa sekolah menengah atas merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam peningkatan pemahaman mereka terkait dengan hal-hal mendasar dari sebuah mekanisme reaksi kimia. Selain itu, pemahaman yang baik juga penting dalam rangka untuk mempersiapkan generasi-generasi yang nantinya lebih siap untuk masuk ke tahapan lanjutan seperti eksperimen yang dilaksanakan di Universitas-universitas atau lembaga penelitian lainnya. Oleh karena itu, proses sosialisasi yang direalisasikan dalam bentuk pelatihan atau workshop dilakukan bagi guru MGMP kimia sekolah menengah atas di kota Ternate. Tujuannya agar ketika diimplementasikan, pemahaman para siswa terkait dengan mekanisme reaksi dapat meningkat. Kegiatan ini, selain tergolong dalam kegiatan yang masih baru di Indonesia, juga merupakan kegiatan yang pertama kali diajukan untuk daerah provinsi Maluku Utara. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan, sebanyak 98% peserta dapat memahami, mengoperasikan, serta mengimplementasikan software komputasi kimia dalam bentuk reaksi sederhana. 
EVALUASI KEBIJAKAN PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN PERTAMBANGAN DI PULAU OBI PROVINSI MALUKU UTARA
Nickel mining activities in Obi Island, North Maluku Province use open-pit techniques, causing environmental problems. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the environmental conditions of the mining area and evaluate the obligations of the government of South Halmahera Regency in preparing and implementing environmental management instruments in accordance with UU No.32/2009. This research is a policy research to evaluate mining activities, using the Haas & Springer evaluation model. The results showed that mining activities in Obi Island, North Maluku Province caused a decrease in the quality of the environment, due to the Government of South Halmahera Regency which was not consistent in protecting and managing the environment, especially in the mining area, this can be seen from the absence of RTRW / RPMJD KLHS Documents, implementation of the UKL / UPL AMDAL that is not yet optimal, and there is no standard for B3 waste management and B3 waste dumping to the environmental media. Thus, the local Regency Government has not been able to implement environmental law policies properly, effectively and efficiently
Nitrate Adsorption capacity of Activated Gamalama Volcanic Ash
The adsorption process of nitrate from an aqueous solution by using activated Gamalama volcanic ash was investigated. Gamalama volcanic ash (VA) was activated with HNO3 2M. The effect of adsorbent mass and initial nitrate concentration on nitrate adsorption were observed in this study. The adsorption process was conducted using a various mass of adsorbent (1 g, 2 g, 4 g, 6 g, and 8 g), various initial concentrations of nitrate (20 mg/L, 30 mg/L,40 mg/L, 50 mg/L, and 60 mg/L). The increasing of adsorbent mass decreased the adsorption capacity was observed. It was also found that the increase in initial concentration increased the adsorption capacity. The highest nitrate adsorption capacity showed by 1 gram adsorbent for 0.167 mg/g, and at nitrate initial concentration 80 mg/L, for 1.831 mg/g. Adsorption isotherm of nitrate on activated VA was determined and figured. These isotherms were modelled according to Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherm
PERBEDAAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMEN DAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONVENSIONAL PADA KONSEP STRUKTUR ATOM SISWA KELAS X SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PULAU MOROTAI
This research aimed to know the result of the students different by using cooperative learning model the teams’ game tournament type and learning conventional model on the structure atom concept at the tenth year of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 morotai Island. The research used experimental research and design research are pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research at the tenth year of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 morotai island that consist of 38 students’ and that were 2 class were take sample of cluster random sample. The Technique of collecting data of this research were take of essay test and technique of analyzing data using statistic anakova testing. The result of this research showed that there was significant by using cooperative learning model teams’ games tournament.
