Anti - theft vehicle security system with preventive action

    Get PDF
Nowadays rate of vehicle theft is very high all through the world and the situation are even worse in developing country. Therefore, protection of vehicles with an intelligent, reliable, effective and economical system is very important. The existing technologies for vehicle security have a number of limitations including high false alarm rate, easy deactivation and high cost. In this research an Anti-Theft Vehicle Security System (ATV2S) has been design and implemented utilizing sensor-network system which employ Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for mobile communication (GSM) technology to track the vehicle. The cutting edge technology of ATV2S is capable to protect, monitor and track the vehicle even within a minute

Design and Implementation of Lightweight Certificateless Secure Communication Scheme on Industrial NFV-Based IPv6 Virtual Networks

    Get PDF
With the fast growth of the Industrial Internet of Everything (IIoE), computing and telecommunication industries all over the world are moving rapidly towards the IPv6 address architecture, which supports virtualization architectures such as Network Function Virtualization (NFV). NFV provides networking services like routing, security, storage, etc., through software-based virtual machines. As a result, NFV reduces equipment costs. Due to the increase in applications on Industrial Internet of Things (IoT)-based networks, security threats have also increased. The communication links between people and people or from one machine to another machine are insecure. Usually, critical data are exchanged over the IoE, so authentication and confidentiality are significant concerns. Asymmetric key cryptosystems increase computation and communication overheads. This paper proposes a lightweight and certificateless end-to-end secure communication scheme to provide security services against replay attacks, man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks, and impersonation attacks with low computation and communication overheads. The system is implemented on Linux-based Lubuntu 20.04 virtual machines using Java programming connected to NFV-based large-scale hybrid IPv4-IPv6 virtual networks. Finally, we compare the performance of our proposed security scheme with existing schemes based on the computation and communication costs. In addition, we measure and analyze the performance of our proposed secure communication scheme over NFV-based virtualized networks with regard to several parameters like end-to-end delay and packet loss. The results of our comparison with existing security schemes show that our proposed security scheme reduces the computation cost by 38.87% and the communication cost by 26.08%

Recovery of Phosphate Minerals from Plant Tailings Using Direct Froth Flotation

    Get PDF
Wastes produced from the phosphate industry presents many challenges due to the high economic and environmental impacts involved with their disposal. However, the relative scarcity of high-grade phosphate ores has driven researchers to recover and recycle these valuable wastes (secondary sources). The goal of this study was to investigate the possibility of upgrading the P2O5 content in tailings produced from a phosphorous production plant using direct froth flotation. Characterization assays, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and mineral liberation analysis (MLA), were first conducted to identify the mineralogical and morphological characteristics of tailings samples and grain properties to better understand the behavior of the flotation feed. Flotation experiments were conducted using Denver D-12 in a 1-L flotation cell in the presence of sodium silicate (dispersant) and sodium oleate (collector). Several parameters, such as the solids content of the flotation pulp, pulp pH and flotation time, were investigated to optimize the recovery and grade of the concentrate products. Results obtained from this study indicated that the P2O5 content in plant tailings could be upgraded from 21.57% to 28.4% at \u3e 73% recovery

Dual function additives: A small molecule crosslinker for enhanced efficiency and stability in organic solar cells

    Get PDF
A bis‐azide‐based small molecule crosslinker is synthesized and evaluated as both a stabilizing and efficiency‐boosting additive in bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaic cells. Activated by a noninvasive and scalable solution processing technique, polymer:fullerene blends exhibit improved thermal stability with suppressed polymer skin formation at the cathode and frustrated fullerene aggregation on ageing, with initial efficiency increased from 6% to 7%

EnglishThis study investigates the impacts of the determinants of Bangladesh export functions on the export flows to the USA during the period of free and floating exchange rate regime in Bangladesh in order to review the Linder hypotheses postulated in the International trade theory in 1961. The gravity-type model was estimated using monthly data for the sample period May 2003 – May 2010. The findings of the study support Linder Hypotheses exactly. Among the coefficient estimates of four variables only one variable is found to be statistically highly significant. And the signs of all variable coefficients are exactly the same as postulated by Linder. Thus, the findings of this study are fully in support of the validation of the Linder\u27s Hypotheses in International trade theory

Design and structural dynamic characteristics of an irregular staircase under earthquake loading

    Get PDF
Reinforced concrete staircases are structurally designed as cantilevered, slab type or beam-slab type. Within this study an irregular cantilevered staircase is studied and its structural dynamic characteristics are explored. An eigen-value modal analysis is performed to determine the mode shapes, their corresponding modal participation factors and natural periods of vibration. The highest modes of interest are identified. Following on that, a scaled record of a previous historical earthquake was applied within a direct integration time-history analysis in order to assess the performance of that irregular stair case under earthquake loading. That load was applied within two perpendicular load cases representing the different possible directions of earthquake vibrations in which the effect of the structure irregularity was assessed per direction. The structure was found to have large drifts creating a need to change the structural system

Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of New 1,2- and 1,4-Bis(N’-Substituted Thioureido)benzene Derivatives

    Get PDF
Synthesis of two series of 1,2- and 1,4-bis(thioureido)benzene derivatives was accomplished by the treatment of corresponding alkanoyl/aroyl chlorides with potassium thiocyanate in dry acetone to afford the respective isothiocyanates as intermediates. The latter were treated in situ with 1,2- and 1,4-diaminobenzene, respectively, to afford the title compounds in high yields. A total of sixteen new compounds are reported herein. The structures of the products were confirmed by spectroscopic techniques (IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectrometry), elemental analysis and in case of 1d, by X-ray diffraction technique. All the synthesized compounds were also subjected to antibacterial bioevaluation against ten different Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterialstrains using levofloxacin as the standard drug and were shown to possess promising activities.KEYWORDS Bis(thioureido)benzene, antibacterial activity, crystal structure
