Understanding Booking Intention of Consumers in Online Short Rental Platforms: Social Presence, Perceived Social Benefits, and Trust

    Get PDF
For studying the whole process of online short rental platform consumers, which start from the attention to the booking intention, this paper based on the social presence theory, analyzed the consumers\u27 online short rental booking intention from the social perspective. Taking the consumers\u27 perceived social benefits and trust as mediators, we explored the process and mechanism of consumers\u27 booking intention on the short rental platform and constructs a research model of consumer online short rental booking intention. Then, the empirical studies have shown that social presence can influence consumers\u27 booking intention by increasing their perceived social benefits and trust. Finally, based on the results, the recommendations of online short rental platform and the host were put forward

Global Earth’s gravity field solution with GRACE orbit and range measurements using modified short arc approach

Traditionally, the Earth’s gravity field model is computed from GRACE orbit and range rate measurements, e.g., in a short arc approach where both the position and the velocity vectors are integrated from a force model. In this contribution, we use the GRACE orbit and range measurements to recover the Earth’s gravity field model, thus we only need to integrate the position vectors. We use the range differences between two adjacent epochs to eliminate the range ambiguities. Using GRACE Level-1B RL02 data released by Jet Propulsion laboratory, the gravity field model TJGRACE02O complete to degree and order 90 is developed from 7 years of reduced dynamic orbits covering the period 2004–2010, and the gravity field model TJGRACE02K complete to degree and order 120 is computed from 1 month of kinematic orbits and K-band range data of January. Comparing the degree geoid errors of our new models with recent gravity field models such as the CHAMP-only models EIGEN-CHAMP05S, AIUB-CHAMP03S, ULUX-CHAMP2013S and the GRACE-only models GGM05S, Tongji-GRACE01 as well as a monthly model from the ITG-GRACE2010 time series, and validating these models with GPS-leveling data sets in the USA, we can conclude that the TJGRACE02O model is more accurate than all the CHAMP-only models and TJGRACE02K is comparable in quality to the corresponding GRACE monthly model from ITG-GRACE2010.Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatic

Influence of Media Richness of E-WOM on Consumers\u27 Mental Imagery and Attitudes

    Get PDF
E-WOM has become a hot research topic. Based on the theory of media richness, this paper divides online reviews into three types according to the degree of e-WOM richness from low to high - text , text + image and text + image + video . From the perspective of mental imagery, this paper explores the consumer attitudes of these three kinds of reviews with different richness. The Experimental data analysis shows that compared with text reviews, text + image reviews have more significant impact on consumers\u27 metal imagery and attitudes; as a form of high richness e-WOM, text + image + video has the most significant impact on consumers\u27 metal imagery and attitudes. This discovery points out several meaningful directions for the further study from the perspective of media richness

An H∞ iterative learning controller is designed for networked systems with intermittent measurements and iteration-varying disturbances. By modeling the measurement dropout as a stochastic variable satisfying the Bernoulli random binary distribution, the design can be transformed into H∞ control of a 2D stochastic system described by Roesser model. A sufficient condition for mean-square asymptotic stability and H∞ disturbance attenuation performance for such 2D stochastic system is established by means of linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, and formulas can be given for the control law design simultaneously. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results

Creation of high mobility two-dimensional electron gases via strain induced polarization at an otherwise nonpolar complex oxide interface

The discovery of two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) in SrTiO3-based heterostructures provides new opportunities for nanoelectronics. Herein, we create a new type of oxide 2DEG by the epitaxial-strain-induced polarization at an otherwise nonpolar perovskite-type interface of CaZrO3/SrTiO3. Remarkably, this heterointerface is atomically sharp, and exhibits a high electron mobility exceeding 60,000 cm2V-1s-1 at low temperatures. The 2DEG carrier density exhibits a critical dependence on the film thickness, in good agreement with the polarization induced 2DEG scheme.Comment: 19 pages, 4 figs; Nano Letters,2015, published onlin

Diluted Oxide Interfaces with Tunable Ground States

The metallic interface between two oxide insulators, such as LaAlO3/SrTiO3 (LAO/STO), provides new opportunities for electronics and spintronics. However, due to the presence of multiple orbital populations, tailoring the interfacial properties such as the ground state and metal-insulator transitions remains challenging. Here, we report an unforeseen tunability of the phase diagram of LAO/STO by alloying LAO with a ferromagnetic LaMnO3 insulator without forming lattice disorder and at the same time without changing the polarity of the system. By increasing the Mn-doping level, x, of LaAl1-xMnxO3/STO, the interface undergoes a Lifshitz transition at x = 0.225 across a critical carrier density of nc= 2.8E13 cm-2, where a peak TSC =255 mK of superconducting transition temperature is observed. Moreover, the LaAl1-xMnxO3 turns ferromagnetic at x >=0.25. Remarkably, at x = 0.3, where the metallic interface is populated by only dxy electrons and just before it becomes insulating, we achieve reproducibly a same device with both signatures of superconductivity and clear anomalous Hall effect. This provides a unique and effective way to tailor oxide interfaces for designing on-demand electronic and spintronic devices.Comment: 18 pages and 6 figure
