Enhancing wireless security via optimal cooperative jamming

    Get PDF
In this work, we analyze the secrecy rate in a cooperative network, where a source node is assisted by relay nodes via cooperative jamming for delivering a secret message to the destination in the presence of an eavesdropper node. We consider the availability of both full and partial channel state information (CSI), and we take into account average power limitation at the relays as we formulate the rate maximization problem as a primal-dual problem. We derive the closed form solution for the full CSI case, and we show that the optimal solution allows the transmission of only one relay. For the partial CSI case, we define the concept of secrecy outage, where some of packets are intercepted by the eavesdropper, and we derive the secrecy outage probability and throughput in terms of average channel statistics. Due to the high nonlinearity of the secrecy throughput term, we propose a gradient update algorithm for obtaining the optimal power solutions for the partial CSI case. Our simulations demonstrate the gains of cooperative jamming over direct transmission for both full and partial CSI cases, where it is shown that the secrecy rate of the direct transmission is increased significantly, by %20−%80, when CJ is employed with our optimal power assignment algorithm

Yunus Abdullah - Use of Social Media by Businesses: A New opportunity For Consulting Services by Accounting Firms

In the last 10 years, social media has been restructuring business policies and practices creating new business models. These models are shaping the internal and external aspects of businesses, improving efficiency, and hopefully yielding higher profits while reducing costs. At the same time, social media is being implemented in such internal operations as employee training, recruiting, communication within organizations, and building business loyalty. Businesses are becoming more dependent on social media, making social media an inevitable expectation of effective business models. The millennial are the new generation of adults who are taking over the business world. This generation of young adults grew up using such social media networks as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google +, and LinkedIn. To sustain good relationship with their clients (millennial), businesses must meet people\u27s expectation of the practices and plan their policies accordingly. This paper will examine how the use of social media by businesses is leading to a new service being offered by accounting firms, social media consulting. Experts in internal controls, accounting firms, will have the resources and capacity to offer services in social media consulting. The large accounting firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst &Young, and PWC have already entered social media consulting market.https://epublications.marquette.edu/mcnair_2013/1006/thumbnail.jp

Firms, international money and prices: a survey of the literature

    Get PDF
Sluggish price adjustments with respect to exchange rate shocks take essentially two forms. Firstly, prices do not adjust completely to neutralize the effects of nominal exchange rate shocks. Secondly, price adjustments after exchange rate shocks only take place in discrete time intervals, in other words they are discontinuous. These two features of price adjustments form our definition of international price rigidities. In this paper we shall present a survey of the empirical and theoretical literature on international price rigidities. We provide the underlying intuition of the theoretical research and present a brief summary of the empirical findings

We prove a general version of \cite[Theorem 4.1]{Boas84} to obtain Sobolev estimates for weighted Bergman projections on convex Reinhardt domains by using the Pr\'ekopa-Leindler inequality.Comment: To appear in Acta Sci. Math. (Szeged

Testing of Stratified Cluster Sampling Technique to Produce Unbiased Estimator for Parameter of Population

This research is done based on the importance testing of sampling technique before the real survey is done. The aim of this research is to test stratified cluster sampling technique in producing unbiased estimator of population. Based on theory, stratified cluster sampling technique is able to produce unbiased estimator. The reserch method used survey technique where the subjects are the whole the twelveth grade ofSenior High School in lubuklinggau and Musi Rawas. The calculation sample shows that the real number of population is 54,45 % whereas the result of sample is 55,5 %with sampling error 0,0464,therefore the samples have estimated parameter of population accuratly
