Virtual Enterprises Risk Management DSS under Electronic Commerce

    Get PDF
Risk management is important to the development of enterprise as well as social-economic prosperity. Virtual enterprise is the potential mode of future enterprise under electronic commerce environment and the risk management for it is a popular research area recently. Due to the complexity of its risk management a decision support system (DSS) with 3-bases-1-cell structure was designed. By coordinating data base, model base, algorithm base and dialogue cell, the functions of project management, risk identification, risk assessment, risk evaluation and risk programming was supported. The user-friendly system has such main characteristics as generality for verity virtual enterprise as well as different projects and the flexibility of model and algorithm, ensuring a standardized, scientific and informational risk management for virtual enterprises

Virtual enterprise is the potential mode of future enterprise under global economic environment and the risk management for it is a popular research area recently. Risk identification is the key phrase of risk management. Considering the risk identification problem in the virtual enterprise, a new identification method based on the BP network is provided in this paper. Using this method and the data related to the problem, the possible to take place of the risks could be obtained by training the neural network, so that risks can be investigated in time and managed effectively. The simulation results prove its validit

    PD1-based DNA vaccine amplifies HIV-1 GAG-specific CD8+ T cells in mice

Viral vector-based vaccines that induce protective CD8+ T cell immunity can prevent or control pathogenic SIV infections, but issues of preexisting immunity and safety have impeded their implementation in HIV-1. Here, we report the development of what we believe to be a novel antigen-targeting DNA vaccine strategy that exploits the binding of programmed death-1 (PD1) to its ligands expressed on dendritic cells (DCs) by fusing soluble PD1 with HIV-1 GAG p24 antigen. As compared with non-DC-targeting vaccines, intramuscular immunization via electroporation (EP) of the fusion DNA in mice elicited consistently high frequencies of GAG-specific, broadly reactive, polyfunctional, long-lived, and cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and robust anti-GAG antibody titers. Vaccination conferred remarkable protection against mucosal challenge with vaccinia GAG viruses. Soluble PD1-based vaccination potentiated CD8+ T cell responses by enhancing antigen binding and uptake in DCs and activation in the draining lymph node. It also increased IL-12-producing DCs and engaged antigen cross-presentation when compared with anti-DEC205 antibody-mediated DC targeting. The high frequency of durable and protective GAG-specific CD8+ T cell immunity induced by soluble PD1-based vaccination suggests that PD1-based DNA vaccines could potentially be used against HIV-1 and other pathogens.published_or_final_versio

Selection of solar energy for green building using superiority and inferiority multi-criteria ranking (SIR) method

Green energy is one of the key factors, driving down electricity bill and zero carbon emission generating electricity to green building. However, the climate change and environmental policies are accelerating people to use renewable energy instead of coal-fired (convention type) energy for green building that energy is not environmental friendly. Therefore, solar energy is one of the clean energy solving environmental impact and paying less in electricity fee. The method of solar energy is collecting sun from solar array and saves in battery from which provides necessary electricity to whole house with zero carbon emission. However, in the market a lot of solar arrays suppliers, the aims of this paper attempted to use superiority and inferiority multi-criteria ranking (SIR) method with 13 constraints establishing I-flows and S-flows matrices to evaluate four alternatives solar energies and determining which alternative is the best, providing power to sustainable building. Furthermore, SIR is well-known structured approach of multi-criteria decision support tools and gradually used in construction and building. The outcome of this paper significantly gives an indication to user selecting solar energy

A hierarchical multi-view modeling for Networked Joint Manufacturing System

Nowadays enterprises have to reduce manufacturing costs and increase products quality through partnerships in order to distribute their production activities with experts worldwide. The distributed activities, if managed properly, can reduce costs, increase manufacturing flexibility and efficiency, as well as avoids short-term local economic fluctuations. These arrangements lead to a new format of collaboration, very different from previous models for cross-enterprises cooperation such as Joint Venture (JV). Apart from financial aspects, the collaborations in manufacturing process have to be intensified and involve much more operational details of individual partner. In this paper, a new reference model of Networked Joint Manufacturing System (NJMS) is proposed for enterprise to benefit from the cross-enterprises collaboration at the tactical level. The NJMS incorporates a federation model for integrating independent enterprises together based on business logic perspectives rather than information integration. A representation method for the NJMS called Hierarchical Multi-View Model (HMVM) has been developed. This representation method provides manufacturing enterprises a multiple angle or view to approach the NJMS so as to simplify its implementation by reducing the complexity of defining system objectives or requirements

Development of dynamic flow line-monitoring technique to enhance system transparency

Unpredictable dynamic issues often occur in production activities. Identifying overall operating status is important to trigger the required response, since fluctuations can have a significant effect on logistics-associated functions. However, there are substantial obstacles to getting a good overview of the entire plant operation. Consequently, only piecemeal data are gathered and it is difficult to avoid interpretation discrepancies arising from data filtering. Such a scenario may even introduce negative effects into a system. Traditionally, system dynamics approaches feed signals back to a constructed model and use the difference to drive the system to a balanced stage. For manufacturing management, by recognising the characteristics of the element flows inside a system, it is possible to deduce the process's healthiness. This paper presents a technique to identify the dynamic changes along a flow line-type production.Department of Industrial and Systems Engineerin
