    The neutral top-pion and the lepton flavor violating ZZ decays Z→liljZ\to l_{i}l_{j}

    Full text link
    Taking into account the constraints of the present experimental limit of the process μ→eγ\mu\to e\gamma on the free parameters of topcolor-assisted technicolor(TC2) models, we calculate the contributions of the neutral top-pion to the lepton flavor violating(LFV) ZZ decays Z→liljZ\to l_{i}l_{j}. Our results show that the value of the branching ratio Br(Z→τl)Br(Z\to \tau l) is larger than that of Br(Z→μe)Br(Z\to \mu e) in all of the parameter space and there is Br(Z→τμ)≈Br(Z→τe)≃2×10−14Br(Z\to \tau\mu)\approx Br(Z\to \tau e)\simeq 2\times 10^{-14} , which is far from the reach of present or future experiments.Comment: 12 pages and 3 figures. Optimal teleportation via thermal entangled states of a two-qubit Heisenberg Chain

    Full text link
    We study the optimal teleportation based on Bell measurements via the thermal states of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXX chain in the presence of Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and obtain the optimal unitary transformation. The explicit expressions of the output state and the teleportation fidelity are presented and compared with those of the standard protocol. It is shown that in this protocol the teleportation fidelity is always larger and unit fidelity is achieved at zero temperature. The DM interaction can enhance the teleportation fidelity at finite temperatures, as opposed to the effect of the interaction in the standard protocol. Cases with other types of anisotropies are also discussed.Comment: Accepted by EP

    Three-body interactions on a triangular lattice

    Full text link
    We analyze the hard-core Bose-Hubbard model with both the three-body and nearest neighbor repulsions on the triangular lattice. The phase diagram is achieved by means of the semi-classical approximation and the quantum Monte Carlo simulation. For a system with only the three-body interactions, both the supersolid phase and one third solid disappear while the two thirds solid stably exists. As the thermal behavior of the bosons with nearest neighbor repulsion, the solid and the superfluid undergo the 3-state Potts and the Kosterlitz-Thouless type phase transitions, respectively. In a system with both the frustrated nearest neighbor two-body and three-body interactions, the supersolid and one third solid revive. By tuning the strength of the three-body interactions, the phase diagram is distorted, because the one-third solid and the supersolid are suppressed.Comment: 6 pages, 11 figure

    Hypergraph Neural Networks

    Full text link
    In this paper, we present a hypergraph neural networks (HGNN) framework for data representation learning, which can encode high-order data correlation in a hypergraph structure. Confronting the challenges of learning representation for complex data in real practice, we propose to incorporate such data structure in a hypergraph, which is more flexible on data modeling, especially when dealing with complex data. In this method, a hyperedge convolution operation is designed to handle the data correlation during representation learning. In this way, traditional hypergraph learning procedure can be conducted using hyperedge convolution operations efficiently. HGNN is able to learn the hidden layer representation considering the high-order data structure, which is a general framework considering the complex data correlations. We have conducted experiments on citation network classification and visual object recognition tasks and compared HGNN with graph convolutional networks and other traditional methods. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed HGNN method outperforms recent state-of-the-art methods. We can also reveal from the results that the proposed HGNN is superior when dealing with multi-modal data compared with existing methods.Comment: Accepted in AAAI'201

    Linear active disturbance rejection control of waste heat recovery systems with organic Rankine cycles

    Get PDF
    In this paper, a linear active disturbance rejection controller is proposed for a waste heat recovery system using an organic Rankine cycle process, whose model is obtained by applying the system identification technique. The disturbances imposed on the waste heat recovery system are estimated through an extended linear state observer and then compensated by a linear feedback control strategy. The proposed control strategy is applied to a 100 kW waste heat recovery system to handle the power demand variations of grid and process disturbances. The effectiveness of this controller is verified via a simulation study, and the results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can provide satisfactory tracking performance and disturbance rejection
