The rumble strips phenomena in Indonesia aims to decrease speed and vibration effect for vehicles. Actually, the use of rumble strips in the Bengkalis island is not optimal, as does not reduce the speed of vehicles and always ignore the effect of the trill inflicted in the rumble strips for reasons of getting high speed and the less effect shakes posed. The purpose of this research is to find the shockwave on the road by using Greenshields method. Base on the result of this research, shockwave value as big as -30,299 km/h indicated the increase of vehicles in the rumble strips

This experiment was carried out at Gambung Experimental Station from January till June 1993. The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of Agro King 2000 concentration compare with Gemari 2 ml L-1 and intervals application on tea cutting node growth. The experiment was arranged in Factorial Randomized Block Design. It consisted of two factors and three replications. The first factor was Agro King 2000 concentrations 1 ml L -1, 2 mL -1, 3 ml L -1 , 4 ml L-1, and 2 ml Gemari L-1 as control. The second factor was Gemari and Agro King interval applications at 2, 3 and 4 weeks application. . Interval application treatments and various concentrations of Agro King 2000 and Gemari and the interaction of both treatments did not significantly affect on all tea cutting node growth variables. It means Gemari and Agro King can be used for tea cutting node. This experiment suggested that 2 mIL-1 Gemari or 1 miL-1 Agro King2000 for every 4 weeks could be used for tea cutting node

ANALYSIS OF PIG LIVESTOCK BUSINESS INCOME IN TOMBULU DISTRICT MINAHASA REGENCY. The study was conducted in the Tombulu District of Minahasa Regency for one month from January 2020 to February 2020.The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. The puposive sampling method was applied to determine the sample location in Tombulu District with the number of breeders in Tombulu District were 30 breeders. Therefore, the determination of the sample applied Total Quota Sampling technique. Pigs livestock business models run by breeders were breeding, fattening, combination, and swine pigs. The result showed models that the dominant pig livestock business in Tombulu District was a combination of breeding and fattening. The income earned from the pig livestock business is Rp.39,207,785 / period or Rp3,920,778 / month. The amount of production, feed costs, and social costs are factors that were very influential on the business income of pig livestock

Anoa is Indonesia endemic fauna that included into Appendix I by CITES. Anoa breeding efforts have not succeed, due to their agressivity, soliter, wildness and monogamous. The aim of this experiment was to observe morphology and biometry of anoa's sperm stained using William's (W) and eosin-nigrosin (EN). Semen was collected from two male anoas by electroejaculator. Slides was made for morphology and biometry observation of ejaculate. The results showed that abnormal sperm morphology of the mature anoa (10 years) was 32.27%-35.00%, meanwhile the young one (3 years) was 24.03%-31.89%. In mature anoa, measurement for head width, and midpiece and tail length of sperm were not signficantly different between W and EN staining, but significantly different (P < 0.05) for head and total length. In the young anoa, sperm biometry for head width was not significanly different between W and EN staining. In both W and EN staining, biometry for head width and total length were not significantly different between mature and young anoas, but significantly different for head, midpiece and tail length. According to sperm morphology, semen from the young anoa was slightly better than those of the mature anoa. Staining method and age could affect to biometry of the anoa's sperm

Lesser mouse deer is a native animal, which is commonly found in the forest of Java and information concerning this animal is still limited. This research explored the quality of lesser mouse deer meat (Tragulus javanicus). Eight lesser mouse deer (four females and four males) were used in quality aspects of lesser mouse deer meat. The physical properties observed were pH, water holding capacity, tenderness, and cooking loss. While the chemical properties observed were proximate analysis, amino acids, fatty acids, cholesterol, and EPA-DHA of the meat. The results showed that meat samples had average of ultimate pH (6.32), water holding capacity (32.82%), tenderness (1.80 kg f/m2), and cooking loss (45.15%). The average meat chemical compositions namely content of water, protein, fat, ash and cholesterol were 76.33%, 21.42%, 0.51%, 1.20%, and 50.00 mg/100 g, respectively. Fatty acids consisted of lauric, miristic, palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acid were in the amount of 1.04% 3.09%, 30.97%, 0.77%, 59.41%, 3.22%, and 1.12%, respectively. The total EPA and DHA was 0.13% and 0.05%. Respectively, the results showed that quality aspects of  lesser mouse deer meat had a high ultimate pH, low water holding capacity, tenderness, high cooking loss, and high water content, high protein, low fat and high cholesterol

Direct Detection of Dark Matter in the MSSM with Non-Universal Higgs Masses

We calculate dark matter scattering rates in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), allowing the soft supersymmetry-breaking masses of the Higgs multiplets, m_{1,2}, to be non-universal (NUHM). Compared with the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) in which m_{1,2} are required to be equal to the soft supersymmetry-breaking masses m_0 of the squark and slepton masses, we find that the elastic scattering cross sections may be up to two orders of magnitude larger than values in the CMSSM for similar LSP masses. We find the following preferred ranges for the spin-independent cross section: 10^{-6} pb \ga \sigma_{SI} \ga 10^{-10} pb, and for the spin-dependent cross section: 10^{-3} pb \ga \sigma_{SD}, with the lower bound on \sigma_{SI} dependent on using the putative constraint from the muon anomalous magnetic moment. We stress the importance of incorporating accelerator and dark matter constraints in restricting the NUHM parameter space, and also of requiring that no undesirable vacuum appear below the GUT scale. In particular, values of the spin-independent cross section another order of magnitude larger would appear to be allowed, for small \tan \beta, if the GUT vacuum stability requirement were relaxed, and much lower cross-section values would be permitted if the muon anomalous magnetic moment constraint were dropped.Comment: 30 pages LaTeX, 40 eps figure

    Constraining Supersymmetry

We review constraints on the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) coming from direct searches at accelerators such as LEP, indirect measurements such as b -> s gamma decay and the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The recently corrected sign of pole light-by-light scattering contributions to the latter is taken into account. We combine these constraints with those due to the cosmological density of stable supersymmetric relic particles. The possible indications on the supersymmetric mass scale provided by fine-tuning arguments are reviewed critically. We discuss briefly the prospects for future accelerator searches for supersymmetry.Comment: 21 LaTeX pages, 9 eps figures, Invited Contribution to the New Journal of Physics Focus Issue on Supersymmetr
