    Deliberate design of specific and sensitive molecular probes with distinctive physical/chemical properties for analyte sensing is of great significance. Herein, by taking advantage of the position-dependent substituent effects, an aggregation-induced emission featured iron (III) probe from ortho-substituted pyridinyl-functionalized tetraphenylethylene (TPE-o-Py) is synthesized. It displays high sensitivity and selectivity toward iron (III) detection. The recognition arises from the position isomer of ortho-substitution, and the fact that TPE-o-Py has a low acid dissociation constant (pKa) that is close to that of hydrolyzed Fe3+. Importantly, TPE-o-Py as a light-up fluorescence probe could be employed for Fe3+sensing in living cells with a pronounced red-shift in fluorescence emission

    IntroductionThe construction of digital villages is widely acknowledged as a way to achieve the “dual goals” of high quality of the agricultural and rural economy and common prosperity under the digital China strategy. Studies have explored the socio-economic benefits of different aspects of rural digitization, but few have focused on the productivity role of rural broadband development in the context of the urban-rural broadband divide. The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between rural broadband development and agricultural total factor productivity (TFP) and the intrinsic mechanism of action, and to provide empirical evidence on the productivity effect of promoting digital transformation in rural agriculture.MethodsUsing panel data from 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020, this paper investigates the impact and mechanism of rural broadband development on agricultural TFP from the perspective of agriculture-related loans by setting up a two-way fixed effects model, a mechanism effects model and a threshold effects model.ResultsThe results find that rural broadband development has a significant role in enhancing agricultural TFP. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the productivity-enhancing effect of rural broadband development is remarkable only in the central region and the region with higher rural disposable income. Mechanism analysis points out that rural broadband development can increase agricultural TFP by influencing the share of farm-related loans. Threshold analysis further reveals that the role of increasing the share of farm-related loans on agricultural TFP is marked only after rural broadband development reaches a certain level.DiscussionThese findings can provide practical guidance for other developing countries in accelerating the digital transformation of villages and optimizing factor allocation to achieve high-quality agricultural development.</p

    To examine the residues and distributions of tetracycline antibiotics in Weihe basin, SPE-UPLC (solid phase extraction-ultra performance liquid chromatography) was employed to analyze the Oxytetracycline (OTC), Chlortetracycline (CTC) and Minocycline (MC) of 41 surface water and 35 sediment samples collected from main streams, tributaries and main <a>sewage outlets</a>. The Results showed that (1) The order of residual levels of tetracycline antibiotics in water and sediment from high to low was following: OTC>CTC>MC. The concentrations of OTC in water and sediment were in the range of 1.56-87.89 ng/L and 6.13-45.38 ng/g (mean value of 16.13 ng/L and 20.60 ng/g), respectively; while CTC was 1.07-26.78 ng/L and 6.17-32.29 ng/g (mean value of 4.96 ng/L and 14.48 ng/g), respectively; and MC was 0.28-12.35 ng/L and 4.80-29.74 ng/g (mean value of 1.70 ng/L and 12.96 ng/g), respectively. There were maximum concentrations in all sewage outlets. Compared with other areas in China, tetracyclines residues in Weihe basin was at a medium level; (2) In spatial distribution, the levels of tetracyclines in water and sediment from the middle and upper reaches were higher than the lower reaches. Meanwhile, the sewage outfalls and livestock farm waste water discharge were main sources of tetracycline antibiotics in Weihe basin; (3) Ecological risk assessment revealed that in main streams and tributaries, OTC and CTC may be at low ecological risk level; while in sewage outfalls, they may be at medium ecological risk level

We have used three variables, including the ICT index, individuals using the internet, and mobile subscribers, to represent ICT and three indices, including the financial development index, financial institution index, and financial market index, to make our results reliable and robust. We utilized a GMM method for conducting the empirical analysis. Generally, our results imply that ICT diffusion positively impacts financial development in high-income economies and negatively impacts middle and low-income economies. Our findings suggest that middle- and low-income-economy policymakers should follow the footprint of the high-income economies and increase the role of ICT in the financial sector for its development.</div
