    Transport properties of dense deuterium-tritium plasmas

    Consistent descriptions of the equation of states, and information about transport coefficients of deuterium-tritium mixture are demonstrated through quantum molecular dynamic (QMD) simulations (up to a density of 600 g/cm3^{3} and a temperature of 10410^{4} eV). Diffusion coefficients and viscosity are compared with one component plasma model in different regimes from the strong coupled to the kinetic one. Electronic and radiative transport coefficients, which are compared with models currently used in hydrodynamic simulations of inertial confinement fusion, are evaluated up to 800 eV. The Lorentz number is also discussed from the highly degenerate to the intermediate region.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure

    Protective effect of Acorus tatarinowii extract against alzheimer in 3xTg-AD mice

    Purpose: To investigate the protective effect of Acorus tatarinowii extract (ATE) against Alzheimer's disease in 3xTg-AD mice. Method: The cognitive function of 3xTg-AD mice was assessed using Morris water maze test. The levels of the amyloid beta deposits and NeuN in the hippocampus were evaluated by immunohistochemical assay while brain neurotrophic derived factor (BDNF) and tyrosine kinase B (TrkB) expressions were determined by western blot analysis. Results: ATE treatment significantly ameliorated learning and memory deficits in AD mice, as shown by increased time spent in the target zone during probe tests. The escape latency in animals treated with 600 mg/kg ATE (24.8 ± 1.3 s) was significantly increased relative to ontreated 3xTg-AD mice (8.5 ± 1.0 s, p < 0.01). In addition, ATE significantly decreased Aβ deposits, increased NeuN-positive cells, and upregulated the expression of BDNF (1.9 ± 0.4, p < 0.05) and TrkB (1.9 ± 0.2, p < 0.05) in 3xTg AD mice. Conclusion: These results suggest that ATE treatment may be a useful strategy for managing memory impairment induced by several neurodegenerative diseases

    HybridPoint: Point Cloud Registration Based on Hybrid Point Sampling and Matching

    Patch-to-point matching has become a robust way of point cloud registration. However, previous patch-matching methods employ superpoints with poor localization precision as nodes, which may lead to ambiguous patch partitions. In this paper, we propose a HybridPoint-based network to find more robust and accurate correspondences. Firstly, we propose to use salient points with prominent local features as nodes to increase patch repeatability, and introduce some uniformly distributed points to complete the point cloud, thus constituting hybrid points. Hybrid points not only have better localization precision but also give a complete picture of the whole point cloud. Furthermore, based on the characteristic of hybrid points, we propose a dual-classes patch matching module, which leverages the matching results of salient points and filters the matching noise of non-salient points. Experiments show that our model achieves state-of-the-art performance on 3DMatch, 3DLoMatch, and KITTI odometry, especially with 93.0% Registration Recall on the 3DMatch dataset.     Effect of three kinds of anaesthetic drugs on postoperative recovery, regulatory T cells and T lymphoid cells in elderly patients

    Purpose: To investigate the effect of three anaesthetic drugs on postoperative recovery, regulatory T cells and T cell subset levels in elderly patients.Methods: The patients were randomly divided into groups A, B and C (42 patients per group). Group A received intravenous remifentanil, dexamethasone, dexmedetomidine and propofol, followed by continuous intraoperative inhalation of sevoflurane and continuous intravenous pumping of remifentanil. Group B was given intravenous propofol and midazolam, followed by continuous intraoperative inhalation of sevoflurane, while Group C received intravenous etomidate and rocuronium, with continuous intraoperative inhalation of sevoflurane. The preoperative or 24-h postoperative T regulatory cells (CD4+ CD25+) and T cell subsets (CD4+ and CD8+) were determined for each group.Results: MMSE scores in the three groups were lower than their pre-operation scores (p < 0.05). There were significant reductions in 24-h postoperative serum CD4+ CD25+ and CD4+ levels, with higher reductions in group B (p < 0.05). In contrast, CD8+ increased in all groups, but was lower in group B than in the other two groups (p < 0.05).Conclusion: These findings strongly suggest that propofol, midazolam and sevoflurane have rapid onset of action and recovery, which improves the comfort of patients while decreasing negative impact on the function of the immune system. Furthermore, these anaesthetic agents enhance the recovery of elderly patients.Keywords: Anaesthesia, Cognitive function, Regulatory T cells, T cell subset

    Variation of the Jovian Magnetopause Under Constant Solar Wind Conditions: Significance of Magnetodisc Dynamics

    It is generally believed that variations in the upstream solar wind (SW) and interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions are the main cause of changes of Jupiter's magnetopause (JM) location. However, most previous pressure balance models for the JM are axisymmetric and do not consider internal drivers, for example, the dynamics of the magnetodisc. We use three-dimensional global magnetosphere simulations to investigate the variation of the JM under constant SW/IMF conditions. These simulations show that even without variations in the upstream driving conditions, the JM can exhibit dynamic variations, suggesting a range as large as 50 Jupiter radii in the subsolar location. Our study shows that the interchange structures in the Jovian magnetodisc will introduce significant radial dynamic pressure, which can drive significant variation in the JM location. The results provide important new context for interpreting the JM location and dynamics, with key implications for other internally mass-loaded and/or rapidly rotating systems

    Air pollution control or economic development? Empirical evidence from enterprises with production restrictions

    Production restriction is an environmental regulation adopted in China to curb the air pollution of industrial enterprises. Frequent production restrictions may cause economic losses for enterprises and further hinder their green transformation. Polluting enterprises are faced with the dilemma of choosing environmental protection or economic development. Using panel data on industrial enterprises in China from 2016 to 2019, this paper evaluates the impact of production restrictions on both enterprises' environmental and economic performance with regression models. The results show that production restrictions significantly drop the concentrations of SO2 and NOx emitted from polluting enterprises. Meanwhile, production restrictions have significant negative effects on operating income, financial expenses, net profit, and environmental protection investment. The mechanism analysis reveals that production restrictions mitigate air pollutant concentrations by increasing the number of green patents and improving total factor productivity, which also verifies the Porter hypothesis. However, there is a masking mediating effect of environmental investment, which indicates that the reduction of environmental investment hinders the enterprise's efforts to control air pollution. In addition, heterogeneous analysis shows that the economic shock on microenterprises is larger than that on small enterprises. Implementing production restrictions for microenterprises may be a way to eliminate their backwards production capacity
