Sequential Hybrid Beamforming Design for Multi-Link mmwave Communication

In this paper, we propose a sequential hybrid beamforming design for multi-link transmission over mmwave frequency bands. As a starting point, a baseline data communication link is established via traditional analog beamforming at both the BS and UE. If an extra RF chain is available at the UE, it can continue to probe the propagation environment at the same frequencies. In case the environment is favorable and system resources allow, a secondary data communication link is established to enable multi-stream transmission. In principle, the secondary link could be served by the same BS and/or one or several other BS(s). To initialize the secondary data communication link, a parallel beam search scheme is proposed, which helps the UE/BS to find a suitable beam pair with given optimization criteria without interrupting the baseline data communication. By applying the proposed two-step approach, hybrid beamforming becomes an add-on feature that can be easily switched on over an analog beamforming enabled system without interrupting its operation whenever system requires. Meanwhile, the information obtained by deploying the proposed parallel beam search scheme can also be used for deciding a back-up beam pair if signal blockage occurs to the baseline data communication link

Although CSR has been the subject of substantial academic research for more than half a century, the CSR literature is dominated by empirical studies in the industrialized countries. There is limited knowledge on how CSR is perceived and implemented by companies in developing countries. This research is trying to answer those questions: what has been reported in China? Which stakeholder groups are the most important stakeholder groups in China? What is the content of CSR reports in China? And what factors are associated with CSR reporting in China, in terms of culture, political and legal system, ownership, size and industry? Based on a content analysis approach, this paper aims to identify the determinants of corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting in China using stand-alone reports of the top 500 Chinese companies from 2006 to 2010. It is found that CSR reporting is positively associated with various factors. In addition, companies in environmental sensitive industries tend to report more environmental responsibility information than others. State-Owned Enterprises are not doing better than other types of companies. Laws, regulations or guidelines have little impacts on the reporting in China. Also the government is not one of the most important stakeholders in China. The research results support the stakeholder theory in an emerging market with important and relevant insights for enterprise managers interested in exploiting the reports as a tool to communicate with their stakeholders

After Chinese Culture Revolution, the brand new chapter was approaching which opened for the modern Chinese art history; Chinese contemporary art has been deepened understanding by the art market. In the context of an emerging market, art is as much a matter of cultural economy as socio-politics. Thus the thesis will focus on the challenges facing the market and how tradition and economics providing the framework for the sustainability of art market. It will present a historical overview of emergence of Chinese contemporary art the period of 2000 to 2015 and expose the unbreakable bind between the development of its contemporary art and government policies, law, and society in China. As one of the most important and largest emerging art markets, what are the key trends in the Chinese art market from 2006 to 2011? This question serves as the main research question that guides throughout this research. To answer this question, research at three levels is unfolded, with regards to the functioning of the Chinese art market, the geographical shift from west to east, and the market performance of contemporary Chinese art. As the most vibrant art category, contemporary Chinese art is chosen as the focal art sector in the empirical part since its transaction cover both the Western and Eastern art market and it really took off at secondary art market since 2006, in line with the booming period of the Chinese art market. This study penetrates through the thriving scene of the Chinese art market, fills part of the gap by presenting an in-depth analysis of its market structure, and depicts the route of development. To explore what the future of Chinese contemporary art from the market point of view and on the challenges facing the market
