    Research on The Optimization Strategy of Cross-border B2B Supply Chain with Service Cost Information Sharing

    The development of cross-border e-commerce highlights the importance of service integration and information sharing. This paper considers a cross-border B2B supply chain which consists of a local manufacturer and a foreign trade service integrator. The service integrator holds the service cost structure as private information. The optimal decisions and maximum expected profits of the manufacturer and service integrator are analyzed under two scenarios:no information sharing versus information sharing. The paper finds that information sharing always benefit the manufacturer but not for the service integrator. In the meanwhile, the value of information is increased with the manufacturer’s forecast uncertainty about the service integrator’s service cost. The whole supply chain can get pareto improvement through the Nash bargaining mechanism

    An Accountability Scheme for Oblivious RAMs

    In outsourced data services, revealing users’ data access pattern may lead to the exposure of a wide range of sensitive information even if data is encrypted. Oblivious RAM has been a well-studied provable solution to access pattern preservation. However, it is not resilient to attacks towards data integrity from the users or the server. In this paper, we study the problem of protecting access pattern privacy and data integrity together in outsourced data services, and propose a scheme that introduces accountability support into a hash-based ORAM design. The proposed scheme can detect misconduct committed by malicious users or server, and identify the attacker, while not interfering with the access pattern preservation mechanisms inherent from the underlying ORAM. This is accomplished at the cost of slightly increased computational, storage, and communication overheads compared with the original ORAM

    Direct observation of significant hot carrier cooling suppression in a two-dimensional silicon phononic crystal

    Finding hot carrier cooling suppression in new material structures is fundamentally important for developing promising technological applications. These phenomenona have not been reported for crystalline silicon phononic crystals. Herein, we experimentally design two-dimensional (2D) silicon samples consisting of airy hole arrays in a crystalline silicon matrix. For reference, the determined hot carrier cooling times were 0.45 ps and 0.37 ps, respectively, at probe wavelengths of 1080 nm and 1100 nm. Surprisingly, when the 2D structured silicon possessed the properties of a phononic crystal, significant suppression of hot carrier cooling was observed. In these cases, the observed hot carrier cooling times were as long as 15.9 ps and 10.7 ps at probe wavelengths of 1080 nm and 1100 nm, respectively, indicating prolongation by orders of magnitude. This remarkable enhancement was also observed with other probe wavelengths. The present work presents experimental evidence for hot carrier cooling suppression in 2D silicon phononic crystals and opens opportunities for promising applications
