VoxRec : hybrid convolutional neural network for active 3D object recognition
Deep Neural Network methods have been used to a variety of challenges in automatic 3D recognition. Although discovered techniques provide many advantages in comparison with conventional methods, they still suffer from different drawbacks, e.g., a large number of pre-processing stages and time-consuming training. In this paper, an innovative approach has been suggested for recognizing 3D models. It contains encoding 3D point clouds, surface normal, and surface curvature, merge them to provide more effective input data, and train it via a deep convolutional neural network on Shapenetcore dataset. We also proposed a similar method for 3D segmentation using Octree coding method. Finally, comparing the accuracy with some of the state-of-the-art demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed method

Expression of unprocessed glutelin precursor alters polymerization without affecting trafficking and accumulation
Rice glutelin is synthesized as a precursor in the endosperm endoplasmic reticulum and then deposited within the protein storage vacuole protein body-II (PB-II) as an aggregate, with a high degree of polymerized higher-order structure comprising mature acidic and basic subunits after post-translation processing cleavage. In order to investigate the functional role of this processing and its effect on folding assembly, wild-type GluA2 and its mutant cDNA (mGluA2), in which the conserved processing site (Asn-Gly) at the junction between the acidic and basic chains was replaced with Ala-Ala, were expressed under the control of the endosperm-specific GluB1 promoter in the mutant rice a123 line lacking glutelin GluA1, GluA2, and GluB4. The mGluA2 precursor was synthesized and stably targeted to PB-II without processing in the transgenic rice seeds like the wild-type GluA2. Notably, the saline-soluble mGluA2 precursor assembled with the other type of processed glutelin GluB as a trimer in PB-II, although such hetero-assembly with GluB was not detected in the transformant containing the processed GluA. Furthermore, the mGluA2 precursor in the glutelin fraction was deposited in PB-II by forming a quite different complex from the processed mature GluA2 products. These results indicate that post-translational processing of glutelin is not necessary for trafficking and stable accumulation in PB-II, but is required for the formation of the higher-order structure required for stacking in PB-II
Observations of the post shock break-out emission of SN 2011dh with XMM-Newton
After the occurrence of the type cIIb SN 2011dh in the nearby spiral galaxy M
51 numerous observations were performed with different telescopes in various
bands ranging from radio to gamma-rays. We analysed the XMM-Newton and Swift
observations taken 3 to 30 days after the SN explosion to study the X-ray
spectrum of SN 2011dh. We extracted spectra from the XMM-Newton observations,
which took place ~7 and 11 days after the SN. In addition, we created
integrated Swift/XRT spectra of 3 to 10 days and 11 to 30 days. The spectra are
well fitted with a power-law spectrum absorbed with Galactic foreground
absorption. In addition, we find a harder spectral component in the first
XMM-Newton spectrum taken at t ~ 7 d. This component is also detected in the
first Swift spectrum of t = 3 - 10 d. While the persistent power-law component
can be explained as inverse Compton emission from radio synchrotron emitting
electrons, the harder component is most likely bremsstrahlung emission from the
shocked stellar wind. Therefore, the harder X-ray emission that fades away
after t ~ 10 d can be interpreted as emission from the shocked circumstellar

Fluctuation Study of the Specific Heat of MgB2
The specific heat of polycrystalline MgB has been measured with
high resolution ac calorimetry from 5 to 45 K at constant magnetic fields. The
excess specific heat above T is discussed in terms of Gaussian
fluctuations and suggests that MgB is a bulk superconductor with
Ginzburg-Landau coherence length \AA . The transition-width
broadening in field is treated in terms of lowest-Landau-level (LLL)
fluctuations. That analysis requires that \AA . The underestimate
of the coherence length in field, along with deviations from 3D LLL
predictions, suggest that there is an influence from the anisotropy of B

Inflammatory cloacogenic polyps in children: diagnostic yield of rectal retroflexion during colonoscopy
Abstract
Background and aims
Inflammatory cloacogenic polyps (ICPs) are inflammatory lesions occurring around the anal transitional zone. These are rare in the pediatric population, and most reported cases are found in adults. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of rectal retroflexion (RR) during colonoscopy in detecting ICPs in children.
Methods
A total of 1837 colonoscopies were performed in 1278 children between September 2003 and August 2020 at the Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. The laboratory test results and colonoscopic and histopathological findings were retrospectively reviewed. ICP was detected using the RR and was diagnosed based on the histologic findings of the polyp.
Results
A total of 69 patients were diagnosed with juvenile polyps (n = 62) or ICP (n = 7), with the latter being detected through RR. All children with ICP were diagnosed from 2013 onwards when RR during colonoscopy came to be routinely performed in our medical center. The patients with ICP were older at diagnosis and more associated with a family history of colorectal polyps than JP. Stool occult blood and the polyps endoscopic characteristics, such as number, location, volume, and shape, significantly varied between the two groups. Additionally, there was a statistically significant difference in the polypectomy method. During the long-term follow-up, there was no recurrence of ICP.
Conclusions
Due to their location at the anorectal junction, ICPs may be overlooked during colonoscopy, leading to misdiagnosis. Therefore, a retroflexion view during colonoscopy may help detect ICPs in pediatric patients, especially those presenting with hematochezia
Nonlinear Dynamics of Domain Wall Propagation in Epitaxial Ferroelectric Thin Films
We investigated the ferroelectric domain wall propagation in epitaxial
Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 thin films over a wide temperature range (3 - 300 K). We measured
the domain wall velocity under various electric fields and found that the
velocity data is strongly nonlinear with electric fields, especially at low
temperature. We found that, as one of surface growth problems, our domain wall
velocity data from ferroelectric epitaxial film could be classified into the
creep, depinning, and flow regimes due to competition between disorder and
elasticity. The measured values of velocity and dynamical exponents indicate
that the ferroelectric domain walls in the epitaxial films are fractal and
pinned by a disorder-induced local field.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
