Peningkatan Efek Antihipertensi Kaptopril Oleh Ekstrak Etanol Daun Belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa Bilimbi L.) Pada Tikus Hipertensi Yang Diinduksi Monosodium Glutamat
Hypertension is one of the degenerative disease of health problem in among people. Bilimbi leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) is one of plants which is have antihypertension effect and contains phytol, dietil phtalat, flavonoid. This research is aimed to know influence of ethanol extract of bilimbi leaves (EEBL) through its on the increase of the antihypertensive effect of captopril in hypertensive rats. This research used a pre-test and post-test matched control group design. Sample were 30 male Wistar rats treated with MSG 100 mg/kgBW/day (po) for 14 days to induce hypertension. Hypertensive rats were divided into six treatment groups are hypertension control group (0.5% CMC-Na 12.5 mL/kgBW/day) and positive control group (captopril 2.5 mg/kgBW/day), and treatment hypertensive rats EEBL (60 and 120) mg/kgBW/day, combination of EEBL-captopril (60+2.5)mg/kgBW/day and combination EEBL-captopril (120+2.5) mg/kgBW/day. Suspension test were given for 14 days. Observed data is a decrease in blood pressure after giving of the suspension test. Data analysis was performed with the parametric t-test paired and nonparametric Wilcoxon with 95% level of confidence. The result shows that MSG can be as inducer of hypertension. EEBL (60 and 120) mg/kgBW/day has antihypertensive effect. The increase antihypertensive effect of captopril on systolic blood pressure is showed in the treatment EEBL 120 mg/kgBW/day
Panax ginseng Modulates Cytokines in Bone Marrow Toxicity and Myelopoiesis: Ginsenoside Rg1 Partially Supports Myelopoiesis
In this study, we have demonstrated that Korean Panax ginseng (KG) significantly enhances myelopoiesis in vitro and reconstitutes bone marrow after 5-flurouracil-induced (5FU) myelosuppression in mice. KG promoted total white blood cell, lymphocyte, neutrophil and platelet counts and improved body weight, spleen weight, and thymus weight. The number of CFU-GM in bone marrow cells of mice and serum levels of IL-3 and GM-CSF were significantly improved after KG treatment. KG induced significant c-Kit, SCF and IL-1 mRNA expression in spleen. Moreover, treatment with KG led to marked improvements in 5FU-induced histopathological changes in bone marrow and spleen, and partial suppression of thymus damage. The levels of IL-3 and GM-CSF in cultured bone marrow cells after 24 h stimulation with KG were considerably increased. The mechanism underlying promotion of myelopoiesis by KG was assessed by monitoring gene expression at two time-points of 4 and 8 h. Treatment with Rg1 (0.5, 1 and 1.5 µmol) specifically enhanced c-Kit, IL-6 and TNF-α mRNA expression in cultured bone marrow cells. Our results collectively suggest that the anti-myelotoxicity activity and promotion of myelopoiesis by KG are mediated through cytokines. Moreover, the ginsenoside, Rg1, supports the role of KG in myelopoiesis to some extent
Body Cliff Safety Study Of Double Track Railway With Geostudio Slope/W Analysis
Double track railway construction area railroad crossing many hills and rivers makes the railroad body located between the slopes of the hill. Around the area, disasters that often occur are landslides caused by increased pore water pressure on the slope resulting a decrease in the shear strength of the soil (c) and the deep shear angle (φ). Therefore in planning the handling of cliffs of railroad tracks it is necessary to analyze the stability of slopes or cliffs so as not to endanger the surrounding environment, especially in railroad transportation. The purpose of the research are: (1) To know the cross section of the safest slope by considering the slope angle, (2) To Find the value of the safe factor for shear and rolling on the slope by using software analysis, (3) To know type of slope safety in accordance with slope conditions. The location of this research was conducted in the Martapura-Giham area which is the location of the construction of double track railroad, Waykanan Regency, Lampung. The method used in the analysis of slope stability is Geostudio Slope/W Analysis by making 3 cross-section slope designs which are then analyzed further. The results of the analysis found that the slope conditions before handling obtained the number of safe factors with ordinary, bishop, and morgenstern methods, respectively 0.730; 0.911; and 0.950. While after handling with sheetpile construction, it was obtained the number of safe factors with ordinary, bishop, and morgenstern methods in a row that is 2,945; 3,633; and No Solution. It can be concluded that the slope condition after handling shows increase in the value of the safe factor by 500%. Keywords: Geostudio Slope/W Analysis, Double track railroad, Cliffs and slope stability
Uji Aktivitas Antidiabetes Kombinasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Alpukat dan Rimpang Temulawak pada Tikus Dm Tipe-2 yang Mengalami Resistensi Insulin
Avocado's leaves and Curcuma xanthorrizarhizoma contain compounds of flavonoids, alcaloids, triterpenoids and curcumin, where the compounds are effective as antidiabetic agents. This study aims to prove the effect of antidiabetic combination of extracts on insulin resistence type-2 diabetic rats then to compare it with a single extract. This research used pre-test and post-test control group design. The 30 test animals were divided into two treatment groups. Five control groups of rats were they given 1,25 mL aquabides/KgBW/day, and 25 rats were divided into five groups and given were given 1,8 IU insulin/KgBW/day for 14 days. Group I was control of 12,5 mL CMC-Na/KgBW/day 0,5%, group II was positive control of 150 mg metformin/KgBW/day, group III was avocado's leaves extract, group IV was extract of Curcuma xanthorriza rhizoma, and group V was combination extract. The extracts of group III-V were given the same dose, that was given 200 mg/KgBW/day for 14 days. The meansurement of antidiabetic effect was done by comparing the GDP value of rats before and after treatment. The GDP concentrations of rats were analyzed using T-paired testand Wilxocon test, whereas the comparative data of percentage GDP decrease was tested using Kruskall Wallis test then followed by Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the effect of antidiabetic combination of extract in insulin resistence type-2 diabetic rats as the percentage GDP decrease was 22.03%. The effect of decreasing GDP concentration at the ratio of 1:1 extract did not differ significantly with the single extract of 200 mg Curcuma xanthorrizarhizoma/KgBW/day
AGV with vision navigation: A study
This thesis describes the use of a vision system for navigating an AGV through a given path. Many different kinds of sensors are used nowadays for the self-navigation of mobile robots. But most sensors limit the use and flexibility of the AGV because of its dependence in outside tools that only work with their corresponding environment. It is ideal to have an AGV that can be trained and can learn to maneuver through the paths in its environment. It is this reason why the use of neural networks is gaining popularity in the use of mobile robots. A vision system or a camera is normally the sensor that is utilized.
This thesis includes how the vision system may be utilized to work with neural networks in identifying and in making the decisions in navigation. This leads to an improvement in the flexibility of an AGV by enabling AGVs to function and navigate through any environment given that the AGV is made to learn the environment.
This thesis will also include the results and analysis of weights obtained from training using backpropagation neural networks and also path navigating repeatability. A training data is obtained by taking pictures of possible situations by which the camera will see, and was used in the backpropagation training program to obtain weights that will be used by the AGV. The weights are used by the AGV to determine what reaction or direction it should go given what it sees from its environment.
The environment the AGV navigates on is a controlled environment of similar objects and this environment is what is used in this thesis for the AGV to learn
