    The PD-Utility Function for Prospect Behavior and Related Researches

    Based on Partial Distribution [11],[12], we put forward a PD-utility function of prospect behavior for the first time, the profiting utility function and losing utility function. The PD-utility function can reflect sufficiently the human¡¯s risk preferences properties to profiting or losing, describe and bring to light availably the important relations between profiting utility and losing utility, and interpret many conclusions in Daniel Kahneman¡¯s prospect theory in analytic way. Also we present the concepts and analytic expressions of essential indexes of realized level for prospect behavior, the limit value, the balanced value, and focus value, especially the method of calculating them. The limit level is beneficial to judge the reversal position of reality movement trend, and the latter is beneficial to judge that the focus of current reality is reasonableness or not.     Part 5: Modelling and SimulationInternational audienceThis paper proposes a dynamic comprehensive evaluation method based on three times weight. Firstly, this paper determines the index weight based on the twice stage difference driving features. Then it introduces the relative balance coefficient to calculate the comprehensive evaluation value. This method has the following characteristics: 1) The comprehensive evaluation result is totally based on the information provided by the evaluating indicator system, without the influence from subjective factors; 2) The results have direct comparability among different evaluation systems at each time; 3) Motivation or punishment are the characteristics of this method. This approach has been applied to an empirical study of the regional economic growth level during the years of 2001 and 2011. Finally this paper makes related suggestions to the economic development of eight domestic economic regions

    Incidence of biliary atresia associated congenital malformations: A retrospective multicenter study in China

    SummaryBackgroundSome patients with biliary atresia (BA) have associated anomalies. Our study aimed to investigate the incidence of BA-associated malformations in mainland China, and compare the results with those reported in the Western literature.MethodsClinical data were collected retrospectively from five medical centers in mainland China. BA patients were diagnosed and confirmed by laparotomy with intraoperative cholangiography and liver biopsy. Cases were divided into isolated type BA and BA with associated anomalies, including polysplenia, situs inversus, intestinal malrotation, and cardiovascular anomalies.ResultsA total of 851 BA patients were recruited from Tianjin, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Patients were grouped as follows: Type I, 13 cases (1.5%); Type II, five cases (0.6%); Type III, 833 cases (97.9%). Forty-two (4.94%) patients had 54 associated congenital abnormalities. The intra-abdominal anomalies included polysplenia (n = 4, 1 fusion between liver and spleen), situs inversus (n = 2), and intestinal malrotation (n = 3). The cardiovascular anomalies included atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defect (n = 29), patent foramen ovale (n = 1), patent ductus arteriosus (n = 4), and other cardiac malformations (n = 3, including coronary sinus dilation, left superior vena cava, Tetralogy of Fallot).ConclusionOur data showed that spleen anomaly is not as common as reported in the Western literature. The difference may suggests different genetic and environmental risk factors for BA

    Sulphur isotopes toward Sagittarius B2 extended envelope in the Galactic Center

    The isotopic ratios are good tools for probing the stellar nucleosynthesis and chemical evolution. We performed high-sensitivity mapping observations of the J=7-6 rotational transitions of OCS, OC34S, O13CS, and OC33S toward the Galactic Center giant molecular cloud, Sagittarius B2 (Sgr B2) with IRAM 30m telescope. Positions with optically thin and uncontaminated lines are chosen to determine the sulfur isotope ratios. A 32S/34S ratio of 17.1\pm0.9 was derived with OCS and OC34S lines, while 34S/33S ratio of 6.8\pm1.9 was derived directly from integrated intensity ratio of OC34S and OC33S. With independent and accurate measurements of 32S/34S ratio, our results confirm the termination of the decreasing trend of 32S/34S ratios toward the Galactic Center, suggesting a drop in the production of massive stars at the Galactic centre.Comment: 20 pages, 7 figures, accepted by PAS

    Transcribing Latin Manuscripts in Respect to Linguistics

    Current text detection software, although can transcribe modern languages with high accuracy, has flaws detecting texts and transcribing original Latin manuscripts sufficiently. This paper proposes a general approach for transcribing Latin manuscripts in respect to linguistics and develops a system to transcribe Latin manuscripts containing intricate abbreviations, which combines basic object detection algorithms with linguistics.     CMTR: Cross-modality Transformer for Visible-infrared Person Re-identification

    Visible-infrared cross-modality person re-identification is a challenging ReID task, which aims to retrieve and match the same identity's images between the heterogeneous visible and infrared modalities. Thus, the core of this task is to bridge the huge gap between these two modalities. The existing convolutional neural network-based methods mainly face the problem of insufficient perception of modalities' information, and can not learn good discriminative modality-invariant embeddings for identities, which limits their performance. To solve these problems, we propose a cross-modality transformer-based method (CMTR) for the visible-infrared person re-identification task, which can explicitly mine the information of each modality and generate better discriminative features based on it. Specifically, to capture modalities' characteristics, we design the novel modality embeddings, which are fused with token embeddings to encode modalities' information. Furthermore, to enhance representation of modality embeddings and adjust matching embeddings' distribution, we propose a modality-aware enhancement loss based on the learned modalities' information, reducing intra-class distance and enlarging inter-class distance. To our knowledge, this is the first work of applying transformer network to the cross-modality re-identification task. We implement extensive experiments on the public SYSU-MM01 and RegDB datasets, and our proposed CMTR model's performance significantly surpasses existing outstanding CNN-based methods.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures, 7 table
