    Hidden Curriculum Pada Sistem Pendidikan Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (Stain) Purwokerto Tahun 2013

    Hidden curriculum refers to all matters influncing the teaching and learning process. This means that hidden curriculum contains practices and educational results not explicitly stated in the written curriculum.This is a field research conducting in STAIN (State College on Islamic Studies) of Purwokerto in 2013. This research used sociological and antrophological approach. The other aproach used in this research was fenomenology and symbolic interactionalism. This is a grounded research in which all analysis were based on data and factsfound in the field. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative analysis. Hidden curriculum results from the practice of lecturing in which some lecturers do not refer to the curse outline. Hidden curriculum influnced by ideal dimension can be seen from thewill to improve the institution and competency of lecturers andstudents. Behavioral dimension is not influenced by ideal dimension, but it is a cultural expression which is relatively common and spontaneous. Materials of hidden curriculum which are relatively unplanned in the ideal dimension are those which are already customized and out of awareness. Hidden Curriculum menunjuk kepada segala sesuatu yangdapat berpengaruh di dalam berlangsungnya proses pengajaran dan pendidikan yang mungkin dapat meningkatkan atau mendorong atau bahkan melemahkan USAha pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Dengan kata lain hidden curriculum menunjuk pada praktek dan hasil pendidikan yang tidak diuraikan dalam kurikulum terprogram atau petunjuk kurikulum kebijakan lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research). Dengan tempat penelitian di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Purwokerto Tahun 2013. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan sosiologis–antropologis.Pendekatan lainya yang bisa dikembangkan yaitu pendekatan fenomenologis-interaksi simbol. Pendekatan ini berasumsi bahwa pengalaman manusia ditengahi oleh penafsiran.Penelitian ini bersifat grounded research dengan mendasarkan semua analisa pada data dan fakta yang diperoleh di lapangan. Metode pengumpulan datanya adalah metode observasi,metode wawancara, metode dokumentasi. Metode analisa data yang digunakan analisis data kualitatif4, dengan teknik deskriptifanatilis Hidden curriculum dalam perkuliahan terjadi karena beberapa dosen masih menggunakan cara perkuliahan tanpa mengacu padasilabus Satuan Acara Perkuliahan. Hidden curriculum yang digerakkan oleh dimensi ide, dapat dilihat dari keinginan pengembangan kapasitas kelembagaan dan kemampuan dosen dan mahasiswa. Dimensi perilaku yang tidak digerakkan oleh dimensi ide, tapi sabagai ekspresi cultural yang relatif telah membudaya dan tidak disadari.     Penentuan Jenis Nyamuk Mansoniasebagai Tersangka Vektor Filariasis Brugia Malayi dan Hewan Zoonosis di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi

    Filariasis merupakan penyakit yang tidak mudah menular. Filariasis adalah penyakit yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk sebagai vector. Jenis nyamuk yang dapat berperan sebagai vector filariasis dipengaruhi oleh jenis cacing penyebab filaria. Brugia spp. umumnya ditularkan oleh nyamuk Mansonia spp dan Anopheles spp. Vektor dan hewan zoonosis merupakan salah satu factor yang dapat perlu mendapat perhatian dalam pengendalian filariasis. Penelitian terhadap vector dan hewan zoonosis telah dilakukan di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi untuk mengidentifikasi bionomik vektor dan kemungkinan adanya hewan zoonosis yang berperan sebagai penular filariasis. Desain penelitian adalah observasi, yaitu dengan melakukan penangkapan nyamuk dan pemeriksaan darah terhadap kucing. Jumlah kucing yang diperiksa sebanyak 18 ekor. Kucing yang positif microfilaria sebanyak 1 ekor. Jumlah nyamuk Mansonia spp. tertangkap sebanyak 1,167 ekor yang terdiri dari 6 species. Spesies nyamuk tertangkap paling banyak adalah Mansonia uniformis sebanyak 1.010 ekor dengan angka kekerapan 1,0. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka diperlukan peran serta masyarakat untuk mengurangi kepadatan nyamuk dengan membersihkan genangan air dan mencegah gigitan nyamuk. Selain itu diperlukan juga penanganan terhadap hewan yang bertindak sebagai zoonosis dengan memberikan pengobatan terhadap kucing agar tidak menjadi sumber infeksi.Keywords : filariasis, Mansonia, vektor, zoonosis, Muaro Jambi.AbstractFilariasisis noteasily transmitted diseases. Filariasisis transmitted by mosquito vectors. Various types of mosquitoes can act as vectors of filariasis, depending on the type of microfilaria. Brugia spp. are generally transmitted by Mansonia spp and Anopheles spp. Vector and zoonotic animal are the factors that can transmit filariasis and need to have attention for controlling filariasis. Research on vector and zoonotic had been done in Muaro Jambi to determine bionomic vector and the possibility of animals can transmit filariasis. The study design was observational survey, that cought mosquitoes and inspection activities zoonotic. Cats that examined were 18. Cat with positive microfilaria was 1 cat. Number of Mansonia spp. captured was 1,167 which consisted of 6 species consisting of 6 species. Mansonia uniformis was the largest species cought numbering 1.010 with 1.00 frequency rate with 1,010 mosquitoes that frequency rate of 1,00.     Analysis of the Export-base Commodity Supply on the Economic Growth in Aceh, Indonesia

    The study aims to identify export base sectors and to analyse its impact to the economic growth based on the Cobb Douglas production function. Some relevant theories to support our arguments among others are base sector, export base and economic growth theory. Data of central government capital spending (CGB), local government capital spending (LGB), export average price (Pavg), provincial minimum wage (W) and linear multiple regression model is employed. The results show that the agriculture is the only basis sector in Aceh. The role of local government capital spending in the export based commodity supply contradicts the theory, provided indication that the local government capital spending has not been able to pull the economic growth. The role of central government capital spending, export average price and minimum wage have been in accordance with the available theoretical background. All independent variables are found to be statistically significant both partially and simultaneously, indicating that those variables are economically important to develop export base sectors in Aceh, however the impact on economic growth is relatively small

    Isolation and Characterization of Phage Specific to E. Coli O157:H7

    . Phage therapy is not new because it has been practiced since the early 1900s to cure diseases such as shigellosis, typhus and dysentery that caused by bacteria. However, when antibiotics were discovered in 1941, this antibacterial therapy was quickly abandoned by most western scientists. Antibiotic treatment is usually prescribed to treat pathogenic bacteria E. coliO157:H7. However, since 1950s, the widespread resistance to antibiotics has raised public concern on development of alternatives to antibiotics. As a result of this resistance, there becomes a need for an alternative treatment to work synergistically with antibiotic to deal with bacterial infections. This has led to a new approach by the use of bacteriophage which is phage therapy. Once again, this treatment has received attention as an alternative method against bacterial infection. Phage therapy is the treatment on pathogenic bacterial infections by using bacteriophage which capable of invading bacterial cells and disrupting bacterial metabolism before lysing it. Phages are extremely host-specific and the natural enemies of bacteria. It soon becomes clear that there are huge numbers of bacteriophages existed and waiting to be isolated. Phage specific to E. coliO157:H7 was successfully isolated from sewage treatment sample. The appearance of plaques on lawn of E. coliO157:H7 plate indicates phage capabilities to infect and lyses the host cells. The isolated phage was further characterized based on its morphology, genomic profile, physicochemical attributes, and host specificity to assess their potentials to be developed as phage therapy against E. coliO157:H7

    Strategi Komunikasi Siswa dan Guru Kelas XI SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara dalam Proses Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

    The mastery of various foreign languages causes frequent obstacles in the delivery of messages to the speech partners. As a result, teachers and class XI students of SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara used various communication strategies to deal with these obstacles. This study aims to describe the communication strategies used by teachers and class XI students of SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara in the class of Indonesian Language lessons. This research was done by a descriptive method and qualitative approach. The data was collected in March to October 2017 from one classroom teacher and one class XI of grade student of SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara. Data retrieval was carried out during the teaching and learning activities in the classroom when the teacher is teaching the Indonesian language. This study uses skillful free listening techniques to collect data. The data analysis was used the flow technique, namely (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. The validity test of the data is done by (1) persistence observations, (2) peer examination, and (3) triangulation. The results study included: (1) when communicating with classmates, students use various communication strategies namely imitation communication strategies, the use of certain body language according to the meaning of communication that they want to achieve, and the transfer awareness communication strategies. (2) communication strategies in the classroom are mostly carried out by the teacher when communicating with students. The communication strategy of students with teachers includes (a) paraphrase, (b) transfer awareness type, (c) asking for help type, (d) avoiding type and (e) imitating type. Penguasaan bahasa yang bermacam-macam menyebabkan sering terjadi beberapa kendala dalam penyampaian pesan kepada mitra tuturnya. Akibatnya, guru dan siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara menggunakan berbagai strategi komunikasi untuk menghadapi kendala tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan deskripsi tentang strategi komunikasi yang digunakan guru dan siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara ketika proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini sebanyak satu orang guru kelas dan siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada saat berlangsungnya KBM di kelas ketika guru sedang mengajar bahasa Indonesia dan dilakukan mulai Maret 2017 s.d. Oktober 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik alir, yaitu: (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan simpulan/verifikasi. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan (1) ketekunan pengamatan, (2) pemeriksaan teman sejawat, dan (3) triangulasi. Hasil penelitian berupa strategi: (1) Saat berkomunikasi dengan teman sekelas, siswa menggunakan berbagai strategi komunikasi, berupa strategi komunikasi peniruan, penggunaan bahasa tubuh tertentu sesuai dengan makna komunikasi yang ingin dicapainya, dan strategi komunikasi tipe kesadaran transfer. (2) Strategi komunikasi di kelas kebanyakan dilakukan oleh guru saat berkomunikasi dengan siswanya.     Active involvement of students in co-curriculum (sports) versus generic skills

    The active involvement of students in sports activities is viewed from different levels of achievement beginning with the national representation of the residential colleges, faculties, and universities in prestigious sporting events at international levels. The skills that are developed through extra-curricular activities are generic skills. The involvement of students in co-curricular activities can help to shape their generic skills, thus leading to self-promotion in the workplace. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to examine the enhancement of generic skills among engineering and technical students of UTHM who are actively involved in co-curricular activities (sports). This study will focus on identifying the factors of involvement, the level of application among students, and the perceptions of the students through their active involvement in extra-curricular activities (sports). A survey was conducted using a quantitative approach. A general questionnaire, which was designed to fulfil the objectives and to answer the research questions for this study, was distributed to 213 engineering and technical student athletes of UTHM who are actively involved in co-curricular activities (sports). It was found that the engineering and technical student athletes of UTHM agreed that their active involvement in extra-curricular activities (sports) was due to interpersonal, intrapersonal and structural factors. The results showed that out of seven generic skills, three constructs of generic skills, namely communication, teamwork and management, demonstrate a high level of application through active involvement in extra-curricular activities (sports). These findings may also help the university to focus on the development of generic skills in engineering and technical students through co-curricular activities (sports) in addition to producing athletes who are able to create a name for the university at national or international level
