    THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE LEVEL AND THE INCIDENCE OF SEAFOOD POISONING IN THE ISLAND REGION IN 2020

    Seafood is a term for food in the form of marine animals and plants that are caught, fished, taken from the sea or cultivated.  Society is a set of human beings who due to the demands of needs and influence certain  beliefs, thoughts, and ambitions are united in collective life.  The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge levels and the incidence of seafood poisoning in the archipelago in 2020. This study uses a correlational descriptive research design with the approach used is cross sectional.  The sampling technique used is Non probability sampling, namely 49 communities in the working area of the Tembeling Health Center, Bintan Regency. Data collection is carried out by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis using Univariate and Bivariate analysis. The results showed that the majority of people had gained knowledge about seafood poisoning as much as 70% and almost some people had never experienced the incidence of seafood poisoning, namely as much as (55%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the incidence of seafood poisoning  = 0.002. The results of this study concluded that the more ever and higher in obtaining public knowledge, the better it will be in preventing the occurrence of seafood poisoning

    Effect of Combining Electron Beam Irradiation and Alkaline Pretreatments of OPEFB for Enzymatic Hydrolysis and Fermentation of Ethanol

    The effect of pretreatment process from the combination of electron beam irradiation and alkaline to Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) was studied. The combination of pretreatment method was considered as an alternative way to increase glucose yield. In this study, OPEFB was pretreated using Electron Beam Irradiation (EBI) at 100 kGy and 300 kGy and followed by chemical pretreatment. In chemical pretreatment, irradiated OPEFB was reacted with sodium hydroxide 6% and 10% in stirred vessel at 4 bars and 150 oC for 30 min. The effectiveness of pretreatment was evaluated by calculating the composition of chemical component using National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Method. The samples which were hydrolyzed using enzymes with the addition of 30 FPU of Cellic®CTec2 per gram of pretreated biomass resulted high glucose in the amount of 9.86%. The fermentation process using Saccharomyces cereviceae obtained the highest ethanol concentration for 5.36% at 72h.     In general, the agricultural producing sector is affected by the diversity in supply, mostly from small companies, in addition to the rigidity of the demand, the territorial dispersion, the seasonality or the generation of employment related to the rural environment. These characteristics differentiate the agricultural sector from other economic sectors. On the other hand, the volatility of prices payed by producers, the high cost of raw materials, and the instability of both domestic and international markets are factors which have eroded the competitiveness and profitability of the agricultural sector. Because of the advance in technology, applications have been developed based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) which have helped the development of sales forecast on consumer products, improving the accuracy of traditional forecasting systems.     Instant coffee products are very popular for consumers, at both urban and rural levels. Consumer loyalties respond to various attributes of instant coffee products, grouped by internal and external factors. The study using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. The proposed method provides a direct mapping from configuration loyalty attributes to consumer behavior. The algorithm used in training set is Scaled Conjugate Gradient (SCG) with random data division and the performance is calculated using MSE. The result revealed that internal factors were effective predictors of a lower preference in consumer loyalties whereas external factors were more effective in predicting a higher preference in consumer loyalties. This research represents a first attempt to use neural networking to model the relationship between consumer-producer attributes and consumer loyalties.Produkty kawy rozpuszczalnej są bardzo popularne wśród konsumentów, zarówno w obszarach miejskich, jak i wiejskich. Lojalność konsumentów reaguje na różne cechy wymienionych produktów kawowych, można je pogrupować według czynników wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych. Badanie przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem modelu sztucznej sieci neuronowej (ANN). Proponowana metoda zapewnia bezpośrednie odwzorowanie atrybutów lojalnościowych i konfiguracji zachowań konsumenckich. Algorytmem używanym w badaniu jest Scaled Conjugate Gradient (SCG) z losowym podziałem danych, a wydajność obliczana jest za pomocą MSE. Rezultaty wskazują, że czynniki wewnętrzne były skutecznymi predyktorami niższej preferencji w lojalności konsumentów, podczas gdy czynniki zewnętrzne były bardziej skuteczne w przewidywaniu wyższych preferencji w lojalności konsumentów.     The agricultural sector in tourism is often called agrotourism. Kopi Luwak (Civet Coffee) Cikole, located in Kampung Babakan, produces Luwak coffee that applies animal welfare, so that agrotourism is awarded as Animal Wellfare-based agro-tourism. Kopi Luwak Cikole offers educational tours for its visitors. Visitorsto agrotourism are thought to have a specific purpose. Various people who visit Agro Tourism are seen from the characteristics of visitors and visiting decision making. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and consumer decision-making processes of Kopi Luwak Cikole. Data analysis was carried out with descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of Kopi Luwak Cikole respondents are mostly resident of Malaysia, male, 36-45 years old, their last education is Bachelor, have occupation as a Private or Government Employee with monthly income ≥ Rp. 5,000,001. The visiting decision at the need recognition stage is the motivation to visit agro tourism. This is because attractive facilities with benefits sought during a visit are adding to the knowledge of cultivation and process of civet coffee. Evaluation phase, consideration for visiting is because of civet coffee education. Furthermore, the decision to visit is carried out in a planned manner which on average is carried out during holidays. The level of satisfaction after post-visit, shows visitors feel satisfied with the facilities in agrotourism

    Dampak Penerapan Program Desa Organik terhadap Petani di Desa Cibodas Kab.bandung Barat

    Dalam upaya meningkatkan kedaulatan pangan, pemerintah memproklamirkan Pembangunan Desa Pertanian Organik. Program ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sistem USAhatani ramah lingkungan dengan input pertanian mandiri berdasarkan potensi agroekosistem dan keanekaragaman hayati, serta produksi komoditas berkualitas dan aman untuk dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Program ini dilaksanakan di 600 desa untuk pengembangan pertanian organik komoditas pangan, 250 desa hortikultura, dan 150 desa perkebunan dan peternakan. Desa Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang merupakan salah satu desa organik untuk komoditas hortikultura. Penelitian ini mencoba mempelajari pelaksanaan program desa organik di Cibodas dan untuk melihat dampak program desa organik yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat tani Desa Cibodas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan responden 60 petani horti di Cibodas. Model analisis data Miles dan Huberman digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan program Desa Organik di Cibodas belum berjalan dengan maksimal. Dari 12 item kegiatan pengembangan desa organik, baru 6 item yang telah diterapkan. Dampak dari program yang dirasakan oleh petani diantaranya terdapat Perubahan tingkat kognitif dan psikomotorik petani terkait pembuatan pestisida alami, pupuk kandang serta pembentukan Desa Sehat. Jumlah calon petani organik pun terjaring 54 orang. Tujuan program desa organik yaitu menciptakan banyak petani organik belum sepenuhnya berhasil karena belum adanya sosialisasi, pendampingan dan evaluasi dari pemerintah sebagai pembuat program.     Most young farmers in Cibodas Village, Lembang Sub-district are able to develop agriculture with modern patterns and keep up with technological developments. But, the farmer still running their agribusiness enterprises individually. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of young farmers as well as the correlation with group interest and to determine the level of interest of farmers towards farmers' group. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using an aritmaticmean and rank spearman analysis tool, the selection of samples in this study is using a purposive sampling technique of 100 samples. The results of this study show that young farmers are dominated by male farmers aged 38-44 years, at most junior high school educated and have experience of farming no more than 10 years. Access to information obtained by farmers is easy to obtain and most of them have land no more than 2.88 hectares, 78 people from 100 farmers are not affiliated with farmer groups. The level of interest of farmers is in a low category. The correlation between the characteristics of farmers and interest towards farmers' group has a positive correlation, with indicators of education, farming experience, access to information and land area
