Quantum entangled ground states of two spinor Bose-Einstein condensates
We revisit in detail the non-mean-field ground-state phase diagram for a
binary mixture of spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates including quantum
fluctuations. The non-commuting terms in the spin-dependent Hamiltonian under
single spatial mode approximation make it difficult to obtain exact
eigenstates. Utilizing the spin z-component conservation and the total spin
angular momentum conservation, we numerically derive the information of the
building blocks and evaluate von Neumann entropy to quantify the ground states.
The mean-field phase boundaries are found to remain largely intact, yet the
ground states show fragmented and entangled behaviors within large parameter
spaces of interspecies spin-exchange and singlet-pairing interactions.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figure
Space Alignment Based on Regularized Inversion Precoding in Cognitive Transmission
For a two-tier Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) cognitive network with common receiver, the precoding matrix has a compact relationship with the capacity performance in the unlicensed secondary system. To increase the capacity of secondary system, an improved precoder based on the idea of regularized inversion for secondary transmitter is proposed. An iterative space alignment algorithm is also presented to ensure the Quality of Service (QoS) for primary system. The simulations reveal that, on the premise of achieving QoS for primary system, our proposed algorithm can get larger capacity in secondary system at low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), which proves the effectiveness of the algorithm
The optical/UV excess of isolated neutron stars in the RCS model
The X-ray dim isolated neutron stars (XDINSs) are peculiar pulsar-like
objects, characterized by their very well Planck-like spectrum. In studying
their spectral energy distributions, the optical/UV excess is a long standing
problem. Recently, Kaplan et al. (2011) have measured the optical/UV excess for
all seven sources, which is understandable in the resonant cyclotron scattering
(RCS) model previously addressed. The RCS model calculations show that the RCS
process can account for the observed optical/UV excess for most sources . The
flat spectrum of RX J2143.0+0654 may due to contribution from bremsstrahlung

AXPs and SGRs in the outer gap model: confronting Fermi observations
Anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs) and soft gamma-ray repeaters (SGRs) are
magnetar candidates, i.e., neutron stars powered by strong magnetic field. If
they are indeed magnetars, they will emit high-energy gamma-rays which are
detectable by Fermi-LAT according to the outer gap model. However, no
significant detection is reported in recent Fermi-LAT observations of all known
AXPs and SGRs. Considering the discrepancy between theory and observations, we
calculate the theoretical spectra for all AXPs and SGRs with sufficient
observational parameters. Our results show that most AXPs and SGRs are
high-energy gamma-ray emitters if they are really magnetars. The four AXPs 1E
1547.0-5408, XTE J1810-197, 1E 1048.1-5937, and 4U 0142+61 should have been
detected by Fermi-LAT. Then there is conflict between out gap model in the case
of magnetars and Fermi observations. Possible explanations in the magnetar
model are discussed. On the other hand, if AXPs and SGRs are fallback disk
systems, i.e., accretion-powered for the persistent emissions, most of them are
not high-energy gamma-ray emitters. Future deep Fermi-LAT observations of AXPs
and SGRs will help us make clear whether they are magnetars or fallback disk

Understanding the different rotational behaviors of No and No
Total Routhian surface calculations have been performed to investigate
rapidly rotating transfermium nuclei, the heaviest nuclei accessible by
detailed spectroscopy experiments. The observed fast alignment in No
and slow alignment in No are well reproduced by the calculations
incorporating high-order deformations. The different rotational behaviors of
No and No can be understood for the first time in terms of
deformation that decreases the energies of the
intruder orbitals below the N=152 gap. Our investigations reveal the importance
of high-order deformation in describing not only the multi-quasiparticle states
but also the rotational spectra, both providing probes of the single-particle

The evolution of large-bodied theropod dinosaurs during the Mesozoic in Asia
The fossil record of large-bodied, apex carnivorous theropod dinosaurs in Eastern Asia is now among the best understood in the world, thanks to new discoveries and reinterpretations of long-neglected fossils. Asia boasts the most complete record of Middle Jurassic theropods globally, as well as one of the best-studied Late Cretaceous theropod faunas, and new research is helping to fill what was previously a 60-million-year gap in the Early-mid Cretaceous fossil record of large Asian predators. In general, the bio-geographic affinities of large-bodied Asian theropods over time were intimately related to physical geography, and progressively more derived theropod clades evolved large body size and occupied the apex predator niche throughout the Jurassic and Cretaceous. During the Middle Jurassic, largely endemic clades of basal tetanurans were prevalent in Asia, whereas during the Late Jurassic mid Cretaceous more derived “intermediate” tetanuran theropods with cosmopolitan affinities occupied the large predator role, including sinraptorids, spinosauris, and carcharodontosaurians. Finalli, during the final 20 million years of the Cretaceous, more derived, bird-like coelurosaurs attained large body size. Foremost among these were the tyrannosaurids, a radiation of northern (Asian and North American) megapredators whose ascent into the apex predator niche was a delayed event restricted to the Campanian-Masastrichian. As Asia is the focus of intense ongoing dinosaur fieldwork, our undestarnding of large-bodied theropod evolution will continue to be refined with future discoveries.El registro fósil de los dinosaurios carnívoros terópodos de gran talla en el este de Asia es uno de los mejor conocidos del mundo, gracias a nuevos descubrimientos y reinterpretaciones de fósiles que han permanecido pobremente estudiados durante mucho tiempo. Globalmente, Asia comprende el registro fósil mas completo de terópodos del Jurasico Medio, así como una de las faunas finicretácicas mejor estudiadas. Asimismo, las nuevas investigaciones están contribuyendo a completar un hiato de 60 millones de años en el registro fósil de grandes depredadores asiáticos correspondientes al Cretácico inferior-medio. En general las afinidades biogeográficas de los grandes terópodos asiáticos a través del tiempo se hallan íntimamente ligadas a la geografía física. Progresivamente, varios clados derivados de terópodos evolucionaron grandes tallas corporales, ocupando la cima del nicho de depredador durante todo el Jurasico y el Cretácico. Durante el Jurasico Medio prevalecieron clados de tetanuros basales mayormente endémicos, mientras que durante el Jurásico Superior-Cretácico Medio clados más derivados de terópodos tetanuros “intermedios” de afinidades cosmopolitas ocuparon el papel de gran depredador, incluyendo sinraptoridos, espinosauridos y carcharodontosauridos. Finalmente, durante los ultimos 20 millones de anos del Cretacico, coelurosaurios mas derivados con aspecto reminiscente a las aves alcanzaron grandes tallas corporales. Pirmordialmente entre estas formas se hallaban los tiranosauridos, una radiación septentrional (asiáticos y norteamericanos) de megadepredadores cuyo ascenso a la cumbre del nicho de gran depredador se retraso hasta el Campaniense y Maastrichtiense.
